well im very interested in building a fatech right now and though i have built techs before i have never been an expert at it. if anyone is kind enough to help me, id really appreciate it :) i want to do this thing right so i want my at's perfect

I'm no expert, but my understanding is that Sub Bonus affects the colour of the hold, SDI affects the actual damage done and the injury chances, and DDi affects the initial damage. I could be well off though.

sb holds the move, sdi damage for the move, ddi does add a a small % of dam - as explained to me a very experienced an long time helper

Sb = hold strength. This means the chances of preventing the opponent escaping from the hold. It seems the 2nd hold needs more Sb from the first hold as it is much easier to escape from the 2nd hold than it is from the first hold. Sb also affects the "damage" text like giving you destructive holds even though you may do very little dmg, this imo is a bug and doesn't reflect on the dmg at all making the whole sub "damage" text very mis leading. Sb also seems tobe used for the initial hit of a submission move ( like how ab is used for ddi moves ) but this is my speculation on testing I've done, nothing factual here.

Sdi = The multiplier that your sub rolled dmg does for each HOLD. This is also what will give you your injuries more or less. The more dmg you do to your opponent, the easier they are to injure basically. There is a chance a small portion of SDI is used initial hit too but it's not a lot if any.

DDI = only plays a part in the initial hit of a sub hold , has nothing at all to do with submission hold dmg. You can get injuries with DDI though because if your DDI mvoes and sub moves initial hits are doing a lot of dmg and wearing your opponent down then even a weaker low SDI hold can injure them.

How much SB is enough? When you notice you connect 80%+ of your double holds. As you dont know your opponents stamina/escape sub you just have to go by what you see in matches. Note that you MUST conenct a double hold to score an injury, this makes sb a lot more important than it used to be imo.

There are no new sub damages? Seeing as Sb is a factor in the text any chart will never be accurate.

Like I said it won't matter because it does not use damage so yo ucannot tell the dmg from the #'s.

Interestingly there is a bug currently that instead of seeing "ripping" etc. you see #'s in the streaming matches ( i.e. before you click 'view result' ). Those #'s are what then get converted into ripping text etc.
Looking through them after a league it is quite difficult to see how they are made up but what I can tell is that they certianly aren't made up of submission dmg * SDI or my #'s would have been much higher. Seems to be the hold dmg * some submission bonus factor but then finishers seem to work differently again. Very confussing.

yeah doc, i've been seeing that a lot. even i hit ripping to destructive with 0 sb and sdi

well damage is damage and ab is ab. they serve the same purpose. damage for the initial hold attack and ab for it to actually hit
