The Theme song runs, and welcome to SMACKDOWN! Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman welcome us to ringside..... The show starts out with Big Show coming out down the aisle. There are two local jobbers in the ring, I think I caught the names Troy Ryans and Jay Garland, but don’t depend on that. Big Show dominated the whole match (obviously) started off with him grabbing one of them by the neck and hitting a big boot on the other. Big Show showed no mercy, throwing them out of the ring, using the rope to hang them over and knock them off over it. Very very cruel on Big Shows part, but mid-match he went to a different style. Threw one of the jobbers onto the turnbuckle, and put his hands into fists over his head in a boxing position. And starting throwing body punches one after another. Preparing for Floyd “money” Mayweather, perhaps? The match ended when Big Show took one of the jobbers to mid ring and gave a big blow punch to the poor guys head. WINNER BY PINFALL: Big Show at 1:40 Big Show then gets a microphone and does a short WrestleMania promo for his match against Floyd “money” Mayweather. He told fans that, at WrestleMania, he would break Floyd’s hands, he would break his head, and he would break Floyd’s spirit. A Make-A-Wish foundation promo then hits, showing a new partnership with WWE, and announces the first ever person to grant 100 wishes, take one guess before looking down to the next line, you will probably get it right John Cena Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore then make their way to the ring and Deuce ‘n Domino come out to the ring next, escorted by cherry of course, who actually does nothing at all but look stupid walking on roller blades. The match starts with Jimmy Wang Yang and domino in the ring and domino gets out to a quick lead, Jimmy pulls off some cool reverses in the Jimmy high flying, speed class style. Jimmy then tags in Shannon Moore and tries to pull off some cool move on the outside of the ropes, but domino throws him off out of the ring. Pretty brutally I may add. Jimmy gets in after Shannon comes back, and it’s Jimmy and deuce in the ring, Jimmy misses his moonsault, but then tried again and hits it for the pinfall WINNER BY PINFALL: the team of Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore at 5:35 We then cut to back stage where Vickie is sitting with edge, (not like she has any other choice but to sit) and edge is talking about leaving the WWE in the night, and going to gods country: Canada. Vickie then says she loves Canada, and most of all, Canadians. And gives a look to edge. But edge’s comrades, the edgeheads interrupt his conversation. Edge then tells Zack Ryder that he has a match tonight, against none other than The Undertaker. Zack has a look on his face like he just saw a ghost, and Edge tells him that Edge and Curt Hawkins will be behind him, and have his back the whole match. Chuck Palumbo’s music hits and he comes out on his motorcycle, the handlebars are unusually small for a chuck-cycle. And his opponent, Jamie Noble comes out, escorted by Michelle McCool. Jamie uses his quickness and “tenaciousness” as Jonothan Coachman puts it. But is overpowered by Chuck’s, well power. The match was filled with many lead changes, and although did not contain many huge moves, a lot of little ones filled the void. Chuck Palumbo took a huge lead at one point, and took Jamie out of the ring again, Michelle kept screaming and whining and moaning for Chuck to stop it, pretty annoying to watch it actually. But Chuck was distracted by hit and Jamie took the opening and pushed Palumbo right in to the ring post. Jamie then took the match back in to the ring and took somewhat of a lead. But Chuck hit some sort of weird unorthodox suplex to Jamie. All looked over then, but Jamie kicked out at two, many near falls, but Jamie Noble just wouldn’t give up. Noble reversed a move and took it in to an armbar submission maneuver. But Chuck reached for, and got the bottom rope. From then on it was all down hill for Jamie, Chuck hits the Full Throttle and gets the pin WINNER BY PINFALL: Chuck Palumbo at 7:15 We then go back stage again, it seems Vickie is sitting in the same spot, but this time teddy long is there. Batista interrupts conversation, and talks about how there will be a Raw vs. Smackdown! Match at WrestleMania. Umaga has been chosen to represent Raw, and Batista says he wants to represent Smackdown! Vickie grants him that match WRESTLEMANIA MATCH: BATISTA (SMACKDOWN!) VS. UMAGA (RAW) After we come back from a commercial break Batista’s music hits, and out comes Batista. Kane then also comes out and as announced the tag team match will be Kane/Batista against The Great Khali/MVP. The Great Khali’s music hits and he comes out, very slowly I might add without Ranjin Singh still. Does his cream and enters the ring. And then MVP makes his way to the ring, but he didn’t come through the MVP tunnel, and his pyrotechnics did not make the whistling sound they usually make. The match was very built up, and I was very excited to see the match, but it ended up being a very long and very boring match, a lot of stalling on MVP’s part, Khali was walking slowly around the ring the whole time instead of fighting, and the moves were all very weak, pointless, and unexciting. In the end, the one highlight of the match, was that Batista hit a spine buster on Khali, but Khali came back and went for the vice grip, but Batista used his strength to push Khali off, Khali then had Kane in Choke Slam position, but Batista hit a huge spear on Khali for the pin. WINNERS BY PINFALL: the team of Batista and Kane at 17:00 We are back from the commercial break and the winner of the 2008 diva search Eve Torres comes out to announce two Hall Of Fame inductees for March 29th Peter maivia- The Rocks grandfather Rocky Johnson- The Rocks father A short promo for each man is run, showing each career and both of their accomplishments and a little back round to each wrestler or future hall of famer if you will. Jesse and Festus then make their way to the ring, Festus in his oblivious state as always before the match. John Morrison and The Miz come out, John Morrison in slo-mo, what a pleasant sight. They both have mics in their hands and show their latest version of The Dirt Sheet on the titantron. It shows them talking to Jesse via satellite about him being abducted by aliens, this interview is obviously fake because the shots of Jesse were 2 different costumes and backgrounds. Festus has no clue what is going on with The Dirt Sheet because he is in his apathetic state, the Miz makes fun of Festus and Festus doesn’t notice. But then the bell rings, Festus turned into some savage beast, grabs the Miz, and throws him around to start the match. They run their unorthodox offensive style and pick up an easy win over the WWE tag team champions WINNER BY PINFALL: the team of Jesse and Festus at 4:30 A clip from the steel cage match on Raw two weeks ago runs, showing Hornswoggle getting basically killed, then it showed last week, were John Bradshaw Layfield states that hornswoggle is Finlays son and not Mr. McMahons, that nobody knew it but Finlay. And it is announced that Finlay is schedule to be on Raw this Monday, and Raw can have him because he has not made any Smackdown! Appearances lately. Big Daddy V music hits, and he makes his incredibly slow entrance, you would think a guy who needs the exercise would run just a little? I think the guy needs to take a break from wrestling, go to jenny Craig, lose 400 pounds, and then he might be able to come back. But he came in then Balls Mahoney comes in. Balls doesn’t even look like a wrestler, he looks like they picked him straight off the street, looked kind of like Mick Foley in that ugly plaid jacket. Anyway, the match starts and Big Daddy Fat takes a HUGE lead, just demolishes Balls, does all those slaps near the turnbuckle, the V slappy things. And hits (what would be) a MORTAL Samoan drop. RING……RING…..The Undertakers music hits!!! He storms out, power-walking down the aisle. He looks very mad, even for The Undertaker he looks mad. He walks in the ring, does a very light kick to Big Daddy, and Bid Daddy falls through the 2nd rope down to the floor. I thought the Undertaker was done there, but he stalled, and looks to Balls still lying in the ring from the Samoan drop. Undertaker picks him up and hits a massive, ring rumbling, head shattering, thundery, CHOKESLAM, BOOM, Balls hit the matt really hard. Undertaker then gets on the microphone, and does a short WrestleMania hype, saying to Edge “Bring out your minion! Because you share the same fate as him, because at WrestleMania, you will REST……IN……PEACE…. Edge’s music hits and Edge comes out in street clothes while his two “Minions” come out ready to fight, but only Zack Ryder will fight the Undertaker as scheduled. The Undertaker had his eye on Edge the whole match, knowing what kind of dirty tricks Edge would try to pull off. Which gave Zack Ryder an advantage, he got a few light punches in while the Undertaker was distracted by Edge. But from then on Undertake dominated the whole match completely, hitting another…CHOKESLAM, BIGGER THAN THE 1ST ONE Zack was easily 7.5 feet in the air, it was an amazing Chokeslam, which would bring the end of the match, usually at least, but that new MMA, triangle choke had to come up. Zack tapped within a nano-second of the beginning of the triangle choke. WINNER BY SUBMISSION: The Undertaker!!! At 6:45 While the Undertaker was still on his back, Edge came in and got some cheap shot angry stomps in, and him and Curt Hawkins did a little tag team action on the Undertaker. But then Edge ditches Curt, leaving him to the Undertaker. Undertaker hits another MASSIVE Chokeslam. And locks in the triangle choke on Curt Hawkins. Edge is standing on the aisle with a microphone saying “make him break it” but does not do anything to stop the Undertaker. The Undertaker eventually lets go, but there is blood EVERYWHERE, I mean blood all over the ring, all over Curt Hawkins, and even all over the Undertaker at this point, but the Undertaker got up. Looked at Edge, stuck out his tongue and his tongue was very blood-stained, (wonder where he got the blood…) Overall, it was a great show this Friday night on Smackdown! But it wasn’t excellent, the main event was amazing, but how it got to be either made no sense, or was just not good. There was too much talking and not enough action for tonight, that is one thing that made the show suffer a little. Loss of superstars to Raw is starting to affect Smackdown! Just a little. The next superstar to go is probably Batista, knowing cross branded rivalries, Batista will make many Raw appearances but Umaga will probably not go to Smackdown! At all. Until next time, or next week if you will. This is THE BOY OF DESTINY saying goodnight everybody and have a good week until next smackdown! But not too good, because hopefully next week’s Smackdown! Will be just a little better with more action than talking or storyline.
