Welcome to another edition of the Righteous Rankings! The WWE has been around for many years and many wrestlers stick out. But the ones that really cement there name and legacy are the ones who get there names in the record books. Some wrestlers find one way or another to get there way into the record book whether it be good or bad.
But here im not going to talk about the Santino's and Chavo's that break records like shortest time in a Royal Rumble or shortest time in a Wrestlemania match. Im going to be breaking down the top 10 greatest records in WWE history.
-
Ranking: #10
Record: Most Royal Rumble Wins (3)
Holder: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Winning the Royal Rumble is one of the biggest accomplishments that you can complete in the WWE. Not only because you just won the biggest match of the year in the WWE but because your going on to headline the main event at Wrestlemania. Well Stone Cold Steve Austin didnt accomplish this once but three times. Meaning more than anyone else in WWE history. Not to mention that he did it back to back which is another record of itself.
Winning the Royal Rumble has also led to big defining matches in his career including his classic submission match against Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13. He lost that match but either way, Stone Cold Steve Austin has cemented himself in the WWE Hall of Fame and Royal Rumble history forever.

Ranking: #9
Record: Longest Drought Without Becoming Champion
Holder: Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Here is a man who had a full wrestling career with over 10 years in the WWE and TNA. He wasnt a jobber either because he feuded with big names like Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, Andre The Giant, and many others. Even if it may seem like a very bad thing, never winning a title belt in the WWE takes talent at his level.
Your probably reading this wondering how this snuck on the list but I have to mention it because this man had many opportunities but just couldnt ever deliver. He has had that feeling of belt around his waist in other smaller corporations but has never been a WWE, TNA, or WCW champion in his career which is now over.
-
Ranking: #8
Record: Lowest Entry Winning Royal Rumble (1st)
Holder: Shawn Michaels
A moment like this one was something that wont be forgotten and will never be beaten. This is the only record on this list that can probably be matched one day in the future but can never be beaten. Shawn Michaels came in as the first entrant and British Bulldog was the second entrant. Over 38 minutes later and they were the only two guys left in the match.
Shawn Michaels then completed his legacy and eliminated British Bulldog to stay in the Royal Rumble from beginning to end. Shawn Michaels fighting off all 29 members to win the Royal Rumble isnt his only record either. Shawn Michaels holds the record for all time Royal Rumble eliminations with 39. The momentum then carried on another year because Shawn Michaels won the next years Royal Rumble as well.
-
Ranking: #7
Record: Most WWE/World Tag Team Championships (14 Time)
Holder: Edge
Edge is a 5 time World Heavyweight Champion and a 4 time WWE Champion but where he really shines is in the tag division. Yes the WWE tag division is just about dead but it used to be big and that is where Edge had all his glory. He had many partner including Randy Orton in Rated-RKO but he has more history with one partner more than the rest and that is Christian.
E&C (Edge & Christian) are 7 time World Tag Team Champions. The first two TLC matches were two of the greatest tag team matches in history and E&C won them both. His success with Christian was also recognized by the Wrestling Observer when E&C was named the 2000 tag team of the year.
-
Ranking: #6
Record: Youngest World Heavyweight Champion (Age 24)
Holder: Randy Orton
Last week I didnt place Randy Orton's match at Summerslam among the top ten but if I did Summerslam moments then it definitely would have broken the countdown. In 2004 Randy Orton lost his Intercontinental Championship which would seem like bad thing. But the loss automatically positioned him as the top contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.
He went on to fight Chris Benoit at Summerslam in the main event and came out champion 20 minutes later. The next night Evolution betrayed Randy Orton in disapprovement but either way, Orton is the youngest person ever to win the World
Heavyweight Championship.
-
Ranking: #5
Record: Most World Championships (15 Time)
Holder: Ric Flair
Ric Flair is a man who is still wrestling in the ring at the age of 61. So its no secret that he has been around long enough that most of his World Championships arent just within the WWE. But if you put together his titles in the WWE, WCW, NWA, and then you get a very impressive count of 15 World Championships.
Nobody seems to be even close to passing his record at the moment but who said Flair is done with his count either? He should be done after losing a retirement match at Wrestlemania XXIV against Shawn Michaels, in what was considered one of the matches of the decade. But instead he is still fighting matches in TNA at the age of 61! Sounds to me like he is having a heard time stepping away from what he loves to do just like Brett Favre but he is still only getting older. Whether he calls it quits soon or not, his record remains among the best.
-
Ranking: #4
Record: Longest Non-Royal Rumble Match (1 Hour 2 Minutes)
Holder: Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart
Some matches are an all out battle but this one was a war. Both men entered into the first ever Ironman match in the WWE and absolutely nobody was able to get a point the whole match. So it went into overtime and then finally Shawn Michaels was able to pull off the victory in dramatic fashion. The match not only headlined Wrestlemania 12 but headlined itself as a defining moment for the WWE.
These men werent done though because over a year later they fought again in a simple one fall match. Bret Hart was then double crossed and the moment became infamously known as the "Montreal Screwjob". These men have big history but they
have also made history by cemented there match as the longest ever to date.

Ranking: #3
Record: Longest Win Streak (15 Years)
Holder: Andre The Giant
I think Vladimir Kozlov was undefeated for multiple months against jobbers when he first came into the WWE and that was a big deal. But 15 years is so big that I can basically guarantee that nobody will ever do it again. The whole thing happened before I was born so its kind of hard to explain but lets just say that John Cena made his debut in 2002 so its only been about 10 years since he has been in the WWE. Can you imagine how huge it would be if he was undefeated all this time? Well imagine that with 5 years on top.
The streak finally came to an end at Wrestlemania III when Hulk Hogan was able to overcome the odds and defend his belt against Andre The Giant. There feud set the stage and actually took part in the creation of Survivor Series. Andre The Giant passed away over 15 years ago but his legacy still lives on as he was the first person
to ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
-
Ranking: #2
Record: Longest WWE Championship Reign (2,803 Days)
Holder: Bruno Sammartino
Back in 1963, Bruno was able to defeat "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers in just 48 seconds. It would make Bruno just the second champion to hold the belt but what the win really meant was the start of something huge. Bruno Sammartino went on to reign as champion for more than 8 years. Now if you reign for over a year its unheard of. But Bruno was able to fight off anyone who stepped in his way.
He didnt lose the belt until 2,803 after winning it and he even eventually took the belt back for another 1,237 days. This accomplishment cant be compared to any others because its one of a kind. The bar has been set so high that the second longest reign is only about half as long as the first. Bruno is still alive and will never be forgotten for being a part of history.
-
Ranking: #1
Record: Undefeated Wrestlemania Record (18-0)
Holder: Undertaker
Going through this list, there was no doubt in my mind that this record is by far the greatest. 18 men have all stepped to the plate and all have been striked out. Shawn Michaels got two back to back chances and still couldnt get the job done. Beating the same opponent twice can be very difficult but Undertaker managed to do it in dramatic fashion both times so the streak lives on.
There is no doubt that the Undertaker streak is the greatest record never to be broken and it still goes on and shouldnt be over just yet. The legacy is so big that at this point there is nothing to gain and absolutely everything to lose...

Undertaker has faced Kane twice at wrestlemania and HBK twice so technically 18 different people haven't stepped into the ring with him at wrestlemania.

For #8 don´t forget rey mysterio who although won it as starter even if he only was number 2
and for #5 triple has just celebrated his 41th birthday and he has 13 world titles so the only things that could stop him from breaking flairs record would be his own body or his friendship with ric flair.
