Chaos Awards Vol 34

Greetings One and Everyone!  

Thank you to everyone who tuned in for TNA Sacrifice and WWE Over the Limit. Although the events were hampered by lagging, it was a resounding success!

Onto Business!

Best Match – CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
I did LOVE this match. But everyone knows what I am about to go off at.
You have got to be kidding me.
This is a LIVE PPV and you stopped both of the highest priority Main Event matches on the card to fix guys who were cut open.
Pathetic.
This is the ultimate show of dropping a turd on the plate of everyone who has loved the detail of wrestling when things go wrong and they need to be changed during the match in between 1998 and 2007.
Triple H did it best. When someone got busted open (whether blade or by accident) the match would change to Triple H beating the wound for a few moments. Because they wanted to emphasise the Heel status of Triple H and him exploiting a weakness in the opponent, which made PERFECT SENSE in the minds of the fans.
Nowadays, Punk gets busted open from face planting the security barricade and gets busted open badly. STOP THE MATCH! REY LOOK INJURED… OR SOMETHING!
I felt like throwing up. The match would’ve been PERFECTLY FINE if it had gone on with Punk busted open. Punk would’ve gone into a HUGE fit of rage because Rey busted him open and Punk beats the crap out of Mysterio for a few mins. Before Rey gets the upper hand and wins in the same fashion at the PPV.
Simple? Yes.
Will it be put into good use? No.

Worst Match – Dolph Ziggler & Chavo Guerrero vs. Christian & Hornswoggle
Did I miss something?
Did Christian punch Stephanie while I was in the toilet? What happened? Why is Christian teaming up with the midget and WHY is Chavo BACK to facing Hornswoggle?
This is wrong on so many levels. Even Vickie hitting on Dolph I can believe… don’t ask me how, I just went “that’s believable” and moved on but I just plain and simply don’t get how you can have one of the best in ring and charismatic performers of this generation, one of the best charismatic performers of the last 10 years, a member of the famous Guerrero family and a midget in the same match!
Christian went from being #1 contender material to teaming with Hornswoggle in the space of what… 3 weeks?
Can someone please explain to me what happened? Cause I have no damn clue.

Best Performer – Big Show
The Miz’s face said it all.
Obviously I can’t actually say what I want to say, but The Miz was freaked out.
The Big Show is truly back to his best form. His match against Swagger at the PPV wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. It was much better than his last few months on Raw and Smackdown.
I will admit though, the ending to the World Title match was a bit crap. It could’ve ended on a better note. But hey, look on the bright side, it solidifies Big Show’s face turn and makes sure that Jack Swagger isn’t going to turn face and have Punk be the #1 contender!
Oh wait… Fatal Four Way. CRAP!
I hate it when I completely forget about the Pay Per View changes.
Oh well, maybe we’ll see something different. We probably won’t though.

Worst Performer – Randy Orton
HA… HAHA… HAHA!!
If anyone listened to the WWE Over the Limit audio commentary on my site, you will know EXACTLY how much I laughed my head off when I noticed that Orton had injured his arm.
I could not believe that Orton would be that vigorous with his thumping. So much, in fact, that he dislocated his shoulder.
Now, I do know that Randy Orton does suffer from Hypermobility of the shoulders… that means that his shoulder joints go further than ours do, sort of like having double jointed shoulders in a way. But this means that Randy is prone to shoulder injuries… which begs the question of why he was given a 10 year deal.
Anyway, in a related piece…
Many people have gone off at Mr. Anderson because he laughed at Randy’s misfortune. Guess what? I SUPPORT HIM!
Randy Orton got him fired. What would you do if the guy who got you fired injured his arm LIVE on PPV? You’d laugh your head off and say “you deserve it.”
I just found it funny that he does all of these moves and bumps and stuff, and injures himself by slapping the mat.
He’d make a lousy referee…

Best Moment – Eve’s finisher
Wow.
That was like a reverse pedigree or something. I was just WOAH!
Everyone says that the Divas matches are getting stale and boring. I tell you what, what I saw at Over The Limit actually impressed me for a Divas match. If the Divas can continue that style of match with that style of finish… I’ll actually start watching them on Raw and Smackdown!
No joke. I swear I will!
Okay maybe some of the time…
My point is that everyone knows that the Divas matches have become very stale and boring. But this match? This was off the chart... for a Divas match that is.
I really hope that they can continue on this trend. I cannot wait for the next PPV defence of Eve’s title.
I can’t believe I just said that!

Worst Moment – Lacey Von Erich making out with a midget
Yes, you did read correctly.
TNA had Lacey Von Erich making out with a midget on TNA Impact after The Beautiful People retained the Knockout Tag Team Championships over Sarita and Taylor Wilde.
What part of “screwing up TV” does TNA not understand?
I don’t want to see Lacey Von Erich making out with a midget. Sure the impact zone sure did. But I was DISGUSTED.
A) It’s a complete rip-off of Hornswoggle AND B) Even if I wanted to enjoy it… what did it have to do with ANYTHING that is going to drastically effect TNA in the coming weeks.
I would’ve much rather seen The Beautiful People beat down Sarita and Taylor Wilde for a while with Roxxi making the save and chasing The Beautiful People up the ramp where the midget slaps Lacey hard on the butt. Why? BECAUSE IT WOULD’VE MADE SENSE!!

The Bottle Won't Open Rant.
I don’t really have much of a Rant this week…

Apart from Batista Quitting.

Batista has every right to quit because of one reason.
If you were built up as the “next main event at Wrestlemania for The Undertaker”, what would you do AFTER you had that main event?
Batista, since having his match with Taker at Wrestlemania 23… has had a rivalry with Edge, The Great Khali (5 star quality there), Edge again, Competed against Umaga at Wrestlemania 24, Short Rivalry with Shawn Michaels, got drafted to Raw, competed against CM Punk, won the tag titles, broke Cena’s neck, had a rivalry with Jericho before Cena came back, got injured, came back and helped Triple H lose the title to Orton. Won the title off Orton. Lost it from injury (yeah right). Came back from that injury and moved to Smackdown. Turned heel. Almost killed Rey, faced Undertaker again… twice. Won the WWE Championship off Cena, lost it at WM 26 and then lost the next two PPVs and has now quit.

I just summed up Batista’s last 3 years in 115 words.

Batista continued to give 100% no matter what he did. But in all honesty, Batista’s career started to go downhill the moment WWE went PG.
The main thing that I can remember Batista for is his promos before the Hell in a Cell match against Triple H. He said “Triple H is going to have to KILL ME to take this title from me!”
You can’t say that now. Batista can’t have that same effect anymore. I WANT him to have that effect again. The voice and words to just say, “You got in the way of my World Championship match! There is no definition for the amount of hatred I have for you right now. So now that you have made me VERY PISSED OFF!!... I am going to RIP YOU APART! YOU! ME! SUMMERSLAM! STREET FIGHT!”
It doesn’t have the same pizzaz if you have, “You cost me the World Heavyweight Championship. I’m really angry at you. So now I’m going to rip your head off and we are going to have a match at Summerslam.”

I actually hope that Batista is only taking a break. For some reason, I really want to see Swagger vs. Batista. I don’t know why… I just want to see it.

    Great article as always, and I put in my vote for WEE stars only since I don't get to catch TNA at all and WWE from the clips and such on their site. BUT! I will try to vote more often.

    If you read one of the news reports you'd see that Orton injured his arm/shoulder at a house show, before the over the limit ppv. You should not laugh at him but be happy about what he did. He didn't tell anyone about the injury and aggrevated it at OT. He wants to carry on competing to show his dedication to the sport. Sorry but your article puts him in a bad position. He deserves best performer

    WHY DIDN'T HE TELL ANYONE THAT HE HAD A SHOULDER INJURY?
    and furthermore...
    WHY DID HE BASH IT ON THE MAT WHEN HE KNEW IT COULD POSSIBLY SERIOUSLY INJURE HIM?!
