N.O.C. Straight S.U.C.K.E.D. Welcome to the first edition of Snuggy’s Synopsis! Since I changed the name time to change the article title! Straight Blazin might return with a vengeance but for now Snuggy’s Synopsis will be ruling your minds! Lets kick this off with the report of WWE’s Night Of Champions PPV! I was supposed to be attending this live but since I was so displeased with the lineup I sold me and the wifes tickets beforehand.. So this wasn’t a first hand experience im glad to say. Now on with the show!
Now before the first match we had a promo, Which is weird because not too often does WWE start out with a promo at their PPVs.. I think we get enough of that during the week on the weekly shows, but I guess not! Jericho cuts the same promo he has been cutting for the last 6 months telling all the fans they are parasites and idiots and says about how he is the best and blah blah blah. Jericho then introduces his tag team partner who ends up being The Big Show! Not a real big shocker and honestly was expecting more from this then the same old safe bet..
Chris Jericho and Big Show defeat Legacy to retain the Unified Tag Team Titles
Now not only did Big Show not surprise anyone really.. But he was sporting a new outfit that was interesting to say the least.. It wasn’t his typical black singlet.. But he should consider going back to that. Now the match itself was pretty bland and I was very surprised to see the lack of effort seemingly in this match. Chris Jericho looked a bit off as did Legacy. Thought Ted Dibiase Jr is still one of the people that keeps impressing me in the ring.. Hes doing a good job and improving weekly it would seem. But either way the fans seemed to agree that this match was bland as they weren’t into it much at all.
The end sequence seen Chris Jericho nailing the CodeBreaker on Dibiase and Big Show being the legal man and distracting the ref.. Big Show locked in the “Colossal Clutch” on Dibiase and he was forced to tap or die from being squished by Big Show.. They retain the Unified Tag Titles in a very lackluster match that could have been seen on any weekly show.. Surprise was a dud and the match was as well..

Match Review Big Show? REALLY??
Next up CM Punk cut a good promo on Hardy where he was really playing the heel role nicely.. Staying a bit of a tweener but he is definitely flirting with a heel turn in the near future. Nice little set up for what would be the main event of the night.
Christian defeats Tommy Dreamer and is your NEW ECW World Champion
Christian getting his last chance to face Tommy Dreamer to win back his ECW Championship as it was being advertised. This match was as solid as their other matches and was a good back and forth contest. They had fought so many times before that this really wasn’t anything I was looking forward to. It wasn’t a bad match by any means but when you see them go at it so many times it gets to be kind of old.
End segment showed Christian go for the Killswitch only to be reversed into a DDT attempt by Dreamer and it looked like Dreamer would retain his ECW title right there. Christian somehow countered that into a Killswitch and picked up the clean victory of Tommy Dreamer! He got a decent pop from the crowd and still seems to be getting minor heat. Decent match but nothing outstanding..

Non PPV Worthy for sure.. Good to see Christian win the ECW title though..
Before the next match gets kicked off we see a promo between Big Show and Jericho where the basic outcome of it was that this is a strictly business relationship. Show was in it for the gold and etc. Very simple promo that could have been explained on Raw in my opinion.
Kofi Kingston retains his US Title in 6 way match
This in my opinion was the match of the night or very close to it.. Kofi received a mixed reaction and The Miz received a GREAT reaction which was surprising but great. Since I am a huge Miz fan and thinks he is the future of this company. If you look at all the stars in this match it is certainly on paper one of the better looking matches, and it sure delivered. A few good spots included a Double Suplex Powerbomb thing that looked amazing. Swagga hit a gut wrench that looked insane as well as I believe Miz hit a reality check on Kofi. Plenty of close falls and good spots made this match a really good contest.
The end sequence saw Carlito hit a Backstabber on primo and he looked prime to pick up the win and become the new United States Champion! Seemingly out of nowhere Kofi came in and hit the Trouble In Paradise on Carlito and like NOTHING pins Carlito and retains his title. Im not a fan of Kofi Kingston but he has been performing much beter lately.. Good for him

good action throughout the whole match.. Good end sequence and some epic spots makes this a good match and possibly match of the night!
Michelle McCool defeats Melina and retains her Womens Championship
I don’t have much to say about this match.. It was short and very not impressive.. I actually went and got a drink and came back and Michelle McCool was celebrating.. They showed the replay and she apparently had reversed a heel kick into something? Well anyways she wins.. Where’s Gail Kim? The best womens wrestler in the world at? :(

Match Review Boring.. Randy Orton defeats HHH and Cena to retain the WWE Championship
This match for having three of the biggest stars in it was one of MANY things.. For one it was way too early in the show and for another it was absolutely awful.. No one really truly carried this match and there was a lot of confusion it seemed in the match. For three of the best doing it right now I was severely disappointed with how this was. Maybe I was expecting too much.. But I did not like this match at all.
End sequence was the saving grace as I thought it was a good little spot. For SOME reason HHH had Orton in the sharpshooter and it was being effective.. Somewhere Bret Hart was cringing, and while he has this hold in Cena came in and locked on the STF.. A very effective tag team submission move that looked pretty good. Orton the began to tap but the ref didn’t know who to declare the winner and as he was struggling Legacy came down to make the save. Dibiase nailed HHH and took him off of Orton as Rhodes hit Cena. Rhodes went to check on Orton as Cena took this opportunity to put him on his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment. As he walked forward a bit Orton struck like a viper and nailed the RKO on Cena as Rhodes fell HARD. Orton picks up the win as HHH and Cena look on shocked!

Match Review Bad overall match, but a good ending sequence saved this match in my opinion.. Not a bad ending and good to see Orton retain. Miz dumps Maryse.. LOL.. Epic little segment and who knows what will come out of it.. Though they are dating in real life and im sure this wasn’t a real breakup.. Mickie James defeats Maryse and becomes the NEW Divas Champion
Well this was another standard womens match but it was slightly better then the first one. I figured it was time to see Mickie James win a title again and after Maryse just being insulted and thrown to the curb so to speak I knew it was her time to step down. It was an average match and Mickie James reversed something into her DDT and picked up the win!

Meh.. Still wondering where Beth Phoenix is :( Rey Mysterio defeats Dolph Ziggler and retains his IC Title.. Solid little match for the IC title and I am loving Dolph Ziggler aka NICKY!!! And I am hoping they give him a good push with this gimmick. Thought this might be the time to have him shine but I guess not. Back and forth and they didn’t seem to bury him either. Dolph had some good offense in there and held his own against Mysterio.
The end sequence saw Ziggler hit a big Gut Buster and getting a close 2 count. I honestly thought he had that right there. Then he went to take some offense and Rey tripped him and set him up for the 6-1-9. He hit it and his sailing splash and he picked up the win over Ziggler. Didn’t makeEITHER one look bad and I thought it served its purpose well.

Keep Pushing Ziggler!! Jeff Hardy beats CM Punk and becomes your NEW World Heavyweight Champion
Now either Jeff Hardy has been playing us for fools about leaving when his contract expires in like a week or so.. Or this is the WWE’s last efforts to keep him by giving him the title. The match itself was a solid affair and is arguably the 2nd best match of the night or the best. CM Punk looked solid and got a good heel like reaction from the crowd as well as some pops. Jeff Hardy got his usual uber face reaction and the match itself was a nice back and forth contest.
The end sequence saw CM Punk hit a GTS and it looked like it was curtain call for Hardy. CM Punk continued his heel like tendencies when he didn’t get the pinfall he grabbed his belt and walked to the back seemingly ending the match. Jeff got out of the ring and chased him down throwing him back in the ring. Several moments later Hardy hit the Twist of Fate and nailed the Swanton Bomb as every person was on their feet. The ref reached three and the place EXPLODED! Jeff Hardy becomes a 3 time World Champion..
