Wrestlmania has struck again. With all the hype and glandour that was thrown into it alot of people were hoping to find great matches and unbelievable turns of events as the night unfolded. I would agree "some" of the matches were beyond my expectations for showmanship. However there were also matches that made me disapointed and consider asking for my money back. Was the show worth the 55 dollars canadian that I spent on it? No not really, I would have been thinking it should have been 40 dollars like they used to be. I for one will not be ordering anymore Wrestlemanias if they stay at that price. Well you want me to go into disecting the matches and talking about great and horrible things well here we go. The first matchup of the night consisted of Finley vs JBL. From the first look at JBL it looks like his money is going straight to his belly. You can actually see him sucking in his gut for the cameras. It was halarious. The lead up to this match was Horny getting a good butt whooping by JBL. Now I can see people like him steamrolling another wrestler but to have him tear apart a little person like that was pretty sickening and really why do they show that kind of crap on tv. Anyways apparently JBL got "proof" that Finley was Hornswaggles pappy. Which of course infuriated Mcmahon and he set them up for Wrestlemania. Now this matchup was pretty good but over all it looked like they were fighting in syrup. There was no speed to this matchup and they were over playing how much an aluminum garbage can lid hurts when you get hit with it. There were some good points in the matchup where Finley took a dive through the ropes at JBL to the outside but caught the garbage can lid to the top of his head. Finley is one crazy rotter. He went under the ring and threw everything he could find into the ring at the start of the matchup. He creamed JBL into a table after JBL of course turned on Hornswaggle and beat him up again... gotta love a guy who is as big as JBL beating up on someone who barely crests 4 feet. After JBL went through the table he turned the tables on Finley with a pathetic clothesline to pin and win. Now we are talking Finley the guy who loves to fight getting taken out with a clothesline. Grrrr. Winner JBL by pinfall Rated 3 of 5 stars Anyways now we move on to our second match of the night. This one was Batista and Umaga. Two powerhouses tearing into eachother seems like a great matchup.... well it was. Umaga pretty much controlled the entire matchup. There is not much to say about this matchup other than the point and laugh at Batista who obviously messed up the powerslam on Umaga at the end of the matchup really pulling some muscles in his lower back. Well you try to Batistaslam a guy who wieghs as much as a Buick you gotta know what your getting into. Plus him walking up the ramp holding his back like a 90 year old man was pretty cute. Go Batista you powerhouse you...would you like some tylanol. I am not saying I hate Batista I just like watching profesional wrestlers make boo boos and see how they react to it. Winner Batista by pinfall Rated 1 of 5 stars The third matchup of the night to me was THE BEST matchup in the whole show. This one I have to stand and applaud the wrestlers in this one cause it was absolutly unbelievable what they did in the matchup and how they did it. It was the 7 man Money In The Bank Ladder Match. These guys had ladders coming out of nowhere. I think in all there must have been 20 ladders around that arena and these guys used them almost perfectly. Its funny though watching them bring in the 6 step ladders. Like seriously these ladders are useless cause there is no way you can reach the briefcase with them. All they are good for is flailing around knocking your opponents like bumper cars. There was one man on here I would like to applaud and he would be Shelton Benjamin. This guy took a 15 foot drop from the top of the tall ladders doing a forward sommersault onto his back on top of a ladder braced on the ring and barrior out side the ring. He broke through the ladder crashing ontop of it in a bad angle on the mats outside the ring. That was absolutley unbelievable. This guy came into the matchup as a jobber being pretty much a no name and pulling some great moves. Also Y2J got into it with John Morrison on the top of the ladder inside the ring and somehow bent Morrison backwards across the top of the ladder bringing his feet up and locking them in Morrisons armpits and pulling on Johns legs in what looked like a very wierd abdominal stretch slash torture rack while on top of the ladder. It was a move I have never seen before and from how painful it looks hope not to see it again. There was no way to fake that move so it wouldnt hurt. Poor John took the full brunt of that move and was pretty much out of it for the rest of the matchup... well I guess he can keep Shelton company so its not a total loss. Mvp came close to winning it all when he sneakily but not suprisingly laid out a couple of wrestlers and climbed the match as the last 2 wrestlers took themselves out. He climbed the ladder and was making a show on how beautiful his efforts were when out of the crowd came the guy with the wierdly unproportionate head... no not the Rock but Matt Hardy. He jumped into the ring, climbed the ladder and punched out Mvp and then delivered a super twist of fate from the top of the ladder to the mat. Then he hightailed it out of there and back through the crowd. At the end it was Cm Punk and Jericho at the ladder with Jericho already at the top. As CM climbed the ladder Jericho threw everything at him but the kitchen sink... I think he was trying to find it but was too busy kicking CM in the face to stop his climbing. CM however took everyshot and at the top knocked Jericho over backwards so his was hung up by a leg and grabbed the briefcase for the win. Like I said I loved it and so should ANYONE who watches this matchup. It falls into my top 10 matches of all time. Winner CM Punk by grabbing da cash baby whoo hoo Rated 6 of 5 stars UNBELIEVABLE!! After this was a recap of the Hall Of Fame Class of 2008. We got to see some of the great minds and wrestlers from the 60s and 70s like Mae Young... that lady just turned 100 and as they called her name she started to disrobe.... YUK however thankfully she was almost tackled by another inductee and had "help" with putting her overcoat back on. That is one dirty woman and one to remember. Anyways moving off that quickly.... The next matchup was The Big Red Machine against Chavo. Kane had a matchup against 23 other wrestlers earlier and won for the chance to fight Chavo for the ECW Championship. This looked like it could get interesting however Kane came in the back way suprised Chavo with a chokeslam off the hop and pinned him for the 1...2...3. Personally this was a waste of airtime. Winner Kane by pinfal rated 0 of 5 stars The next matchup I will look at is the Lumberjack matchup that they called Bunnymania. Again they are trying to equate womens wrestling with Playboy. Its really pathetic that they do this when its a family thing that little kids watch and see oh look mommy she has silocone in her boobs why dont you... again yuk. Anywhoo Snoop dog was the master of cerimonies and it was pretty good matchup that Santino interupted and distracted maria so the Glamazon could beat her up a little for the win. The best part of this matchup was when Snoop nailed Santino with a clothesline and sent him crawling out of the ring. Like cmon Snoop wieghs as much as my right foot. How the deuce is a clothesline from him going to hurt. Then he locked lips with Maria proving she will put out for anyone. Boys write her lots of letters cause you never know.... Winner Santino by not catching what Snoop will be giving her..... jk Official winners Beth Phoenix & Melina by pinfall with an assist from Santino rated 2.5 out of 5 stars Now I get to talk about Ric Flairs last matchup ever in the WWE. Thank goodness cause Flair was starting to look like Peter off of Family guy. It was a decent matchup with Flair using his patented low blows and all the dirty tricks he knew but to no avail. The match ended with Micheals superkicking flair after saying "I am sorry.... I love you". It was pretty sweet and sentamental for his last match of his career however he should have been inducted into the hall of fame next year since its pretty funny doing it while he is still wrestling. Its kinda backwards. oh well live and let live. Winner Shawn Micheals by pinfall Rated 4 out of 5 stars OOhhh Mayweather against Big Show. Now there is a lop sided match however keeping with past history every guest boxer has won against wrestlers in the WWE. Mayweather got the crap beat out of him that he had to be carried by his handlers three quarters of the way back to the entrance of the arena before Big Show carried him back to the ring. Of course Mayweather scurries to the top turnbuckle with the help of Big Show and jumps onto Big Shows back with a sleeper hold. then after Big Show drops to his knees Mayweather grabs one of his cronies bling bling that just happened to be a knuckle buster and nailed Big Show with them for the win. The funny part was when the biggest lackey of Mayweathers crowns Big Show with a chair and Show turns around and nails the lackey then Mayweather hits Show with a chair and Show drops like a rock. Blah how does that work. Then Mayweather and his flock jump and cheer away from the ring. Pretty pathetic if you ask me considering he had to be carried 3 minutes earlier out of the ring and now he is dancing with joy. Ah well NEXT!!! Winner Mayweather by TKO (ten count) rated 1 of 5 stars 2 Matches left. The Triple threat match with Orton, HHH, and Cena was pretty good. Each man took turns beating Orton which is always fun to watch. This match had so many jumps in it and nothing out of the ordinary to report. Orton snook in at the end and took the belt with a sneaky pin after HHH reversed John Cenas stfu and put him in a pedigree. Then Orton raced in and nailed HHH with a boot and stole the pin. Winner Orton by pinfall Rated 3 of 5 stars For the Main event Undertaker vs Edge. This one was pretty good also. Edge threw all he had at the Undertaker and Undertaker kept getting up. I think Edge might want to work out a little harder before his next match. Of course what big match would be fair without Edges lackies and potential Mrs coming down to the ring. When the two peons interfered in the match they both got taken out by the undertaker in one quick chokeslam from the apron of the arena to the floor outside. Then Edge speared Taker trying to pin but Taker just laughed and got back up. Edge tried for the Tombstone but it was countered and Taker nailed him with it. Looks good on yah Edge keep up the good work. Winner The Undertaker by tapout Rated 4 of 5 stars The matches were in an overall look ok but the few good ones really stood out and made it a fun time watching the show. If you have time to watch it then by all means do so just watchout for the few rotten apples... no offence Carlito but the apples on here stink worse than you do. Now there are no doubt that 24 had its great matches but it was highly disappointing in many ways. First off they should have never let Show job to Mayweather. I would have given that a -1/5. As for Kane winning the title. All I can say is about time someone good got that title since Rob Van Dam and took it away from a should-be-jobber in Chavo. I do agree that Michaels-Flair should have been 5/5, but I can understand why you could have given it a 4. I honestly wanted to see a Ric Flair tap out to the inverted figure 4. And I'm happy that Cena is jobbing to Orton now. Orton definitely makes a better champ, like or hate him. But it's the fact everyone hates Orton so much that he deserves the title more than either one of them. Still after all of that, the match still overall sucked in my opinion. Reversing the STFU into the crossface?? When did he have a training session with a deceased Chris Benoit??

The MitB match was good as allways but it wasn't as epic as HBK VS Flair. Now that Flair is gone (it's sad but it was really time to let go) the greatest active wrestler today is HBK!!!
A note on the 3Threat match: I loved to see that Orton got away with the title. I really hate Ortons gimmick but he is a better wrestler than HHH and far better than Cena..
Was really dissapointed when Edge lost. Taker is epic yes but he is so boring.... Edge on the other hand is a great preformer even though I "hate Edge" and even though he is really ugly.
Edge and Orton seems to be the only "young" Superstars...

I gotta agree, the MitB was the highlight of the whole show. Mayweather/Big Show sucked and Kane trouncing Chavo made me giggle (but was otherwise filler).
The only thing I would disagree about is the Bunnymania match, but only by upping it to 3/5. The key thing is it suprised me that the 'good guys' lost, something I doubt anyone honestly expected. Just for catching us off guard, I'd give it that extra 0.5.

I think it has very good matches like MiTB or HBK sv Flair(We will miss u Flair)but it was kinda dissapointing, let say, the 3 threat it was good but I expected more than just finish with a kick and the fight vs Mayweather I dont know what it was thinking the WWE, this is WRESTLEMANIA, not a normal PPV.
and also what in the hell is doing santino, he is only a jobber, better the WWE would have to give a push to guys who deserve it like Morrison(dont like his gimnick but he is doing a good job) or shelton benjamin(it was amazing how he falls from the ladder)

Well written. Chavo's entrance was much longer than the actual match so it basically shows that Chavo was a fluke champion. The Bunnymania actually impressed me a bit. Maria was really hammering Phoenix. She has obviously been training. She looked good in that ring. Good Mania as always. 16-0

Just a quick mistake, the Batista and Umaga match wasnt 2nd, it was 3rd.
My highlights:
1.Hornswoggle hitting JBL with kendo sitck, no results
2. Morrison moonsault with ladder
3. Benjamin busted through ladder(Holy shit!!!)
4. Matt Hardy's return (called it all the way)
5. The fact that the batista match sucked.
6. Kane's 8 second win!
7. Missed moonsault and 'im sorry i love u' Sweet Chin Music
8. Light failuure during bunnymania match.
9. snoops clothesline to santino, bout time.
10. Big show chokeslamming Big Mac(my friends call mayweathers posse that)
