Helms Street: NXT Season 1 Finale!

Welcome one and all. My name is *looks up to the sky.* Mr.Helms.
I‘m here to bring you a review of the FINAL... Yes the final NXT show, if you ask me for my opinion on the whole NXT concept I would reply by saying..Whose Idea was it to get rid of ECW and replace it with this?
Oh well, nobody cares for my opinion... So here it is the final NXT review.

We start of with a clip of this past season showing all the mentors and rookies. We then see the process of elimination. We go into the arena where Matt striker stands in the middle of the ring. All the eliminated rookies sit at ringside as Striker announces the pros and they walk on stage. Barret, Otunga and Gabriel all walk to the ring after the pros do. Matt striker announces that their will be TWO pros polls in one night ten Matt mentions that there will be triple threat match in which the rookies have ONE last chance to win NXT. So all three rookies look to each other as the camera quickly goes to Josh Mathews and Michael Cole. They announce next week season two of NXT will start *Looks up to the heavens* Kill me...Kill me now. Never the less, we will get to meat the new rookies and pros throughout the show. This brings us two the first pairing, a wrestler for some reasons reminds me of Samoa Joe called Husky Harris. He talks as a video is played of him. For those who care Husky will team up with Cody Rhodes. Fans have mixed reactions for Husky. Jericho, Hardy and The truth walk to the ring as we go to a commercial break.

*Commercial breaks are actually good, they give me time to run across the road and get some ice cream... and again... and again.*

We return to John Morrison saying he is a Pro for next season and he will team with a Big tree! *That would be interesting to see.* unfortunate for my own pleasure a Video is played of Morrison’s rookie and that rookie name is... *Drum rolls* Eli Cottonwood.

Wade Barret vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Otunga

The match kicks off and starts at a high pace, each man gets a quick advantage but Barret gets thrown out leaving Justin and Otunga to battle it out for a while. Otunga gets a pin but Barret breaks up and then they both brawl for a bit. Otunga goes for a suplex on Barret by Justin jumps over the ropes and does a roll up that gets two. Barret rolls out the ring and Gabriel gets thrown out by Otunga, quickly though Otunga rolls Justin back in and carries on dominating. Otunga dominates for most of the match. Barret however gets a quick jaw breaker across the ropes that knocks Otunga down near the corner *Looks at Justin and starts yelling GET UP* Barret starts climbing in the ring but Justin kicks him off, goes up top and BAM! 450 splash on Otunga
...1...2... NO Barret pulls Gabriel out and pins Otunga
...1...2...3
Barret wins the triple threat match!

*Go to a commercial break...again. They should stop having breaks as I tend to eat when I’m bored.*

We return to see Barret attacking Gabriel, apparently this is a match. Barret starts well as he puts on a few submissions, some pounding and hits. All of a sudden Gabriel starts attacking back. The match starts evening out as Jericho continues to yell at Josh and Michael. Gabriel however gets caught for Barret’s finisher but Justin rolls up getting a two count. As both men stumble to their feet Justin trips Barret backwards and does a 45...NO, Barret gets his knees up and wait...wait...a small package by Barret.
...1...2...3
Barret wins and beats Justin.

As Barret and Jericho celebrate, we see the other pros talking and huddling as we get set for the first elimination. We go to the back and see MVP. He announces he is another pro and he announces his rookie as...  Percy Watson!

*We go to a quick commercial break. Right...quick -_-*

Woo woo woo. It’s Zak Ryder time to announce he is a Pro next season. Every time I see Ryder I start signing “Oh Radio” so he talks for a bit but does anyone listen to him? Really? Oh God I’m sounding like The Miz... Ryder partner is Titus O’Neil!!!

We get back to the show and all 3 remaining rookies stand in the ring, Striker asks the eliminated rookies who should be eliminated. The choices varies from Justin right down to ... Tarver, Michael Tarver. As he said again he should be eliminated. So our attention goes back to the superstars. Here is the pro polls, remember this is the first of two...

1st) Wade Barret
2nd) David Otunga
3rd) Justin Gabriel

Justin has been eliminated. Gabriel says he will keep coming back until he makes it. He walks up the ramp to Matt hardy. Matt says Gabriel is a lot like him, a has been... no sorry he said neither man will die. Really, I am sorry, I can’t stand Matt in my view he is over rated. With that said, Justin walks off and Michael McCool and Layla appear on screen and announce their also pros for next season and that they will be mentoring...  Kaval.
It is also announced Mark Henry will mentor Lucky Cannon. *Starts laughing in his chair.* Great name Lucky... great name.

Back to business. In the ring Matt says to Barret and Otunga that they have 60 seconds each to tell the other why they should be the next breakout star of WWE. Otunga starts and says Barret’s nose is as crooked as Jericho. He starts making remarks about how he is more handsome and better looking than Barret is. Barret takes the microphone and says he has a physic like that because he is a fighter. He says Otunga is a body builder which is great if he only knew how to use it. Matt stops them and says to the pros they have done what they can to sway your choices. As he says that the Pros huddle and we go to a break.

*I blink and guess what... We still have adverts. After 5 minutes we return with me with a Pepsi bottle in hand... with no pepsi.*

BOOM BOOM BOOM! Its Kofi Kingston man and guess what, he will be a mentor next season of NXT. He will mentor I believe to be the son of Mr. perfect... His name is Michael McGillicutty. And he took my eye, he promised to bring back Ruthless aggression!

We go to the ring where Otunga and Barret stand. For some reason Miz starts talking and announces that he will be back for season 2 as he will mentor... Alex Riley!

Fans start booing as Michael Cole starts cheering, to my amazement Michael still hasn’t been fired. The biggest waste of space in WWE is Michael Cole. Matt Striker is in the ring and he thanks the pros for their votes as they go to announce the winner of NXT season 1. Someone starts talking...Wha...Wha it’s...Its William Regal, the master of England Lives! I thought he died ages ago. He goes over to Jericho and shakes his hand congratulating him on having the best man in NXT. The truth spins Regal around but Regal says he has seen Truth’s rookie and the only thing h got going for him is that he married well. Punk backs up Regal just to get caught by Truth who says he should be quiet and he has a bag over his head. Regal congratulates Barret on winning...Though he might not win. Regal says since their both Englishmen, their better than all these Americans. Michael Cole reminds the fans that Barret hasn’t won yet. Truth and Regal square up to each other. Regal begs Truth to hit him as he has been bored for 15 weeks. He yells at the other pros to do something to him. Regal goes down the line. He says Jericho knows better, Kermit you know *He pointed to Miz*, Eugene you know better as well *He points to Hardy*, Truth says he has something for Regal and starts dancing in front of him. Everyone is standing apart from Christian and Skunk, Christian tells Regal to sit down because he hasn’t won a fight in a year. Jericho starts talking to Regal and says Barret won’t win because he is English, he will win because he had Jericho as his pro. All the Pros continue to argue, I say all the pros but Skunk has walked off backstage so nearly all the pros argue. Matt Striker tells all the men to please sit down and be quiet as they go to announce the next breakout star... and that man is... *Drum rolls for 5 minutes*

WADE BARRET!

Yes Wade Barret has won NXT. Otunga says he is being punked and that he should be the next breakout star. He says he will be back better than anyone.
As Otunga leans on the ropes in disappointment,  Barret takes the microphone. He says he is the best and that the wind of change will take him to the WWE world Heavyweight title. He shakes Jericho’s hand and the camera fades.

So there you have it folks. For a reminder, these are the WWE rookies and pros in elimination order.

1st)Carlito and Michael Tarver
2nd)Miz and Daniel Bryan
3rd)William Regal and Skip Sheffield
4th)CM Punk and Darren Young
5th)Christian and Heath Slater
6th)Matt hardy and Justin Gabriel
7th)R-truth and David Otunga

8th)Chris Jericho and Wade Barret

Thanks for reading folks.

I didn't see a reason to review the new rookies yet. Once I see them wrestle next week then in my next review I will review them.

Ok, if your going to write an article about something at least understand what was going on. This was NOT a triple threat match. This was a 3-way dance, which is an elimination match. Were you actually listening to the show?
