Monday night Raw for March 8th 2010

Undertaker's Music Sounds:

The crowd erupts as The Undertaker's entrance music kicks in!!! Taker stops at the top of the entrance and stares into the crowd for a long time, then slowly makes his way down to ringside. Announcers are hyping up the WrestleMania rematch as Taker does his usual intro. 

Taker says last week was symbolic of what HBK's life has become. Ever since he became #17 of the 17-0 streak, Shawn Michaels... Taker gets cut off from an HBK chant. Taker says that Michaels life now has a dark cloud hovering above him, and his obsession will cause him to pay the ultimate price. His storied career. He says what Shawn needs to understand is after WM there will be no tomorrow. For Shawn Michaels there will be no victory. Only the same dark cloud that will hover above his head... For the rest of his life. Taker says it brings him no joy in saying this, but the fact is in 3 weeks, Shawn Michaels career will Rest...In....HBK's Music kicks in!

HBK says you can't finish the line. You haven't earned the right. Not yet. He says you're right. For the last year it has been hanging over my head. But he says he had an epiphany. The reason he interfered at Elimination Chamber is because he had no choice. He had to. But he says Taker interfered in his match last week. When he didn't have to. He says that's when it occurred to him. For the first time ever, inside the cold heart of the Undertaker.... exists fear.

Taker says if I were you, I would chose my next words, very carefully. HBK yells "Fear!" back at him. He says Taker is the only one that knows how close he came last year. He says the threat of his career is just to intimidate him. He says nobody lives a perfect life. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing! And at WM, I'm gonna prove it.

Taker responds by saying he can't tell if he's looking at a man with a ton of confidence, or a man full of pitiful desperation. HBK says he's not desperate. Last year, he would have taken anything for a victory. Not this year. Not with so much on the line. He says he wants to propose: NO COUNT OUT! NO DQ! 

Taker says he can look in Shawn's eyes... See the fire, the passion, the will. He can look into his soul, and see that he honestly thinks he can beat Taker at WM. He says that's what makes him the showstopper! The Main Eventer! Mr. WrestleMania! But not this year, he says in my opinion you may be the greatest to ever step foot in this ring. He says he will unleash the gates of hell. And he will unleash a fury, that no moral man has ever seen! To make sure at WM, your career is over!

HBK says after WM, the dark cloud will come back, but this time, it will be hanging over Taker. Inside the dark cloud will be an image that will haunt him the rest of his life. The image of HBK ending the streak! Huge pop

Kelly Kelly, Eve, Gail Kim vs. Maryse, Alicia Fox, Hailey Burchill

Usual Diva tag match. Ends with Eve doing the armbar submission and Maryse taps out.

Winners: Kelly Kelly, Eve, Gail Kim

Hornswaggle and Criss Angel:

Their conversation is interrupted by the Bella Twins. They ask to be assistance for one night. Angel says he doesn't use twins, but he can do a demonstration. He pulls a thread out of one of their dresses. Then he puts it in his mouth, and pulls it out of his eye!!! He then silences Jillian Halls voice when she tries to sing. 

ShoMiz vs. John Morrison & R-Truth

ShowMiz says a speech practically saying Truth n JoMo aren’t worthy

Truth n Miz starts the match and they start fighting. Double-Team moves now and Show is soon smashed on the steel. Truth n JoMo with double-team-moves and the ref stops the match coz its going way out of hand.

Winners: ShoMiz

Cena says he’s speechless coz Batista was correct then they ask if Cena thinks Batista will interfere and he says “I’m counting on it!”

Backstage with Criss Angel:

Bourne is facing Regal for MITB-Qualifying match. Angel proceeds to complete a magic trick in which he has them write down a number on a notepad. Then he guesses the number.

Legacy vs. Randy Orton:

Viper attacks Legacy but the match continues

Orton&Rhodes starts with Orton getting with the upper hand then tags in DiBiase with a clothesline. Now legacy is whispering a game plan to each other in the corner as Orton watches. Tag made again to Rhodes. The three men are staring each other down. Orton with a kick to the stomach, and throws Rhodes head into the turnbuckle. Dibiase with a cheap shot at the corner, now Rhodes is distracting the referee and Dibiase is choking Orton out! Back to the center of the ring. Irish whip from Rhodes, Orton catches the ropes. Rhodes flies back at him and Orton ducks down and flips him over the top! Dibiase runs in to cheap shot Orton again, but the Viper turns around just in time and a staredown begins. 

As we come back from the break, it appears as if Orton has the upper hand. Battling both men at the same time, eventually sending Ted over the top rope. The two on one aspect is now catching up with the Legend Killer as Ted takes out his knees outside the ring. Both men now fighting Orton outside, as you see Ted throw his hands up once the referee is looking. A huge "Randy" chant starts from the crowd as the tag is made and DiBiase is again the legal man.

DiBiase has a basic sleeper applied to Orton and is screaming at him to submit. Orton now fighting his way out and flies off the ropes, DiBiase follows him and hits him with a clothesline just as Randy turns around. Quick pin gets a two count and a quick tag is made. Dropkick from Rhodes followed by another two count. Rhodes with a series of punches, backs Orton up into the corner. Follows it up with a kick to the stomach. Now bringing Randy back to the corner where a tag is made. Momentarily, they doubleteam Randy in the corner. Quick tag made again. Followed by another immediate tag. Double team into the opposite corner. Misstep by Ted as Orton ducks out of the way and begins batteling back for the first time in quite some time. Orton hits his trademark backbreaker on DiBiase! Now stalking Ted in the center of the ring, pounding his fists into the ground.

Rhodes briefly interferes, just long enough to turn Orton around. DiBiase hits DreamStreak on Randy Orton and gets the 3 count!!! Legacy is celebrating a great deal in the center of the ring now. 

Winners: Legacy

Cody hits his finisher and they say “You like that Randy?!” They do Orton’s pose.

Batista is interviewd and they ask if he will interfere. Says he won’t as WWE Champ and says good luck to John

HHH has a microphone in hand. Crowd goes crazy!!!! "So here's the thing. I actually kind of respect what Sheamus did last week. Honestly, if that was me, and I had gotten beaten like that at the Elimination Chamber, I would try to prove a point too" HHH is cut short by Sheamus's music. Sheamus says he'll make a statement of HHH at WM. The question is, does he have the guts!

HHH laughs at the question of having the guts. He commends Sheamus's year, and all of his accomplishments. He then points out the fact that Sheamus has never been to WM. And without making a name for yourself there, nothing else matters. HHH is now relating Sheamus's story to his own when he first entered the WWE. Saying that he made the same claims, he tried to challenge the top to make a name for himself, and failed. He then had to claw and climb his way back to the top. Until, he eventually became the main event man that young guns would challenge in order to make a name for themselves. He now asks Sheamus if he has the guts. He says you gotta be willing to lay it all on the line. All or nothing. For one shot of becoming immortal at WM!!! Or being nothing... He says it's a lot to think about. Before taking that gamble, you better be sure!

Sheamus now is backing away from HHH, tries to attack the game but it is immediately countered! The game knocks Sheamus outisde of the ring! They are now fighting outside of the ring. Hunter clotheslines The Celtic Warrior over the guard rail! Now Sheamus is trying to walk away, and HHH jumps on his back! They are back in the ring now and HHH hits him with his trademark spinbuster!!! Sheamus quickly rolls out of the ring and escapes towards the back. The Games music kicks in as they stare each other down. 

Criss Angel& Santino

Santino says he is a big fan. He tries to show Angel a disappearing thumb trick. Angel has a set of cups in front of him. There is a knife on the table as well. He asks Santino to place the knife under one of the cups and not tell him which one it is. Now Angel is examining the cups and smashing the ones that do not contain the knife. The first two are successful.... Then the third... FInally he flips over the last cup that contains the hidden knife. Santino looks like he might faint!

Bourne vs. Regal
MITB QualifyingMatch 

Usual Bourne match and it ends with an AirBourne!

Winner: Bourne

Stone Cold guest host next week

 Criss Angel is coming out to the ring to be the special ring announcer for tonight's main event. Gets a huge reaction from the crowd!

Cena vs. Vince

Angel says he is so honored to be on Monday Night Raw Live! He says he is here to present the Main Event. Really working the crowd into his promo. John Cena is first to come out. There is no doubt that this is a pro John Cena crowd as they are eating up his entrance right now!!! Angel is now announcing Mr. McMahon as his music hits. Vince is comes out

Vince grabs the mic. He is calling out Bret and mocking his injured leg. He says he hopes he is watching tonight. And with no disrespect to Criss Angel, tonight's match will not be an illusion. He then says this will be no ordinary match. It is A Handicapped gauntlet match!!! Kozlov beatsdown Cena and Vince with a 2 pin. McIntyre comes in and beatsdown Cena and Vince with another 2. Jack Swagger comes in and beats down Cena. 

Cena has taken over in regards to Swagger. He is in the process of hitting the 5 knuckle shuffle. Swagger gets up from that and counters Cena into a powerslam. He then hits his body drop from the turnbuckle. He lines up Cena to land the body drop one more time before tagging Vince back in. Vince is prancing around Cena before making the pin... Another 2 count! A frustrated Vince goes for the pin again. Again a 2 count!

Henry comes in and doesn’t want to fight but hits his finisher and Vince gets a 2. Vince makes it no DQ and he grabs the bell. He tells Henry to use it but he doesn’t.

Batista Spears Henry. Kingston comes and is thrown away. Cena fights Batista off then goes for his finisher on Vince but Batista attacks. Batista with a Spear, Batista Bomb and Vince with a 3.

Winner: Vince

   Try and give it your own twist buddy when you write the report. Other than that, it was good because it was pretty descriptive. Just show your passion, I know you got it or you wouldn't take time out your week to write this.

   I don't really get why some matches get proper write-ups and then others get a throwaway line, it's not very consistent and I wouldn't know what had actually happened at numerous points of RAW if this is meant to be a recap (I'm mainly talking about things like the Divas match and the Bourne/Regal match). It means you miss out a lot of stuff, like the fact Skip Sheffield was with Regal and that Christian & Heath Slater were at ringside too during that match.
   
   There's also a bit of a problem with names: in the gauntlet match, it's stuff like "Kozlov, McIntyre, Henry"...they just seem to come out of nowhere, you don't tell the reader who they are. It's fine to assume, but I'd give them their full name the first time you use them to clarify it. Also, you call some people by the wrong name - it's just Katie Lea now, although where you got Hailey Burchill from I'm not sure. Similarly, it's Hornswoggle, not Hornswaggle.
   
   Finally, there's quite a few spelling and grammatical errors in here, but my main gripe would be using words like "coz" - it just doesn't look right in text and doesn't make the article seem very good as a whole. There is some good stuff in here, but as a review or a recap, it's just not very easy to read or accessible.

    Now I'm usually hating on MVD, but today I felt like this person could use some useful criticism. First off I want to tell you that you clearly have the passion of a true wrestling fan, there's no doubting that. There were in fact too many grammatical errors. There were at least 4 or 5 spots where you needed to use colons instead of periods, and on one occasion even holding down the shift button too long. As for ending on a good note, your narration was in fact much better than the show itself. You actually make WWE seem like it's worth watching again. Out of 10, I would give this article a solid 8. It wasn't perfect by any means, but then again you got Mr. Indy's approval, so it's more on his head than yours. And yes, I know I went off topic, but I'm not the writer now am I??
    
    I come in posts day in and day out, pissing off some people and making others laugh because they know I'm right. This is like the 8th time I've done this to grab his attention, and so far all I've gotten was a messaged that he copied and pasted from a Word document. You would think with the replies on people hating and loving me that it would be a no brainer that I get people interested in my posts. Now just imagine if it was a full article, just imagine the crowds I would bring in.
