The Hart Dynasty Pwns n00bs for A Living
Ladies and Gentleman welcome back to the latest Straight Blazin! As usual we will have the results of this past weeks ECW! The show is really starting to heat up with the New Hart Foundation shining through and also Swagga being at the top of his game. Christian and Finlay are holding down the respective veteran face roles and its been heated the last few weeks! But first I wanted to talk briefly about the Denver Debacle.
The Denver Nuggets owner this past week decided that he would not allow WWE Raw to air live from the Pepsi Center because of game 4 of the Nuggets/Lakers playoff series. Now the WWE and Vince McMahon had already arranged for the WWE to be there almost a year in advance. Therefore the owner of the Denver Nuggets overlooked this when he told the NBA what dates the Pepsi Center was free to host in the playoffs. Also, If you think your team will make it to the playoffs why not take the chance and schedule something then? Simple answer, I don’t think he thought his team had it in him.
If you were following on Sportscenter or any other major sport news outlet you know that Vince has been having a war of words with the press about this and the Denver Nuggets and their owner have been silent. I just wanted to say that I think they made a huge mistake that Vince McMahon wont soon forget. They did bad business and then didn’t even have the courtesy to just tell Vince about it until a week before the show/game. Which makes it seem ONCE more that he wasn’t completely sure if his team would make it.. So to sum that all up, GO LAKERS!
Now lets move on to ECW this week! The main vent is announced as The New Hart Foundation with Jack Swagga on their team against Christian, Tommy Dreamer, and Finlay! The show kicks off with the ECW Champion Christian making his way to the ring to address the crowd. Stryker and Matthews are hyping up who he will be facing at Extreme Rules.
Christian cuts a promo and he compares Jack Swagga to a run down TV actor who doesn’t realize his show has been cancelled and he continues to hang around on hopes and dreams. He then calls Swagga out to the ring and says he is going to end his fifteen minutes of fame. Swagga answers the call and cuts a generic comeback promo to Christian mentioning how he is a two time all american and his time is just beginning. Says he will be taking his belt back from Christian and they mouth off before Tiffany comes out to intervene.
She tells Swagga that he needs to get his facts straight about what is going on in ECW and with the title. She says that their match at Extreme Rules will be a triple threat match and that she will announce her opponent. If you didn’t see this coming, then get out, but its Tommy Dreamer! Who said that if he didn’t win the title by the time of Extreme Rules he would retire. His contract HAPPENS to expire the day before and he is granted a one day extension. He either wins or retires and the match will be an EXTREME rules match. Swagga gets thrown over the ropes then by Dreamer and Christian and the two shake hands and seem all good until Dreamer throws Christian out of the ring showing hes ready for the title! Koslov is up next after the commercial break!
Vladimir Koslov this week will be taking on TWO jobbers instead of one this week. Not at the same time though because they have to tag in. This is an interesting way to still build him up as a legit threat and a monster heel. The match lasted about as long as it took me to get a drink and I got to see the end of the match and it was a standard stomp down. Vladimir is being built as a MASSIVE monster and it looks like they have big plans for him.
We see Christian and Dreamer nose to nose in the back yelling at each other about what had happened in the ring. The two go to punches and roll around on the floor and continue to scrap at each other until they are pulled apart by Finlay and others. Stryker and Matthews are hyping that they have to be partners in the main event tag match and how will they get along.
The next match is Evan Bourne v Mark Henry. But before the match we had Stryker cut a little thing about “Do Not Try This At Home” and we seen the ad for the first time on US television last week in awhile. This stems from a 10 year old boy who was imitating Jeff Hardy and paralyzed himself jumping off his roof. So heed his warning and take it from someone who professionally wrestled for quite a few years, Don’t try this stuff at home without proper training!
Anyways on to Evan Bourne v Mark Henry! It is a regular David v Goliath situation where early in the match Mark Henry is just plainĀ DOMINATING Evan Bourne. He throws him around the ring like a rag doll and also delivers some vicious kicks not normally seen from the Big Man. Bourne starts getting some momentum and gets some offensive and I have to hear Tony Atlas yelling from the outside. He goes to get up for the Shooting Star Press but Henry goes to the outsie. He then attempts a Corkscrew Splash onto henry but Henry catches him and goes to slam him into the ring pole. Bourne drops back behind Henry and throws him into it stunning him. Bourne then slides in and hops on the turnbuckle again and he does the thing where he lands with his knees of the side of the opponents head and drives them down to the floor. Mark then gets to a kneeling position as the ref counts to 9, Bourne then proceeds to launch himself into the ring using Henry as a springboard and beats the count picking up the win over Mark Henry!
Before we go to commercial break Stryker informs us that Finlay will NOT be able to compete in the main event. Apparently he is having vision problems and will be unable to compete in the main event. This means that Dreamer and Christian, who were just fighting, now have to work together to overcome the odds in the main event. Im not sure if this is a legit injury or not but I don’t think it is being that it worked too well into the storyline wise. Tiffany announces that it will indeed be those two taking on The Hart Dynasty.
That ALL too familiar guitar riff plays over the speakers and The Hart Dynasty make their way to the ring and they look like a million bucks. This stable right here is the ABSOLUTE future of ECW and the WWE. Natalya gets on the mic and introduces the three of them and explaining their lineage to the Hart name and who they are. She then says how they are apart of something no one can ever be apart of, and then says that they are.. The Hart Dynasty. Only thing that could make this better is if Teddy Hart wouldn’t have messed up his chances in the WWE and we could see him there as well!
The match kicks off after the commercial break and it’s a decent back and forth tag match with a lot of The Hart Dynasty being dominant for the early part of the match. DH Smith is looking just as strong as he did last week with Finlay and is really showing why he is the powerhouse of the team and does some impressive looking power moves. Swagga hit’s the ring and that’s when the momentum shifts to Dreamer and Christian for some reason. The two are working well together and they seem to be in control for the 2nd part of the match until Christian tags himself in and the jawing starts.
Christian does his Springboard Crossbody from the inside of the ring to the outside on Swagga and he rolls him back into the ring for a close 2 count. We go to commercial break with both teams at a slow down point and the match at a steady pace. We come back and see Dreamer and Christian in control and Dreamer is doing a good job of man handling Swagga in the ring. He gets a couple close calls and hit’s the tree of woe. Before he can do too much Swagga reverses a move into a belly to back suplex and gets the tag to DH Smith.
DH Smith comes in and starts assaulting Dreamer and TJ Wilson does a bit on the outside whilst the ref is distracted. DH Smith plays a smart and slowed down offense on Dreamer and he does a good job then TJ Wilson comes in and plays some more of the slow and controlled offense. Dreamer finally gets the momentum back and tries to get the tag in to Christian but is dragged back to the corner and DH Smith comes back in. Swagga then enters in as well and beats up on Dreamer as well. Finally Dreamer gets some momentum while in a bear hug from Swagga and fights his way to the corner where Christian is but Swagga elbows Christian off the apron and goes back in and tags in TJ Wilson.
The heels of the match are now literally OWNING this match and are putting on a hell of a show. Lots of headlocks and submissions from all 3 of them. Dreamer FINALLY reverses a headlock from TJ into a back suplex and gets the tag into Christian who then beats the hell out of TJ Wilson for a little and disposes of both of the other member of the team and hit’s a frog splash on TJ and goes for the cover but DH Smith breaks it up. Swagga then gets in the ring as TJ makes the tag to him and he comes in to the match and hit’s the SICKEST looking Gut Wrench Powerbomb I have ever seen. As he is celebrating Tommy Dreamer attacks Swagga from behind and then The Hart Dynasty proceeds to beat up Dreamer again and celebrate in the middle of the ring and both Christian and Dreamer are laid out in the middle of the ring.
Overall Show Grade: B+
Overall it was a decent show with two above average matches that entertained atleast a little bit. They did a great job of hyping the upcoming match with Swagga, Dreamer, and Christian. Not only that but they made the future of wrestling, and their best thing going, The Hart Dynasty look like champs and get the last shot. All capped off by an AMAZING looking Gut Wrench power bomb makes this show one of the better ones recently. Top notch work!
Stay Blazin!

ECW has dropped the ball bad in recent weeks, but this show was just straight gold. Bringing in the Hart Dynasty period is a sign of interesting things to come, and Henry vs. Bourne was amazing. WWE does alot of tiny high flier vs. big man matches, but even after being desensitized so horribly by seeing the same old thing again and again this thing of beauty had me on the edge of my seat. My only complaint about the match is Bourne might/maybe have over sold a bit, but even that was pulled off well by the spirit of things.
Damn, I'm gonna have to go back to watching 4 wrestling shows a week now. I was getting used to having the free time lol

cus no one asked for your retrded grade.
Seriously, what do you really feel the need to elevate yourself to a pedestal you can never hope to realistically reach on your own? quit being a douche and writing grades like you have a clue about life, wrestling or anything.

I give Johnny's response a B-, because he should've been more snarky in his hate.

When Tiffany came out, there's a guy who's just shouting "Take your skirt off!"
Classic.

There was also the Dreamer dancing thing... it was a bit weird. A cross between Val Venis and Scott Steiner, except he didn't seem to really be pulling it off, just looked a bit on the camp side

I might have gone as far as to give this weeks ECW an A-, just by comparrison of ECW for a LONG time this weeks was much better
The article also gets A-, just because this will annoy edge head, which after berating me a couple of weeks ago i feel is justified.
