I am told there was a dark match. Although it was not seen on the airing of the show, before the tapings began it was Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Thorn and Kofi picks up yet another victory over Kevin Thorn. Hello and welcome! Another exciting edition of Friday night Smackdown! Coming your way tonight. The theme song hits, how lovely, I get to watch edge and Vickie make out in the beginning of the show already. The pyros hit as Michael Cole and the Coach welcome us to ringside and Smackdown! Is set to begin. It is announced that the Undertaker will take on Zach Ryder, Curt Hawkins, and Edge in a 3-on-1 handicap match. Batista will also be taking on M.V.P for the United States Championship later on tonight. Edge’s music hits and out comes Edge, but not Zack Ryder or Curt Hawkins. The ring is set for another episode of The Cutting Edge, Edge’s guest tonight as announced will be the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Flair’s music hits as he walks out, greets edge and sits down to start the Cutting Edge segment. Ric expresses how disgusting Edge’s relationship is with Vickie Guerrero and calls it a sham. He ends up slapping edge, rather hard. But Vickie breaks up the potential fight. But Edge, very furiously, announces a match for next Friday night. A 3-on-1 handicap match yet again. But this time it will not be against the Undertaker, but against Ric Flair. Vickie then stopped Edge there, and all thought she would turn a little to Ric’s favor. However this was not the case, she said she was liking the idea of the match, but it must be changed a little. She then announced a handicap 3-on-1 match, but inside of a steel cage. Ric Flair v. Edge, Zack Ryder, and Curt Hawkins 3-on-1 steel cage match next week on Smackdown! Jesse and Festus make their way to the ring and it is announced that this will be a 6 man tag team match. Their partner CM Punk then makes his way to the ring. The opponents John Morrison and the Miz then make their way to the ring, I think it is about time they come out as one, they no longer do singles competition. And their partner the ECW champion Chavo Guerrero comes out to the ring. It was a one sided match when Festus got in the ring, but when Jesse or CM Punk was in the ring, Miz Morrison and Chavo seemed to have the advantage. Festus hit is weird finisher that is like a mix of the Full Throttle and the FU. And picks up the pin for the win WINNERS BY PINFALL: the team of Jesse, Festus, and CM Punk! We are then brought backstage to Michelle McCool and Jamie Noble (I am kind of surprised Jamie Noble is still living right now, after all that as gone on with him the past few weeks) and they talk a bunch of non-sense really pointless actually. I sort of tuned out the show at that point because it was meaningless conversation. I think Smackdown showed it really just to waste time until the next match. But what a bad way to do it. The segment was just really bad and really boring to watch. Shannon Moore then comes out accompanied by Jimmy Wang Yang and then Deuce comes out, of course with Domino and Cherry. Moore won the match by pin fall after he hit a super kick on Deuce. WINNER BY PINFALL: Shannon Moore We see Justin Roberts in the center of the ring as he announces the following match is for the United States championship and it is scheduled for one-fall introduced first is your United States champion, Montel Vontavious Porter, M.V.P. this was one of the better matches of the night, it was inside the ring and outside the ring, then again all of M.V.P’s matches are half outside of the ring. It had a slow pace because of M.V.P’s “breaks” but started to heat up when Batista took a huge lead, out in front the battle was taken outside of the ring and Batista was on a huge offensive. But at around the count of 6 from referee Jim Korderas, Batista tried to move the match back in to the ring. M.V.P had different plans however. He was rolled in to the ring by Batista, but when Batista tried to come in to the ring, M.V.P. kicked him out on to the announcers table and referee Jim Korderas got Batista on the count out, M.V.P. picks up the win over “the animal” by count-out and retains his United States championship title. WINNER BY COUNT OUT: and still your United States champion! Montel Vontavious Porter M.V.P. We then go backstage with Jamie Noble and Vickie Guerrero, Jamie talks about how he wants to face Chuck Palumbo tonight, but Vickie explains to him why he can not. Chuck Palumbo is set for a match later on tonight against “the big red machine” Kane. Jamie does some whining like he always does to Vickie before he gets a match with a powerhouse opponent that he can obviously not handle. Vickie does not want to hear it from Jamie and puts him in a match also scheduled tonight. Jamie Noble will go head to head with the largest athlete in sports entertainment the Big Show! Although I still don’t understand how he claims that he is the worlds largest athlete because he is seven feet tall and four hundred eighty pounds yes, but the Great Khali stands at seven feet and three to four inches tall and weighs in at about four hundred twenty pounds. And Big Daddy V stands at at least seven feet, and I do not even want to talk about his weight let alone his just huge mass. It was then confirmed that television personality Kim Kardashian will be a guest at WrestleMania XXIV. A WWE Diva swimsuit competition is next. Featured are Eve Torres, Maryse, Victoria, Michelle McCool, and Cherry. It is announced that one diva will be voted off each week as fans will be able to vote through text messages. It was very short for the usual diva contests, but my mom is probably reading this so I wont go in to detail on it. (There really is not much to say about it though, and mom, I would not go in to detail even if I could so do not worry) one funny part though was in the middle of Victoria’s turn, she climbed up on to the middle turnbuckle and fell straight off. Pretty embarrassing for her, but pretty hilarious for any viewers of the show. Chuck Palumbo makes his way down to the ring as usual with his motorcycle, he seems to be getting more and more on the edge of insanity every week he comes out, whether it be due to Michelle McCool, Jamie Noble, or his new opponent and the beginning of his new rivalry, “the big red machine” Kane. Kane’s pyros then go off and Kane paces down to the ring also as usual, he finally gets a good match in Chuck Palumbo, other than being what he usually is, a stepping stone for young superstars or the “resident jobber” of Smackdown if you will. The match was basically jobbing, but this time, for a change, it was not Kane doing the jobbing, but the horrible seller of moves; Chuck Palumbo. He walked straight in to so many moves after a while it looked like he was trying to get killed. He walked straight in to Kane’s hand, right in to a chokeslam, a thundering chokeslam. Kane’s chokeslams are rather fun to watch actually, it’s very funny to see the guys face right before he is chokeslammed, the opponent always makes some outrageous face, sells it a little too much. But the chokeslam itself is always a great finisher and Kane will be lucky to be remembered by being the guy to perfect to chokeslam, no, not the Undertaker, sometime the Undertaker can not even lift the opponent up 2 inches off the ground, but every single match, Kane lifts his opponent in to the air and does a chokeslam like no one else in the history of world wrestling entertainment has ever done before. WINNER BY PIN FALL: Kane! The next match, as announced will be Jamie Noble against the worlds largest athlete, the Big Show, rather cocky since his comeback, not like he was not before. I was not a fan of world wrestling entertainment when Big Show left, so I never saw him before. But seeing him now, he has great microphone skills, and he is the perfect heel, because of his build. And he is really the only big guy with good microphone skills if you look at it, The Great Khali, Big Daddy V, even the Undertaker. The first two have probably never been on a microphone in their whole entire life, and the Undertaker barely gets on a microphone, and when he does, it’s a pay-per-view promo and he always says the same things. Jamie Noble then makes his way to the ring, looking very scared of what is the Big Show. Big Show then comes out, making his intimidating entrance, I felt like he was going to eat Jamie Noble’s head right then and there, but he did not of course! Noble got himself disqualified by hitting a low blow on Big Show. Probably because he was scared that if the match did not end soon, Big Show would probably kill him, or eat him right then and there like I guessed! Big Show retaliated with a severe beat down that resulted on Noble being busted open, guess Noble had it worse being disqualified than just carrying out the match. Big Show goes and grabs a microphone; he talks to Floyd “Money” Mayweather. He tells “Money” that at WrestleMania, he will break his hands, he will break his legs, and he will break his spirit! Big Show then starts talking about how “money” is scheduled to face Oscar De La Hoya later this year, but Floyd will not be able to attend because he will be so badly injured, and he talks about maybe a De La Hoya, Big Show match, but Mayweather wont be able to, and starts comparing what will be Floyd’s decision, the money WWE is paying Floyd, or Floyd’s career, which if he takes the money, his career will end. This is guaranteed by the Big show, but that was a bad microphone promo, because if Mayweather is scheduled to fight De La Hoya, he will obviously win at WrestleMania, way to give out a spoiler Big Show, you just ruined your match at WrestleMania and all the fans have just lost their anticipation in who is going to win! The next match is announced to be the 3-on-1 handicap main event for tonight, it will be Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, and the “rated R superstar” and your world heavyweight champion, Edge! Against the “phenom” the “dead man” the Undertaker! The match is a tag match though for the three, so Edge, Zack, and Curt could not be in the ring all at the same time, they had to tag in and out, which I think defeated the whole purpose of it being a handicap match. It was a high intensity match, with the Undertaker giving a beating to the Edgeheads, Edge stood by and watched it for he was all in favor of this beating as long as it was not he who was receiving this beating. It was a very long match, and when everything was in the Undertaker’s favor, He hit a double chokeslam on Ryder and Hawkins, but has he looked up after throwing them to the mat, Edge hit the Undertaker with what would be a MORTAL, spear.... WINNERS BY PIN FALL: the team of Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, and Edge that’s it for tonight’s Smackdown! Until next time this is the boy of destiny saying so long! Views: 2,081

I enjoyed the Mortal spear, but thats about it. I disagree with your comments on Nobel being a waste of time on TV. I think any segment with him in it is gold.

I liked the part with big show "eating" jamie noble i thought it was funny you could really imagine that look how skinney noble is and look at "big" big show and i hope that Batista gets like a rematch for the us title on smackdown or somethin i mean no match should end via count out! why do they have count out anyway?

Actually Big Daddy V is quite good on the mic too. But since he's hardly ever on the mic, I don't blame you for not knowing that.
I agree that chokeslam on Palumbo was really funny the way he ran into it and then made a funny face.

Smackdown has become bull..pardon my language.
We all know who's gonna win the 3 on 1..Ric. Why'd I say Ric? An Undertaker popping out of the ground moment. That's retro taker. But no, since we're modern, Ric's gonna get nearly killed.
Skip all the Mayweather/Show stuff..that's just a bunch of bull. I don't even want to watch that part, as everybody knows Show has been a little bit of a jobber at WM. WM21..jobs to Akebono. WM20..jobs to Cena. WM24..jobs to Maywhether. It's like Mick Foley ladies and gentlemen, he keeps coming back for the same boring stuff.
Full Throttle and FU? Look at it closer. More like a Flapjack to something..
That segment was not boring, it payed attention to the soaps going on. Though you can't really call it a soap.
More description on Moore's match would be nice. A superkick? Just a superkick wins a match?
I watched that Kane match. Boring and I couldn't tell what they were trying to do with either one.
Watch that double chokeslam on WWE site. The Edgehead on Taker's left showed us all Taker can not and will not do a TALENTED double chokeslam.
That spear was mortal. Good call. So was the one he pwned CM Punk with on RAW.
You seem to be one of the wrestling fans who writes. I can tell by the way you analyze Big Show's speech.

wheres the new smackdown report? with flair and hbk vs chavo, edge, hawkins and ryder in the cage? anyways edge won, big show met mayweather in a weigh in for their match and big show lifted mayweather and flung him out the ring. jimmy wang yang and shannon moore were used as jobbers against the big show and got decimated. mvp went up against batista in a nodq match for the us title and umaga came in and samoan spiked batista allowing mvp to get the pinfall, more boring crap concearning finlay and jbl, ummm morrison defeated miz for a mitb spot at wm, festus bet someone i cant remember who but i love that guy anyways wrestlemania's gonna and we all know it

Okay... handicap match is -supposed- to be done with tags in and out by whichever side has the extra people. They just never end up working that way. Either it's someone like The Big Slow... er... Show against two small people that he can toss around at the same time, or it's a team of heals that ignore the tags to beat down their target as much as they can.

Batista deserves to be U.S champ,not M.V.P. No one likes him,he thinks he cool because he has a talk show,and he's cocky. Batista,on the other hand,has won the World Heavyweight Championship Title Belt and both the WWE and World Tag Team Championship Title Belts.If he wins the U.S Championship Title Belt he would have won every championship in Smackdown.
