Chaos Awards Vol. 38

Greetings One and Everyone!   

I apologize for this article being a week late. I have been made the publisher of The Wrestling Game. I have had a big job to do over the last few days and unfortunately didn’t have time to finish the article from last week.
But at least now I can bring it to you directly after I finish making it!

I hope that my performance doesn’t drop as we launch into another edition of the Chaos Awards!

Onto Business!
 
Best Match – Evan Bourne & Randy Orton vs. Edge & Chris Jericho
I can not believe that Raw did something right twice in the same hour.
Evan Bourne’s sell of that RKO after the match was fantastic. You could see it coming from a mile away but it’s just the way that Evan Bourne sells things that make the match that much sweeter.
Edge walking out on Jericho is a good thing. Because it’s going to be fun to see how they co-exist in the Money in the Bank match. I will go on record though…
I really DON’T want someone to win Money in the Bank on either brand that has already won a World Title previously.
I don’t want to eat boiled radiators. I don’t want to turn a shipping container into a piece of paper. I just want someone NEW to be World Champion that DESERVES IT.
That apparently is WAY too much to ask.

Worst Match – John Morrison vs. Ted DiBiase
What the hell was the point of this? To push Morrison further down the ladder or to make Ted DiBiase look like a giant tool? Either way… job succeeded.
Morrison is brilliant. What did he do? Punch Stephanie?
Tell Triple H that his ass looked too big for his wedding dress?
Either way he was probably right, but he deserves the push that he has been earning. His push can be altered in one moment by one man. Rey Mysterio.
I can hear some of you know… “Nem, that’s a load of bull.”
Think about it. Mysterio was IC Champion and had to drop the belt because he was getting suspended. Morrison won the belt. Then jobbed to The Miz and Drew McIntyre for the next 4 months and is STILL jobbing.
What more punishment does Morrison have to go through?

Best Performer – Alex Shelley

It’s the little things…
Pulling off a spectacular move, making it stick in your mind until the end of the night or just making a funny public service announcement… either way, it’s the little things.
Shelley and Sabin have been riding the TNA Tag Team wave for the past 4 years. Every time they have come close to winning the Tag Team gold but it always seems just out of their reach.
Sometimes you just have to go with your heart, rather than your gut.
I’m praying and praying and praying that TNA give the Motor City Machine Guns the TNA World Tag Team Championships. It’s been 4 years coming and they damn well deserve it.
 
Worst Performer – You know what… it’s the usual. TNA Creative.
What bloody good is TNA doing having AJ Styles and Kazarian have a tag team match at Victory Road? They have been beating the living snot out of each other for the past few weeks and getting in each others faces. I don’t care who they face at the PPV. I hope that they lose, AJ turns face, Kaz gets elevated a bit and maybe they can both breathe some life back into the crumbling X Division.
What good is going to come of this match? Honestly. Will they win and join Ric Flair’s “fortune”?
To be brutally honest, I think that the tag team that they are facing at Victory Road is Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. If it isn’t them, it’s Gen Me. Someone please tell me otherwise, cause if it’s anyone else, I frankly couldn’t care less.

Best Moment – Cena and Barrett confrontation
I know what you are all thinking… Actually, I don’t. Tell me what you are thinking.
Uh huh. Yep. Oh, I see. Yep.
Okay. I don’t agree with whatever you are saying.
Admittedly, I did like the Teddy Long/Drew McIntyre segment better, but in all honestly… the Cena/NXT Rookies ending to Raw was just that one thing that has made me open my eyes and think “Okay. Now it’s game time.”
I do have one bad problem with the situation.
It’s a 7 on 1 match… 6 days before Money in the Bank.
6 days…
So this (assuming that Cena gets his face pummelled in) is going to mean that Cena is not going to recapture the WWE Championship.
Thanks for ruining the PPV. I would’ve rather have seen Cena in a 7 on 1 match the week AFTER MITB because he requests it because they ran in and cost him the title.
So at Summerslam, it could be Cena vs. Barrett or something different.

Worst Moment – Serena asking Punk for forgiveness
Where the blue hell are they going with this? Is it a show down between Gallows and Punk?
Someone please enlighten me on the situation… because this is bleeding awful. If I was Punk, I would’ve beaten the crap out of her and shaved her already shaven head to prove that she was worthy. Because… that’s the part of the storyline!
”Get your head shaved and join CM Punk! Get your head shaved here! Free head shave!”
Seriously, I’m wondering what is happening but it doesn’t look good for SES. I would’ve hoped that these guys would expand into a true life stable but… the only things that they have really done as a team is beat down people and had ONE, that’s right, ONE shot at the Unified Tag Team Championships.
The worst thing of all? Serena can actually wrestle. Serena is a FCW Womens Champion… I would rather get her away from SES rather than keep her in.

Okay I’m going off a little here but…
Best Moment of the year:
ED FERRARA IS GONE FROM TNA!!
DIXIE CARTER DID SOMETHING RIGHT!!
At least now I know that TNA (after Victory Road) can move in a better direction! Vince Russo is taking time off, Ed is gone. Thank heavens!
Let’s cross our fingers and hope that the storylines will be better than usual and hopefully reflect the in ring talent that they have.

Chaotic Top 20
We are halfway through the year and it is still getting close at the top! Although with the way people are voting… the top 4 will remain the same come the end of the year.
AJ Styles retakes the lead from Randy Orton and Edge closes the gap to Mr. Anderson.

** Even though these people are not working with their companies anymore, I shall still continue to put them up because they earned that spot in their tenure of their company in 2010.

The Bottle Won't Open Rant.
Can I just ask something to all of the new age wrestling fans?
Do you honestly hate John Cena because he’s been WWE Champion for the longest time? Or do you just like Randy Orton because Cena is always in the Main Event picture? WHY DO YOU HATE CENA?!

I have answered this question about six times and apparently I can never get it right. If I say that they hate him because he’s in the main event picture, they say “No, it’s because he’s WWE Champion all the time”. If I say that they hate him because he’s champion all the time, they say “No, it’s because he’s the poster boy.” If you can’t make up your minds, then I will make it up for you!

If you hate John Cena… say it and give me a good enough reason! Don’t just say it and expect me to believe it. If you hate Cena, FINE! I get it. You hate Cena. But there are two reasons to why people hate Cena that I’ve recently come across that really get underneath my skin so much that I would rather eat my name into solid cement using my teeth than hear them again.

”I hate John Cena because I like Randy Orton.”
”I hate John Cena because I like TNA.”

Look, I might not like one wrestler. I might not like a whole bunch of wrestlers. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t respect them for the craft that they have perfected. Professional wrestlers will always have my respect no matter what wrestling promotion they work for because they do something that I will never be able to do… and that is step into the ring.

So to all of you “Cena Haters” out there… actually realise what you are saying.
You don’t like Cena because he has 5 moves of doom… EVERY wrestler has 5 moves of doom but they might have 40 moves in their move set… its only the 5 that you wish to comment on.
He’s been Champion for so long… GOOD ON HIM! That means that the company wants to put the entire weight of their merchandise sales on Cena… guess what? IT’S WORKED FOR 5 YEARS! Furthermore, I bet that all or most of you like Cena back in 2003-2005 when he was in the mid card and just branching out into Main Event status, doing his heel rap gimmick.
Apparently he’s always in the main event picture… well duh. Triple H has always remained in that spot even when he wasn’t champion or #1 contender. Because over the last 10 years, he’s been WWE Champion, IC Champion, in DX, out of DX, Tag Team Champion, then he got injured came back and won the Royal Rumble. Held a several major championships over the next 3 years… I’m not even halfway through 2005, he’s done all of this and never left the spotlight.
If we see WWE, we see Cena, Orton, HHH, Taker… these are the guys who have remained at the top for so long and yet you only pick ONE of those guys to target.

If I hear or see another 12 year old wearing a Randy Orton t-shirt say “Cena sucks because I don’t like him!” then their parents better start preparing for a funeral.

   Nem, cena dose not suck. And its not him i dont like. Its wwe management for giving him what people like Benjormen or Morrison should have. They can wrestle. Cena literaly only know under 10 moves. But, he dose know no to win the crowd. 2003- 2007 he was ok, he was a new champion or a mid carder. But now i beleave he is over rated. Just give him a good story line with out a title!

   I dont like Cena. I know he is a great wrestler, He is amazingly athletic and all. I dont lke him because of his rapper gimmick. It is embarrasing. I find it annoying that his gimmick has been going on for too long. The Cena i liked was the debut Cena where he beat Kurt Angle. It was awesome, No "Rap intro", No "You cant see me", Nothing. Just great wrestling.
