Chaos Awards: Vol 35

Greetings One and Everyone!

Thank you to everyone who tunes into my show every single week. It makes me happy that I like to make each and every one of you happy and shine with the latest news of the week from wrestling.
I’ve been told that I can’t advertise my site on here anymore. So I can’t tell you that we are always improving and looking for help. And I also can’t tell you that voting has now been transferred to the site instead of the forum. Sorry. I can’t you that stuff.

Onto Business!

Best Match – Evan Bourne & John Cena vs. Edge & Sheamus
Welcome to the big time Bourne!
Finally, Bourne gets his chance to be in the big leagues, which is thoroughly deserved in my opinion. If you want a defining moment of this year so far, it is Evan Bourne stepping up to the plate and knocking out of the park.
I don’t think I’ve seen someone do that this year. Come from the mid card and step up to really perform well with the top guys
Well done Evan!

Worst Match – Rossi Lottalove vs. Roxxi
Why has this chick, who looks like the offspring of Awesome Kong and SoCal Val, got the opportunity to be in TNA AFTER she nearly killed Daffney?
I have to wash out my eyes with sulphuric acid after watching her come down to the ring. She is trying to be one of The Beautiful People… actually I take that back. She is trying to be ALL of The Beautiful People.
If they truly wanted a replacement for Awesome Kong… then get Awesome Kong. Not some girl who looks like she fell off the back of a truck with a whale in her mouth.
Anyway, the match sucked. Roxxi wasn’t at her best and really needed a punch in the face. Her in ring work is still sloppy to say the least. I understand that she needs more matches to get out of her rut… but this was terrible.
I want these two minutes of my life back.

Best Performer – Daniel Bryan
He is best performer for the wrong reason.
He was given less than 7 minutes on camera and he made those 7 minutes count. He has been given the award of Best Technical Wrestler 5 years running AND Most Outstanding Wrestler 4 years running. So why give him SEVEN MINUTES on camera?
Give him 15! Give him 30! He has worked his butt off for the last 10 years to get a contract with the WWE and this is how they use him?

Worst Performer – TNA Creative
I would like to know who came up with the idea and scenario of the opening of this weeks edition of TNA, because they should’ve gotten 2 to 5 years for it.
I’m not saying the performance was bad, far from it actually the performance was pretty good. The thing that got me was the 3 minute time frame between Joe attacking Sting and when Hogan finished talking.
In this time frame, it went from Sting vs. Samoa Joe to Sting & Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe & RVD to a 4 Way Sting vs. Joe vs. Morgan vs. RVD…
Ummm… PICK A DAMN MATCH AND STICK WITH IT! I can understand if this match was changed about 30 minutes into the show because the guys beat the hell out of each other backstage, I think that would’ve had a little more credibility to the situation.
But of course this is TNA, and of course, TNA is all about Hogan. So whatever Hogan wants… Hogan gets.

Best Moment – NXT Finishing up Season 1
WWE, thank you for making a complete mockery of the thought that NXT would be something meaningful.
WWE said that the WINNER of NXT would get a contract to be with World Wrestling Entertainment and a guaranteed title match. So Wade Barrett is going team up with
Jericho and lose his shot at winning the Unified Tag Titles. That’s probably a certainty.
Out of everyone from NXT, the only person who wasn’t already employed with the WWE (in FCW) was Bryan Danielson. Now he’s apparently going to be getting a contract because of his run-ins with Michael Cole and The Miz. By the way, has it seriously taken Michael Cole 14 years to become “tough”?
Anyway, the winner was supposed to get a contract shot. Now I admit that the Bryan/Cole feud has been alright. Not to my liking that much, but alright. But if he wasn’t the winner… why is going to be offered a contract?
If he wasn’t in NXT, he could’ve had some standard matches against CM Punk, John Morrison and Evan Bourne and have Cole bad mouth him… and we would’ve had exactly the same feud that we do now.
This just makes me so angry. It didn’t matter who was the biggest guy on the show. It didn’t matter who was the best technical performer on the show and it didn’t matter who had the best microphone skills on the show.
I’m bad mouthing NXT and the booking of the NXT concept, including the end result because it was CRAP! End of story.

Worst Moment – Undertaker getting injured
It’s amazing how many people actually think that Undertaker is ACTUALLY in a vegetative state.
But as it is a storyline, I’ll treat it like it is.
To be honest, I’m glad that Undertaker isn’t in the match at Fatal 4 Way. I’m not glad that Mysterio is in the match. You have the World Champion along with 3 FORMER world champions with him. You can’t give the Fatal 4 Way spot to an up and comer to see if he can prove himself at the elite level? Give him a new rivalry with a top star to make a name for himself? No… of course not.
You have to get the credibility of the former champions to make the PPV main event stand out.
I will be honest… my expectations of Fatal 4 Way are very low. If they don’t reach them, I wonder how much Summerslam is going to suck?

Chaotic Top 20
Evan Bourne shocks the Chaos Awards and rockets to the top of this weeks voting with a narrow victory over Rob Van Dam.
Orton remains top this week due to some standard voting.
The Womens voting only had two votes this week. One for TNA and the other for WWE. I don’t blame you for not voting. It’s gotten really bad since Mickie and
Tara left.

The Bottle Won't Open Rant.
I got asked a question earlier this week that actually shocked me as it really occurred to me that it was overdue in answering.

”Who is your pick as Wrestler of the Decade?”

This REALLY got me thinking. Who would be worthy enough to be the wrestler of the decade?

Well there are a few telling points so I’ll expand it a little bit just for everyone.
My Top 10 Matches and Wrestlers of the decade, are as follows:

Match #10 – Elimination Chamber Match (Summerslam 2003)
Match #9 – Team 3D vs. MCMG (Genesis 2007)
Match #8 – Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels (Royal Rumble 2004)
Match #7 – LA X-Change vs. xXx (Bound for Glory 2007)
Match #6 – Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit (Wrestlemania 20)
Match #5 – Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock (Wrestlemania 17)
Match #4 – The Dudleys vs. The Hardys vs. Edge & Christian (Summerslam 2000)

Wrestler #10 – Samoa Joe
Wrestler #9 – Randy Orton
Wrestler #8 – Rob Van Dam
Wrestler #7 – AJ Styles
Wrestler #6 – Triple H
Wrestler #5 – Edge
Wrestler #4 – Chris Jericho

Now we are getting to the good stuff!

Match #3 – Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Genesis 2006)
This had the build up of Kurt Angle vs. Tazz but with a LOT more hype around it.
The match up that no one ever thought would take place, Angle vs. Joe. After watching this match, I realise how much Angle changed to become a major force in TNA. It was a brilliant match and personally it is one of my favourites.

Wrestler #3 – Shawn Michaels
He has to be in this top 10. Shawn Michaels was one of the greatest performers ever. It is sad to see him retired but at the same time, we treasure his legacy and ability from all of the matches that he has given us over the years.

Match #2 – Team WWF vs. Team Alliance (Survivor Series 2001)
After this match concluded, WCW and ECW failed to exist in the world of WWE.
This was the one test that was the end of it all. The match could not have gone better. I think it was the best 5 on 5 Survivor Series match in history.
Although now there is TNA, for a brief period, WWE was the only product you could watch.
This match meant so much to the world. But there is only one match that can beat it…

Wrestler #2 – Christian
He went from being a tag team mid-carder in WWE to being the top star in TNA for 3 years. A multiple time NWA World Champion, ECW Champion and never being pinned or being made to submit for 2 years in TNA. That along is worthy enough, but Christian proved after leaving the WWE that he can be the top star that everyone knew he could be.

Match #1 – AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe (TNA Unbreakable 2005)
If you need a match to define wrestling, this is it.
An X-Division title match as the main event of a PPV to come after the World Title match… this match was put on the shoulders of these three and boy did they perform!
There is any match that can really define professional wrestling that has been shown in the last 10 years, I’d like to see it.

Wrestler #1 – Kurt Angle
How can you say anyone else?
In 2000 he became World Champion after beating The Rock and would go a 4 time WWE Champion, a WCW champion and a World Heavyweight Champion. Then he moved on to TNA and where he has become one of the most decorated TNA stars ever. He is also a formidable opponent on the microphone to go with his in ring talent.
Kurt Angle is the best wrestler of the decade.

Thank you for tuning in to another edition of the Chaos Awards.
Once again, I’m not allowed to tell you that I wish you could come over to my site. I can’t say that we are trying to expand into a few extra shows so I hope that we can bring you some extra material.

So Nemesis, you're saying that Wade Barret did not deserve to win NXT? Dude, the concept was great and guess what they did to Daniel Bryan. He went from losing to rookies to spitting in Cena's face. Trust me, he's going to be big in WWE now. Barret will be a World Champion. The Concept of NXT is great and keeps you watching. For the past months, it was much better than RAW until the NXT invasion took place

I'd love to see Bryan in a Stone-Cold-like role, as the badass guy who just ignores authorities... I really think he could bring that, BUT: Stone-Cold and PG? Ain't gonna work :(

No offense, but I can't agree with you having KURT ANGLE as performer of the year. He has mic sub-par mic skills (He isn't as bad as Jeff Hardy) and in my opinion, can't hold his own in a big name match.

Im not saying Kurt is bad, he is a good wrestler, but I don't ever want to see him in the WH Title picture on TNA, go for Global, Or X-Division

    My personal pick, Randy Orton.

People say Randy is overated, people say he has no mic skills, but have you ever thought how his character translates through actions! He made a great heel, he makes a great face, I love the fact he does whatever he feels like without getting hated on, but he can back it up with strength, speed, and the ability to stay fresh in a match.

    Runner Up- AJ Styles

AJ Styles could be called the most athletic superstar of all time, (Opinion) well, then why did he not make spot number 1? BECAUSE RIC FLAIR RUINED HIM! He doesn't have the same confidence or talent he used too. All he really does now are moonsaults and crossbodies (Most common)

I'm not going to go on about this subject.

    Overall, besides the rankings,

    ONE GOOD REPORT.

Thank you for bringing us 35 brilliant reports.

    (Fire works yay!)

(By the way, NXT was rather bad, couldn't bear watching grown men get treated like children.)

A slight room for debate, but naturally with my biasness I think Kurt V Joe should be replaced with AJ Styles V Kurt Angle in the Texas Style last man standing match. In that match you had a former main eventer, turned midcarder, face off against the leader of his former stable...and to have the match end with a DDT off the turnbuckle was nothing short of awesome. But I do agree with you naming Kurt Angle wrestler of the decade. When he was first introduced into the world of pro wrestling, not many fans gave him respect, over time the man went from a nobody to proving his worth completely by putting on some of the best matches in the decade. His spots are dead on, and his ability to play the foolish heel is genious, to that of playing the silly hero. One of my fondest memories of WWE was Kurt Angle coming out in a milk truck pulling a stone cold steve austin on austin!

Thanks, and I enjoyed the read.

okay I'll start from the top

Comment #1: NXT sucked because they could've done exactly the same thing and bring the guys in WITHOUT having to go through that mess that they called a show and it would still have the same result with a lot more people watching Monday Night Raw.

Comment #2: Thank you. I aim to please

Comment #4: It wasn't Performer of the Year it was Wrestler of the DECADE.

Comment #5: I say Kurt vs Joe because it was the dream match up that no one would ever think would happen. It was the first of several meetings between them and I loved it.

Well wrestling is fake anyway, so i judged by mic skill, performance, and ability to carry a feud (and athleticism)

  8. Comment #8

Ah yes, but still Kurt Angle is a good athlete, but I'm sorry to say I cant agree, Randy Orton has been around about a decade, and won these titles...

    WWE WHC (1 time)

World Tag Champ once with Edge

    WWE Champ 5 times.

    WWE Intercontinental once

    2009 Royal rumble

    and Seventeenth Triple Crown Champion

I don't want to sound rude, its a great article, but too opinionated for me, but I plan on checking back.

Wrestling isn't fake bro, it's planed out to not hurt people. If it was fake then no one would ever get hurt. With moved from the turnbuckle those things will actually hurt. You think it hurt Jeff Hardy when he jumped off the top of the bar thingy onto Randy Orton. Or when Shane stood on the Titan Tron and did his elbow through the stage. Those things actually hurt. It's not fake it's planned out.

DUH! It hurts, wrestling is planned out, by fake I mean that the victory is planned.

    1 Time WCW US Champion
1 Time WWE Tag Team Champion (with Benoit)
    1 Time Hardcore Champion
2000 King of the Ring Winner
    Tenth WWE Triple Crown Champion
    Fifth WWE Grand Slam Champion

    and let's continue!

    3 Time TNA World Champion

Yes, but that is in several federations, I don't want to argue, since nobody will get their head out of their behind, bye.
The article was good, thats what I can say, but not about Kurt.
