Chaos Awards Vol. 40

(Note: This was written to reflect the previous 2 weeks of wrestling programming)

Greetings One and Everyone!

Welcome ladies and gentleman to Volume 40 of the Chaos Awards!

I apologize for my lack of writing over the past few weeks. I’ve been having some computer problems, personal issues but mostly stress from my underlings… *kicks underlings* yeah you know who you are!

Anyway, let’s get this party rolling over the past few weeks of WWE and TNA!

Onto business!

Best Match – Randy Orton vs. The Miz (Raw)
Now Randy says that The Miz took this RKO incorrectly and botched it. I’ve seen it from 3 different angles and I can’t see anything wrong with it apart from the fact that Miz had to adjust himself in mid air because he was running at the time.
Apart from that, I loved this match, because The Miz actually looked the part. He is slowly moving his way into the Main Event role. The Miz is awesome. Really… he is.
I’m also going to address something that has been brought to my attention from several dozen readers.
Apparently it is said that Randy Orton got Mr. Kennedy fired. We know this to be true… BUT people have been saying and asking who I support.
My answer is simple. Why should I get involved and have an opinion on this?
I can say that Randy got Kennedy fired because Randy wanted him gone.
I can say that Kennedy got himself fired over his actions backstage.
Either way, BOTH guys are in the wrong. Orton complained about Kennedy and got him fired. I can see why he did that and I can see why he said what he said about Kennedy in the terms of getting him fired. Kennedy complained about Orton and STILL complains about Orton to this day. If Kennedy didn’t want to get fired, maybe he should have taken a step back and taken a look at what he did wrong and what he didn’t listen to. Orton calls Kennedy a child, Kennedy calls Orton a liar. I repeat, either way, BOTH guys are in the wrong.
If you want to take a side, that is your choice. I can merely point out that it has nothing to do with me and I will STILL respect both guys for what they do in the ring for their respective companies.

Worst Match – The Entire Hardcore Justice PPV
I’m putting it here because of personal reasons.
I didn’t see the PPV, I truly don’t care what show they put on. It is in here for 3 reasons.
1) All of the talent is used as a “one night only” type basis. Like One Night Stand 2005.
2) The TNA World Title wasn’t on the line in the main event.
3) They didn’t announce the full card prior to the PPV going to air because the talent wasn’t confirmed.
Now if you want to increase your PPV buy rates… you have to give me an incentive to buy the PPV. I LOVE the old ECW. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to buy the PPV… but after what Vince did to ECW, I wanted to know what I was in for and how bad of a train wreck it is going to be.
Now there are so many things that I could say that was wrong about Hardcore Justice. But I will say this… from what I’ve heard on the night, they did do ECW proud.
It’s just too late for me to even remotely give a toss.

Best Performer – Dolph Ziggler
YES YES YES!!
FINALLY! About a year too late for him. Seriously, I’ve been waiting for this moment. Nick Nemeth should’ve become champion at Breaking Point last year. Now he’s finally got the Intercontinental Championship, a championship that I think he truly deserves.
Marking out is one of my many excellent characteristics.
Now, here is my question to the viewers. Who will take it off him?
Dolph Ziggler has finally got the IC title. They won’t give it back to Kofi or Drew. They won’t put it on Swagger after his World Title run.
Here is an idea. What about Joey Mercury? Give the Straight Edge Society its first bit of gold for 2010 and in the process, cement a hard working wrestler such as Mercury. And when I say hard working, I mean Ladder to the Face working.
 
Worst Performer – Matt Striker
I don’t care for his witty comments. I don’t care that thinks he knows everything about the WWE from the last 50 years. I don’t care that he has Vince McMahon in his ear for every minute of Raw. Matt Striker has been annoying me ever since he got on commentary.
I’m going to deny, he’s good. But the stuff that he says just rattles my brain. It’s like he doesn’t want to educate the kids on what ACTUALLY HAPPENED in the history of the WWE.
They continue to say that Christian has never won a World Title... so his 2 ECW Championship reigns mean nothing.
Kane was apparently the disfigured brother of The Undertaker. I never knew that Kane looked disfigured. Oh and if everyone didn’t know, Kane has never been a Champion in the WWE. Well done Striker. His Hardcore title, IC title, Tag Titles and WWE Championship reigns never happened then?
And before you throw your little sibling off the nearest overpass saying “Striker said World Champion!” No he didn’t. He clearly says “Never been A CHAMPION” and doesn’t correct himself.
Oh and speaking of commentators doing stupid crap, if there is ONE MORE email from the GM on Monday Night Raw and Michael Cole stands up and says “I’m sorry everyone I have an email…” HOW ABOUT YOU JUST CHECK THE DAMN EMAIL!?!? STOP PISSING ME OFF WITH YOUR STUPID FACE!! AND GET OFF NXT!!!
*Nemesis had to be sedated at this point*

Best Moment – Edge and Jericho teaming back together
I will admit, I’m actually happy about this. I hope that they can at least have a shot at recapturing the Unified Tag Team Championships.
They would’ve easily been the most hated tag team and kept the titles until losing them to DX. But it would’ve lead to a brilliant phase in tag team wrestling. Unfortunately due to Edge’s injury… that never happened. Now that they are back together… things could be limitless for them. Especially with Jericho’s contract up in a couple of months and hints of retirement looming over his head… maybe this is the way for Jericho to go out.
Anyway, this is what the WWE needs. Better Tag Teams.
All there is now on Raw is Rated R2J, Usos, Hart Dynasty, (groan) Kozlov & Santino and technically Nexus.

Worst Moment – Bret Hart on Team Raw
*screams* BAH! WHY?!
Honestly, he had the worst match at Wrestlemania. One of the worst matches I’ve seen in a long long time. I thought that Hart vs. McMahon was going to be like McMahon vs. Hogan. Nope, I was wrong.
Anyway, I would much rather have Doink The Clown on Team Raw. Or Brooklyn Brawler… or Zack Ryder… or (dare I even mention him) Abraham Washington purely and simply because I’d like Nexus to shut him up.
Having Bret Hart on Team Raw is like a disabled kid walking into oncoming traffic… you want to look away, but you just want to see how bad its going to be. Sorry if I offended anyone…

The Bottle Won't Open Rant
Can someone please tell me how this Summerslam isn’t going to COMPLETELY SUCK?!
Honestly… I’m trying to find one shred of evidence to tell me that this years Summerslam is going to be better than last years. And I have last years, and it isn’t that good.
Everyone remember Cena vs. Orton that was restarted 4 times? Yes… I bet you do.

Look, there are 4 matches announced now. There will be at least another two or three before the week is out. If there isn’t, it’s Royal Rumble again… and THAT was a good PPV wasn’t it?
But can someone please tell me how this Summerslam isn’t going to suck?
Rey Mysterio vs. Kane for the World Title… if Kane drops this, I’ll scream.
Orton vs. Sheamus for the WWE Title… yay, a rematch from the Rumble.
Big Show vs. SES – Handicap Match. Ummm… No Comment
Team Nexus vs. Team Raw… I don’t care.
I called this 2 weeks ago on my radio show. Team Raw will crumble from the inside and Nexus will get over. What happened?

Now, here is the idea… and tell me if I’m wrong…
Someone from Team Raw will get “injured” and have to sit out OR Jericho and Edge stay out of Team Raw. Either way, I can almost assure everyone that one of two things will happen. Vince McMahon will come back after his beating at the hands of Nexus a few weeks back and join Team Raw OR the new GM will make his presence known.
Massive mayhem ensues in the multi man clusterfest tag match with Cena making Barrett tap out to the STF.

Now I know that if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I’ll admit it. But on my radio program, my other co-hosts have NO IDEA who will replace Edge and Jericho. I don’t either. I’m only taking a stab at Vince because he’s the logical choice. Well that or Bourne… but Bourne is a jobber again.

So I would like to get your opinions on what Summerslam might be like this year, leave a comment or if you know of my website, leave me a message there. I think its going to be a smorgasbord of fail. It would be sad to see Summerslam outdone by an ECW PPV (even though I love ECW with a passion) but I think that is the path that the WWE is beginning to go down.

   Finally, someone other than TNA Creative and WWE Creative is the worst performer! Thank you for mentioning how AJ Styles is the top ranked wrestler of the year by PWI. Oh wait. *reads article again*
   NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THE AWESOMENESS OF STYLES!! I feel you should have talked about what's going on in TNA. Samoa Joe losing to RVD and getting suspended. How they're making Anderson (Kennedy), Jeff Hardy and RVD seem like wrestling gods who can defeat anyone and everyone in under 10 minutes. Seriously, they've made all the TNA Originals seem underrated. Would you like to rant about this? Why am I suggesting something for you to rant about? Anyways, I enjoy reading your articles, I've been reading since your 12th article, and I'm glad you've gotten to 40. May you get to 100 before I quit watching wrestling because of all the crapiness. Thank You.

   This Sucks...Sorry but cmon u only see the things that suck... I mean..The Rock promised a return in this year's summer so what about..The Rock taking Khali's place and how about Undertaker returning and scaring Kane...then Mysterio defeats Kane...
