This is Laz Langston! This is the RAW Report! Let’s do this thing! We start off RAW with a replay of last week’s NeXus beat down on McMahon. Wade apparently is facing the board of directors about the future of The NeXus (as they are officially known now.) First out is our first-ever Irish Born Dubya-Dubya-Eee Champion, Sheamus. He says he’s disgusted about last week’s actions, and says he feels, as champion he should make a statement. Firstly, “THE CHAMP IS HERE!!!!” Really? He says he would have beat Cena regardless of what happened last week. Cena is no longer the #1 contender to the championship after last week’s rematch. He goes on a verbal beat down of Cena and the fans, and that he HATES Cena. So of course Cena comes out. He says he knows he doesn’t have another shot, and asks Sheamus for his help. It’s because of the NeXus Sheamus has the title, and that Sheamus will probably be the next target. Cena calls out the NeXus. Be-duh-ding! The e-mail alert goes off. The GM says he’ll give the NeXus a week to prepare for the punishment. However, if any of them make contact with any other star, they will be terminated. AND if the superstars make the first move, they’ll be suspended. Cena says “thanks a bunch”, the suggests a title match! Be-duh-ding The e-mail goes off again, and that Sheamus will be in action, against Mark Henry.Cena goes on a rampage about the GM. And that the GM needs to e-mail him personally at candypants546@gmail.org…. Really?!!? Be-duh-ding! GM send in that RAW will have a Money In The Bank match. The two MITB matches will be like the normal MITB match at Wrestlemania, except it’s ONLY for that brand’s world champion for a whole year. The participants will be named later tonight. The GM would like to… (Sheamus storms off here)…. Sheamus is up the ramp when suddenly, the cage lowers around the ring… and Cole says the GM says that Sheamus and Cena will face at the Money In The Bank Pay-per-view for the title… inside the steel cage! And somewhere, a hat gets eaten as we go to commercial. 6-person tag; The Hart Dynasty vs. The Usos Out next is the Hart Dynasty for a 6-person tag. Usos come out quickly and start beating down on the Hart Dynasty. Tamina throws Natayla into the ring and hits the big splash on Natayla! Winner: N/C Match Rating: F So the first match doesn’t even happen…. Automatic F. GIVE THESE TWO TEAMS A GOOD MATCH! Backstage is R-Truth, who says the NeXus are acting like animals. He syas keep them here in the WWE zoo, cause he’s the Zoo keeper and THAT’S… the TRUTH! Segment Rating: B- Santino Marella vs Vladimir Kozlov Kozlov is in the ring after the reminder he can (sorta) dance. If Santino wins this match, Kozlov will be his partner! Santino gets a few hits in, but Kozlov hit’s the headbut… and pins Santino for the 1-2-3. Winner: Kozlov Rating: D- Just because it was at least a match…. After the match, Kozlov helps Santino up, just to see him fall again. Regal comes out, shakes Kozlov’s hand, then runs into the ring and beats on Santino. Kozlov runs down the ramp and makes the save. Kozlov then helps Santino out of the ring. Khali is backstage, and says the something, but the manager says that Khali said that khali “was a big stupid giant” and that “if the NeXus showed up, Khali would run like a (censored)” as I’m not sure what that word is in Indian…. Khali looks confused as we go to the break. Segment Rating: B- Nice little segment, but what the heck is that about Singh? The Big 8 Rob Zombie comes out, to mark the one-year of Special Guest hosts. He’s here to tell us the 8 participants in the Money in the Bank match. They are; Randy Orton, The Miz, R-Truth, Chris Jericho, Evan Bourne, Ted DiBiase, Jr., John Morrison, …and that guy Edge. Edge comes on the screen and says he hasn’t seen Zombie since Edge dropped his song. Zombie says HE dumped Edge. Edge says it doesn’t matter… what matters is he won the first MITB ladder match, and his first title off of it. Then we see a promo of the first match at WM 21, and the cash in at Elimination Chamber, 2006. We cut back to Edge, who says he’s going to win the match, and make history again by showing how “twisted” he is. Be-duh-ding! Main event set. Edge-Miz-DiBiase-Jericho vs. Bourne-Morrison-Truth-Orton in a 8-man tag team “mega match”. Segment Rating: C Why so low? Because it took too long and it was the ONLY appearance by the only guest host I’ve actually wanted to see…. Mark Henry vs Sheamus …and we may just have an actual match here. Sheamus is in the ring already, and out comes Henry with Lucky Cannon. Sheamus takes control early, and gets some close 2-counts. Henry finally gets some momentum going. Henry throws Sheamus into the ring with ease… btu Sheamus hits the bicycle big boot for the 1-2-3. Winner: Sheamus Rating: B Guess I was wrong…. Backstage, the NeXus (minus Barrett) point out that they can’t touch the superstars, and the superstars can’t touch them… then Skip Sheffeild takes out a nearby worker, and the NeXus laugh around Josh Matthews. Segment Rating: C RAW Rating at the top of the hour: C- … and ALMOST a D+. It’s been a short few matches here, and lots of talking in the first hour. Hopefully the second hour can show me something big. The main-evnt has potential, though. Jerry is in the ring to promote the new Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat DVD. Next out comes The Dragon. Jerry interviews Ricky, but first, some guys backstage come out; Arn Anderson, Micheal PS Hayes, Mike Rotundo, and Dean Malenko. Jerry passes the mic around and the guys say a few words to Steamboat. Out come the NeXus… of course. They make they’re way down the ramp to the legends. They start teaseing like they’re going to enter the ring…. Of course, the NeXus quickly get the upper hand, taking out three guys by dragging them out of the ring. Once they get the 7-3 advanatge on Ricky, The King, and Hayes, they charge into the ring and beat them all down, leaving Steamboat last. Then, like Cena and Vince before him, he gets over powered by the young rookies (but goes down fighting) and gets hit with all the finishers again. Segment Rating: C Ok… the segment was too long and did too little. The NeXus thing is becoming redundant and I hate that it is. What was so promising has become mundane. WWE, turn it around, and quick! We come back as Ricky is being carted away and some of the other guys are being helped to the back, while clips of what just happened play. Then right back to commercial. Alicia Fox and Maryse vs. Eve Torres and Gail Kim Didn’t we JUST see this?!!? It goes the same as the match two weeks ago; the heel team takes a big lead, Eve gets a tag to Gail and Gail takes control. After a little chaos, Fox hits her Leg Lariat on Kim for the 1-2-3. Winner: Alicia Fox and Maryse Rating: D- Same match; different outcome. And it wasn’t even HALF as good as the original. Raw rating so far: D+ The main event needs to be great, and currently there is 25-35 minutes for it. It’s the only thing that will save the night. Main event build up 1. NeXus can’t attack anybody in this match. 2. Of the 8 men, two of them have been main-eventers in the last month. 3. All eight men are in the MITB match. Main event: So, for some reason, a ladder is in the ring, probably to remind us these guys are in the Money in the bank match for RAW. Each man comes out (one at a time) on team heel (DiBiase is still my hero), and then team face comes out to shorter versions of their entrances. We cut to commercial. Ok, why not all come out at once?!!? More action, less entrances! We come back and the bell rings. DiBiase and Morrison start off. DiBiase starts off strong, but Morrison gets thing going his way. Morrison tags in Truth who continues the momentum. Truth tags in Bourne, who hits a running senton off the apron to the floor. Bourne goes after DiBiase for a while. diBiase gets out of dodge and tags in Miz. Bourne keeps it high flying on Miz, even getting a two count. Miz gets out of the way and DiBiase gets a cheap shot in on Bourne. Miz tags in Jericho, who throws Bourne out of the ring, and Edge gets a quick kick in. Jericho then tags in the Miz who keeps the punishment in on Bourne. Bourne kicks out of a suplex, and gets the tag to Morrison, who takes Miz to school! DiBiase pulls Miz out of the way os Starship Pain, but Morrison flys over the top to take them both out. Edge comes from nowhere and hits Morrison down as we go to commercial. We come back to Jericho choking out Morrison on the ropes (not using them though). During the break, Jericho hits Morrison with a ladder while the ref wasn’t looking. A little back and forth between Morrison and Jericho, before Jericho brings in Edge. Edge continues working on Morrison, then tags in DiBiase who keeps it going. Team Heel is doing a good job keeping Morrison away from his corner. Morriosn finally battles back, but runs right into a powerslam. DiBiase brings in Edge… edge tries the spear.. and Morrison moves out of the way! Edge tries to keep Morrison back.. but Morrison hits an enziguri out of no where on Edge. Edge tags Jericho, and Morrison gets Bourne! Bourne comes in fast and takes control. Bourne goes to the top, but Jericho stops him. Jericho goes for the superplex, but Bourne knees him off and goes for Shooting Star Press, but Jericho moves and hits the Codebreaker. Jericho tags in DiBiase and Bourne gets Orton, who hits the RKO for the win! Match rating: B Everyone saw almost equal action, except Orton who got the finish. It’s hard to give 8 men spots in match… so we spill over to the aftermatch. Edge comes in and knocks down Orton, and goes after Truth, hitting him with the ladder. Morrison and Bourne double-kick the ladder into Edge, then Bourne goes over the ropes and hits Jericho on the outside. Miz comes up from behind and hits the Skullcrushing Finale on Morrison. Miz sets up the ladder and climbs to the top…until Orton pushes the ladder over and Miz falls into the ropes! Orton then climbs the ladder, and gets the briefcase to close out RAW. Segment rating: B Raw Rating: C+ Lowest rating I’ve given since doing this gig, I think. But know it’s for good reasons. There were too many segments and they were WAY to long. I’m all for a good storyline, but nonw of the segments really enhanced a story. This si the second week WWE has done this. My main complaint is the NeXus. What for the last couple of weeks has saved, made, or even WAS the whole show to me has now become quickly redundant. Let’s have a true showdown here, no more run ins. We know that you’re overpowering, now what? Enhance this! This has been Lethal Injection #7!
