Inverting Your News!
Welcome, viewers! Inversion here with the third edition of 'Inverting Your News'. Before I start this edition on pushes, I first would like to apologize for not writing an article in such a long time, although, just been too busy. Not to worry, I'm making my return so you'll be getting an article ever week. As stated earlier, I'll be talking about pushes in this edition. The idea first came about watching Wrestlemania XVI, since I hadn't seen a solid WWE show in about four months. Without any further ado, lets get started..
Evan Bourne
Ask any Dragon Gate, Wrestling Society X, Ring of Honor, Chikara or National Wrestling Alliance fan about innovative high flying, and you will get the name Matt Sydal. Before actually debuting on WWE, Evan Bourne was known as Matt Sydal. During Sydal's time in the independent circuit, he done things that people never thought was possible. He completely redefined 'high flying wrestling'. And he wasn't just one of those guys that could only do backflips and such like Rey Mysterio or Jack Evans, he still had the power to be a solid ground wrestler or even adapt to whatever the booker needed. Not to mention his amazing Mic Work. In the wrestling company there are these important things needed to get somewhere. Talent/Ring Work, Popularity and Mic work. Evan Bourne/Matt Sydal has all three of these attributes and he stays out of trouble. So the question is, will WWE keep Matt Sydal as a jobber? Or will WWE just make him prove his loyalty before they give him a push. Because you must think that WWE has given many men a massive push, than these men have left the company out of nowhere such as Bobby Lashley, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, well the list really goes on and on. And if you think currently Evan Bourne is amazing, check out some of his work as Matt Sydal, I mean he used to have the Cyclorama as his finisher, now if you think that sounds crazy, wait until you see it. From the top turnbuckle, Matt grasped his opponent in a belly to belly suplex hold, than Sydal would do a backflip off the ropes and do a Moonsault Slam in the process. It may sound impossible, but you have to check it out.
Jack Swagger
I'm impressed with WWE's Creative Team. I loved what they did with Jack Swagger. I had three main ideas on what I saw WWE doing, not one single of them were even close. I applaud WWE for mixing it up. Nobody could of seen that coming, based on recent events, well the tradition of the MITB briefcase/contract I was assuming:
a) Edge somehow gets the contract off Swagger in a match, than Edge ends up cashing in the contract to get the World Title and once again being named 'The Ultimate Opportunist'.
b) Jack Swagger cashing in the contract, but being the first one to actually lose the title match, but the match is one that will push Swagger up towards the upper card, eventually later on making Swagger join the Championship race and gaining another title shot down the track in some sort of Four Man or Scramble match to than win the title.
c) Swagger uses the contract when the World Champ has just finished one of the most intense matches we've seeing leading to him winning the title, and having a heel turn.
I like the way WWE got him to win the title, it wasn't after a match, so it wasn't like he is cowardly, but they still did it in a way to push Swagger as a heel, a push everyone has wanted to see, but never expected it.
Christian
Since his return after a major break from WWE, Christian has left a mark on the WWE. Christian is one of those 'one in a million athletes'. Since his WWF days with Edge, while they were the comedy heel team known as Edge & Christian, he showed a charisma that you don't just get out of a cereal box, natural talent. As time passed, Christian just seemed to keep growing until in 2005 he took a break from WWE. During his first run in WWE, Christian had many title runs including several Intercontinental title reigns. While 'Captain Charisma' made his return to WWE on the show ECW, he bagged two ECW Title reigns defeating Jack Swagger, only to eventually be drafted to Smackdown. Now the question is, where do you see or want to see Christian in the future? Do you believe he is ready to hold a World Title again or it is too soon? I believe WWE should give him a minor push, slowly push him, instead of a major one, gradual pushes aren't as risky and tend to work alot better. I say give him another title.. If I were Drew McIntyre, I'd watch out..
Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin in the past has actually gotten a push, although Shelton got suspended. Due to this, WWE only uses Shelton Benjamin as a mid-carder, not as a jobber, since WWE actually wont get Shelton to lose any match, or even 'job' to other competitors, although, he is used alot of the time as a 'card filler'. Not saying that is a bad thing though, somebody has to be one, otherwise we would be full on Main Eventers, etc.. Shelton actually is a perfect 'card filler' for matches such as Ladder matches, Money In The Bank matches, etc.. Those type of matches do not occur often, so they always need big spots, and somebody with the athleticism of Shelton Benjamin that can springboard almost like Rey Mysterio and can practically do anything, even willing to take a nasty bump is perfect for these matches. Although you have to wonder, what if WWE actually pushed him, would he excel, or would be just be one of those 'temporary' champions that you wonder how they ever won the title such as Sheamus. I know many people say he deserves the title, not really where I'm going at. I just remember when people used to hold a title for a solid six to nine months. Right now all the title swapping is actually taking the prestige away from the title. It was like when John Cena held the WWE title for a long time, even though many people 'hated' Cena for never losing, he brought so much more prestige to the title for someone that won than lost it within a month. A title should be something hard to earn, something that if you eventually win it, you keep it. And it wasn't only the WWE Title, really. Look at the World Heavyweight Championship, last year, there was a total of eight different champions, but if you really look back just say to 2006, and you'll see there was only a total of four champions, that is half. It may seem like nothing, but a 50% increase is sure to make a difference.
Vince McMahon
"Wrestling-Radio.com has learned via The Wrestling Observer that the "Mr. McMahon" heel character may be on the verge of being dropped. According to numerous sources, Vince McMahon has been telling people within the WWE that his match with WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart this past Sunday night at WrestleMania XXVI would mark the end of his heel persona. The initial idea is that the incident in Montreal between McMahon and Hart marked the creation of the "Mr. McMahon" character, and that it should only be fitting that events would "come around full circle" with Hart defeating McMahon.
According to these same sources, McMahon has wanted to drop his heel persona for years, with the limo explosion originally planned to mark the end of it, because he felt that he was too old to be a performer on television. Reports are that the McMahon/Hart WrestleMania match was concocted to remove all heel heat from McMahon's on-screen persona and to allow McMahon to, from this point forward, become a babyface."

I've posted this news report, just so those who didn't know about it will understand where I'm coming from with my thoughts about Vince McMahon.
I was a bit upset when I though Vince will never return, but he's damn over with the crowd, won't have much problem turning face. I remember there was a period where RAW's ratings were in a slump and they tried everything to save it but for no avail. Then they brought back Vince McMahon and the ratings went up big time. It's pretty smart though, its similar to as how someone else has said Ted DiBiase, Jr. should end Taker's streak because his father brought him into the WWE. Full circle and all. Although, I really don't see how the Hart-McMahon angle as supposed to take away all of the heel heat from McMahon. Wouldn't it do the opposite? But they'll only have to wait for like 3 months or so, hype Vince McMahon returning for a "Major Announcement" he'll be loved by the crowd all over again. Granted we wouldn't have gotten to see that wonderful twenty minute crippled old man vs. slightly less crippled senior citizen fight, but I think it would've flipped him around much quicker then actively ripping on Bret as often as he could.
Well that is all we have time for today, folks. Stay tuned next week when I mention the retirement of Shawn Michaels and where I see WWE being next year.

WOOOW! Your ideas were pretty good, and had some good points, but Edge&Christian wern't heels. At times they were, but at times they were more popular with the fans than the hardy boys, and 3D.
Please pick your words better.

E & C were heels they just got over with the crowd because they had such a great tag team division back in those days, everyone was loved.
Same thing would be happening to Jericho atm if he wasnt always insulting the crowd, because he is such a great performer
