Welcome one and all to the first ever Chilling With Winters. I will bringing you my coverage of Raw and will feature my ratings on matches and segments and also bringing some after match thoughts. We just into the first segment with Vinny Mac coming out to the ramp; It was good to see Vince back on WWE television and I think that a potential partnership may come up between Regal and Vince after the actions that happened. They could also go the other way and have them feud to see who really is the most powerful man in WWE. I’m glad that Regal won the KOTR as he can use this as a chance to get more heat from the crowd and also use this to get the push he deserves. I’m glad Kennedy came out to the ring and that they could make this feud go further. I am also hoping that WWE will turn Kennedy face soon as it seems like they have been teasing it for a little bit of time. HHH comes out to the ring and interrupts the Kennedy-Regal talking segment. Regal then announces that Kennedy and Triple H will face the 14 superstars on the ECW roster. While I’m glad ECW is getting exposure on Raw, I don’t think this is the way to go as they will probably job out anyways. Segment Rating: 7/10; Glad to see that Kennedy will begin to play a big part in the Main Event and I hope that they use this feud to push him and get him the WWE Title eventually. We go into the first match which is a rematch for the Women’s Title between Beth and Mickie James. The other divas are standing around the ring as they tell us this will be a lumberjack match. I hope the divas don’t play a big part in the ending and they just let these two divas wrestle. The match starts out rather slowly and Mickie gets thrown out of the ring and gets beat up by the other divas first. They start to have a big diva brawl on the outside which just distracts the fans from the match. They also are having Beth dominate Mickie which will probably lead to a lame ending. And this snoozefest is back on as Beth…..you guessed it, continues to dominate. But how hot is Michelle M? Mickie starts a comeback and Beth goes to the outside and gets attacked by the lumberdivas. Who called that lame ending? Yep, Big Daddy Winters did. Mickie retains after Melina hits Beth with the title. Match Rating: 4/10; Found the match to be boring and the ending was easy to see as they wouldn’t have Mickie pin Beth clean or else the feud would pretty much end. These girls can do better. Oh My God! It’s Trish! And she still looks very beautiful as always. Murdoch is actually a very good singer and should continue with that gimmick. And yeah, Simmons does his Damn! Gimmick. Orton gets into an interview and just rants on about CM Punk and “The Age of Orton” I hope they bring CM Punk to Raw soon as I think they could have a nice feud with Punk/Orton, Punk/HHH, or Punk/HBK. He isn’t going anywhere on ECW and its time to pull him out of there. Paul Burchill and Katie Lea come to the ring for a two on one handicap match. That John Cutler guy has a good look if he could get into the company but he’s most likely going to be jobbed out tonight. They cut off JR’s mic and bring out Mike “I suck at announcing” Adamle. And JR trips on the mic cord(:-p) And Adamle is officially the worst announcer in wrestling history. Cutler has got in no offence as Burchill is dominating. Adamle makes an announcing mistake and King pretty much points it out and points out how much of a failure Adamle is at announcing. Katie Lea is a girl that I would also like to see in the Women’s division. She has the look and she can wrestle well and would be a good addition. Lea just lays out a nice top rope kick to Cutler’s stomach and Burchill hits the awesome looking Curb Stomp. God that move looks vicious. Match Rating: 5/10; Sure it was a job, but I think that they should continue to use this to showcase Lea’s and Burchill’s move sets and can keep pushing them to the stars. And Adamle made the match lose one rating point just because he sucks at announcing. Morrison and Miz come out to the ring with one of the best entrance songs in the WWE. If Morrison can stay out of trouble for his career, I see him going very far and holding a major title sometime in the next year or so. And “Mr. Boring” Jericho enters next and HBK enters last and we get this tag team contest started. HBK walks to the ring using his “injured” knee limp trying to act like his knee is still injured. Expecting either Jericho or HBK to turn on his partner and let Miz and Morrison pick up the win. Start out the match with Jericho knocking down each member of M&M until Morrison starts a comeback. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho early but lays out Miz with a dropkick. Morrison then lays out Jericho with a nice springboard kick. Miz tags back in and goes for the submission hold of pain. Jericho attacks Morrison back in and gets sneak attacked by Miz. Jericho lays out Morrison with the bulldog and puts Miz into the Walls. Morrison lays out Jericho with a kick then knocks out HBK but OH MY GAWD! HBK hits the Superkick and Jericho hits the linonsault and they pick up the win. Way for the WWE not to get Shawn into that match…at all. Match Rating: 6/10; Good chemistry from Morrison and Jericho but I would have liked to see HBK get into the ring more other than the superkick. Still the match had some solid tag team wrestling. We come back from commercial and head right into the CM Punk/Randy Orton match. Hoping these two can put on a good match with each other and they eventually can have these two feud. I think they need to give Orton another gimmick. He got over the most with his Legend Killer and Career Ender gimmick and now they don’t really have anything for him. CM Punk heads out to the ring and we get the match started. CM Punk is one of those guys who I see as the future of the WWE. Just waiting for him to cash in his MITB and hopefully win the WWE Title from HHH or head to SD and take the title from whoever the titleholder is at the time. CM Punk takes a hard fall to the outside as the two men fight on the outside and eventually move back into the ring. Orton stomps the knee of Punk but Punk eventually fights back but misses a highflying move and Orton gets a two count. And King makes another funny comment about Adamle’s announcing. Punk lands the bulldog you see in every one of his matches and Regal walks to the ring and turns out the lights during the middle of the match and says that it is officially over. Lame. Match Rating: 2/10; Regal uses his power to end the match which never really got going as neither man really got any offence in. Orton just can’t seem to be able to finish a match without the lights being turned off. Carlito is in the ring and we start up everybody’s favorite talk show, Carlito’s Cabana. Rowdy Roddy Piper comes out to the ring and we get this interview started. And Cody Rhodes comes out to the ramp and he grabs a mic! He actually is decent on the mic and I’m glad that they are giving him some more time to get on the mic and Cryme Time comes to the ring! Cryme Time gets on the mic and make a chant up for RRP. I’d love to see the titles be on Cryme Time and Piper just started to dance…wow. Anyways; Segment Rating: 7/10; Nothing wrong with this segment and they had Cryme Time in it so the rating was one of the highest of the night. Hoping to see where they go with the Hardcore Cody/Sanlito/ Cryme Time feud. JBL gives us a tour of his limo as he heads to the ring to take on DH Smith. Remember when DH was actually winning and not jobbing out to midcarders? And JBL just starts assaulting DH and makes a jab at jesus. And remember he is your wrestling god-ah~ And DH gets pwned by the clothesline from hell and that’s the match. He starts to beat up DH after the match and shows his true brutality Match Rating: 6/10; A job is a job but the beat down after the match earns him bonus points because it shows his true intensity and will bring that anger to his match at JD and hopefully him and Cena can put on a good match. Regal tries to hype up the ECW roster for their match with The Game and Mr. Kennedy. Notice how Kane and Chavo could just stand in the locker room together and not want to attack each other? This only proves that wrestling is real. ECW comes out to random music and a picture of the ECW logo on the big screen. Glad to see a MITB holder, and Tag Team Champions can’t even get their own entrances. Kennedy makes his way out to the ring and Triple H follows. Ken Kennedy starts in the match against E. Burke. Burke tags Matt Striker in and HHH quickly knocks him to the ground. Kennedy gets into the match and starts hitting on Striker. Striker quickly runs and gets the tag to Mike Knox as he starts to get some offence in on Ken Kennedy. Chavo Guerrero gets tagged in by Mikey Knox and now Kofi Kingston gets tagged into the match. Kofi tags in ECW Original Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer hits a couple moves before tagging Kofi back into the match. Shelton blindside tags Kofi and Kofi accidentally lays him out with a clothesline, which leads to Shelton knocking Kofi to the outside. Atleast they are using this tag team match to add to the Kofi-Shelton feud that’s going on in ECW. Nunzio gets into a match and gets layed out by the Kenton Bomb. Kennedy is laying on the ground as Nunzio tags in Chavo which leads to HHH knocking down a series of ECW superstars and before getting layed out by a kick to The Game’s head. Kennedy gets up and gets chokeslammed before Kane goes to attack Chavo. Chavo’s bodyguard saves him and Chavo jumps off and hits a Frog Splash on Kennedy for the win. HHH attacks superstars after the match which leads to several ECW superstars fighting each other and now superstars are laying out HHH. Mikey Knox goes to the outside and gets a chair but HHH gets it and attacks. And the lights go out for what the third time tonight. OMG! OMG! OMG! Orton runs in and lays HHH out with an RKO! That was so epic that I almost marked out….legit. Match Rating: 6/10; Short match for having 16 men in it but the ending with Orton and HHH nailing guys with the chair was well played. Overall I think the match would have been better if it was longer but the Orton run-in made it all better. Overall, I think this Raw was pretty boring and uneventful. I’m hoping the show will pick up next week as we get closer to Judgment Day but the only thing that really stuck out to me was the Cryme Time segment, the tag team match, and the main event. Hoping all of you guys liked my first report as I will be reporting Raw for you adoring fans every week; Feel free to post your comments on my report and if anybody wants to talk wrestling or has any questions for me, feel free to message me on the site and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
