People are wanting to know what we lock and delete threads for and individual posts.
Reasons for locking a thread...
1. Discussion is over and no new information can be added.
2. At the request of the initiating party.
Reasons for deleting a thread...
1. Thread hasnt been posted in, in over 2 months
2. Thread contains excessive flame towards players or staff.
3. Thread is entirely off topic and has too many posts for the staff to go through individually.
4. Initiating party has become abusive towards others and/or the site.
5. thread is longer than 3000 posts... and is not a pertinent post.
6. Initiating user made a swear or a hidden swear in the title of the post.
7.Thread already exsists
8. Thread has been previously locked and has not been contested.
Reasons for deleting an individual post...
1. contains inaproapriate material. ie sexuality, swears, or something deemed by staff as inaproapriate.
2. its spammy
3. It has already been said.
if a post is edited by a staff member that staff member must put thier name and reason why it was edited in the post made.
Mostly its the staffs judgement call on things. They are put in a position of trust and as such get the authority to act as they see fit. If you feel that the staff acted inaproapriately then send them a pm in the forums. If you feel that your thread was locked in error or against said reasons for lock or deletions then pm the forum moderator who locked it to discuss it. If you are unhappy with the way that it has been handled then place a post in the area of complaints and the thread for forum moderator complaints to have this looked at. If you have a complaint about me or Rem then send it to us in the respective sites.
