Welcome to the Lockdown Review! The one night a year where every match is contested in a steel cage! - The show opens with a promo promoting the steel cage where there keep showing shots of the steel cage with flames coming from the top. The cage keeps repeating the words "fear me" in a demonic voice until the intense promo comes to an end. The camera pans to the announce table and they have a huge announcement. Due to the volcano eruption in Europe, Doug Williams is unable to make it to Lockdown. So there will be a fatal four way escape match to see who joins Shannon Moore and Kazarian to see who claims the now vacant X-Division title. Also Syxx-Pac hasnt shown up so Scott Hall either finds a partner or its a handicap match. Bubba The Love Sponge perhaps? - RVD vs James Storm- Lethal Lockdown Advantage The first entrance of the night is no other than that of RVD... the whole FN show! Not a very typical entrance song but damn its catchy. He is followed by the less cathy James Storm and the match starts before James Storm even gets in the cage. RVD dropkicks the steel cage door into James Storm which drops him instantly. The battle then continues outside the ring for a while. The two finally get back into the ring and the bell officially rings to start the match. By this time RVD is already busted wide open but he takes control of the match anyways. The turning point in the match is a brutal neckbreaker by James Storm that about takes RVD's head right off his shoulders. Although he is taking a beating RVD still finds a way kick out of a three count only to take more of a beating. The two even out the match and start exchanging multiple punches in the middle of the ring. RVD slams James Storm's face into the cage wall and follows it up by a moonsault but Storm kicks out! James Storm matches it by spitting beer in RVD's face and hitting him with a thunderous DDT but its not enough. RVD finally hits the 5-star frogsplash and then the match comes to an end giving Team Hogan the advantage. Rob Van Dam aka the whole FN show and James Storm set a good pace for Lockdown. Winner: Rob Van Dam Match Rating: 7/10 - Hulk Hogan cuts a promo saying that hitting Abyss with a car is to far and for it he plans on dominating Lethal Lockdown. Hogan then agrees that if Team Flair destroys Team Hogan then there is nothing left and he will personally walk away from TNA. - Brian Kendrick vs Homicide vs Chris Sabin vs Alex Shelley- Escape Match Where Winner Fills Vacant Spot In The X-Division Championship The match starts and goes on for a while in pure chaos. I cant really tell whats going on until The Motor City Machine Guns take clear cut control. They even draw blood on Brian Kendrick but the tag team quickly loses control. Homicide and Brian Kendrick work together and take out the Motor City Machine Guns with a punch and a gringo killer. Brian Kendrick then turns his back on Homicide for one second and Homicide turns on him by rapidly climbing the cage. Kendrick follows close behind him but there is no catching Homicide. Homicide drops to the floor and will be taking the spot of Doug Williams in the X-Division Championship. Winner: Homicide Match Rating: 5.5/10 - Kevin Nash vs Eric Young This match is about pure vengeance because both of these men were both on the same page when Kevin Nash turned on Eric Young. Not only did Kevin Nash turn on Young but he joined the very stable that the two were focused on destroying. As soon as the bell rings you can tell Eric Young is out for revenge and he pulls a few high-flying attacks to surprise Kevin Nash. Nash isnt, going to let it get to him though so he uses his size to utilize Young's attack. Kevin Nash keeps control from then on and delivers a big boot that splits Eric Young wide open and eventually leads to a jacknife powerbomb. Eric Young is knocked out so Kevin Nash takes a moment on the microphone. He says that Scott Hall isnt coming out without a partner as long as he has a breath so Kevin Nash will be his partner. Winner: Kevin Nash Match Rating: 6/10 - Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky (c) vs Angelina Love (c) & Tara- TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles & TNA Knockouts Championship The Beautiful People walk away with all the belts after interference by "Lacey Bon Eric"? After the match Angelina Love helps Tara to her feet but ends up getting slammed into the cage by Tara. (Note: I didnt watch this match so it doesnt qualify for any of the awards at the end of the article) Winner: Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky Match Rating: none - Ric Flair is shown backstage with the entire Team Flair and says that the young of his team is to much for Team Hogan. Flair claims that it will be Hulk Hogan's last night in TNA. - Homicide vs Shannon Moore vs Kazarian- X-Division Championship Doug Williams is stuck due to travel issues and as a result, he is stripped of his X-Division belt. So now three men will be locked in the cage to decide who will take the vacant title. Shannon Moore and Kazarian prepared for Doug Williams but instead they get Homicide which brings a high-flying style instead of the technical based style that Williams had. Homicide uses that to his advantage and goes to work on both of his opponents until hes the last man standing. Shannon Moore and Kazarian arent about to let him take the match that easy though, so they team up on the top turnbuckle to try getting Homicide in a double suplex. Unfortunately for them Homicide is able to get out of it and turn it into a double cutter that makes him the only man standing once again. The other two are able to work their way back into the match and suddenly it turns into an even match with multiple pin attempts that just dont quite reach three. Eventually Kazarian is taken out so it becomes a one on one type match but Homicide just doesnt take advantage of it so Kazarian gets back into the match and does it with a bang. Kazarian pushes Shannon Moore out of the gringo killer and lifts Homicide on his back right before slamming him head first into the mat. Kazarian picks up the pin and becomes the new X-Division champion! Winner: Kazarian Match Rating: 6/10 - Team 3D vs The Band (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall) I predicted The Band to win this one because they normally have weapons but there a no worries anymore. Brother Ray gets on the microphone and tells the referee to keep the cage door open because the match is now officially a St. Louis street fight where falls count anywhere in the arena. The Band comes out but are met halfway up the entrance ramp by Team 3D and they start pounding on The Band. The fight is taken into the crowd and Team 3D has the clear cut initiative in the match over The Band who is struggling. The Band finally is able to get the match back into the ring and the story changes. The Band drops Brother Ray on the concrete and leave him outside the ring to take a two on one advantage on Brother Devon. Ray gets up but The Band takes turns holding the cage door so he cant get in. He thinks up a strategy though and ends up getting inside the match by using a steel chair shot to loosen the grip of Nash. Team 3D continues there assault while the crowd chants "we want tables" so thats exactly what Team 3D gives them. They grab the table and put Scott Hall through it to end the match. Winner: Team 3D Match Rating: 6/10 - Kurt Angle vs Mr. Anderson- Winner Is First To Walk Out The Cage Door Anderson comes out with the key to the cage and im still waiting for him to accidently say Kennedy into the microphone because I know I would if I were him. Nothing I really need to say about this match except it was about as close as a match comes to becoming a classic. Kurt Angle couldve ended the match early but instead he decided to lock the cage and throw the key out until he was finished with Anderson. The match went out on was bloody bout that Kurt Angle had control over most of the time even after taking multiple mic checks. Kurt Angle suplexed Anderson down to the ring while he was going to escape and hit a moonsault from the top of the cage: Those were the turning points but choking Anderson out with the warrior medal was what got him the win with a cherry on top as he stomped the groin of Anderson on his way out of the cage. Afterwards Angle announced he was taking some time off. Match Rating: 8.5/10 - AJ Styles (c) vs D'Angelo Dinero- TNA World Heavyweight Championship Ric Flair was banned from ringside early on which goes for a good clean match even though I didnt see him climbing the cage or sliding any weapons in. Dinero has all the momentum early with repeated arm drags and clotheslines but Styles finally takes back control by sending Dinero in the cage. The match goes on and Styles hits a paylay out of nowhere but only gets a two count. Styles decides to go high risk to finish off Dinero but ends up hitting the mat on his crossbody from the top of the cage. Dinero rolls him up but still only gets a two count. The "clean" match ended moments later though when Styles decided to steal a pen from the camera man and stab Dinero in the eye. The stab stunned him long enough to Styles to set up his finisher to put the match out and retain. Match Rating: 6.5/10 - Team Hogan (Abyss, Jeff Hardy, RVD, Jeff Jarrett) vs Team Flair (Sting, Beer Money, Desmond Wolfe)- Lethal Lockdown The starts and drags on until the point where the roof of the cage is lowered, locking all the members inside. Not mention that weapons are hanging from the roof and all of a sudden the match picks up quick but still no Jeff Hardy. Team Flair uses the absence to there advantage and starts to dominate the match by laying out Team Hogan all over the ring. Jeff Jarrett finally steps up and uses a trash can to take back control but once they take him out then the destruction by Team Flair continues. Abyss is the next to try to stop this one sided match but ends up getting a beer bottle to the head when trying to put Sting in the tacks. Jeff Hardy's music is played and he comes rushing down the ramp demolishing Beer Money with a kendo stick. With this change in momentum Abyss finally slams Sting onto the tacks. Jeff Hardy takes the match to the top of the cage and ends up jumping off a ladder and smashing James Storm through a table on the roof. Flair then comes into a match but is matched by Hogan. Bischoff comes out and tosses some brass knuckles to Flair but Hogan ends up with them and busts Flair wide open before sending him into the tacks. Abyss hit the black hole slam on Wolfe to end this high intensity main event. - Best Moment: Lethal Lockdown (after weapons are lowered) Worst Moment: AJ Styles wrecking the cleanest match he might have in while without Flair. Best Match: Kurt Angle vs Mr. Anderson Worst Match: Alex Shelley vs Chris Sabin vs Homicide vs Brian Kendrick Biggest Statement: Kurt Angle Worst Statement: Eric Young What The "Fuzz"?: Jeff Hardy landed that table move off the ladder but im about 90% it was supposed to be a swanton bomb before he seemed to trip on the ladder. Lucky fall cause it looked good. Holy "Snikeys"!: Kurt Angle moonsault! Didnt know he had it in him but he about broke his neck... or back. - Thanks for reading. -Tkellionaire

Homicide vs Shannon Moore vs Kazarian- X-Division Championship DID NOT deserve a 6/10. Seriously. That match was better than that. Pretty good article nontheless...

The worst match should be the knockouts match!
I'd easily give angle vs anderson a solid 9.5/10
