Tag Team Domination: Motor City Machine Guns

Ok hello everyone I am The Masked Legend and you are a reader of Tag Team Domination. Ok I am new to article writing. My articles consist of tag teams around the world and I will explain their journey to pro wrestling and their wrestling background etc. So now you know what my articles are about let’s get onto the MAIN EVENT!!!

This week I am writing about the current TNA Tag Team Champions they are…The Motor City Machine Guns.

About MCMG:

Ok Motor City Machine Guns is a professional tag team who currently work for an Wrestling Organisation called Total Non-stop Action (TNA). They are the current TNA Tag Team Champion. The team name Motor City Machine Guns came from the play nickname for Detroit the hometown for both Sabin and Shelley.

Alex Shelley Info:
Height: 5’10
Weight: 215 Pounds
Finisher Name: The Shellshock

Chris Sabin Info:
Height: 5: 10
Weight: 205 Pounds
Finisher Name: The Cradleshock

Ok so we now know that The Motor City Machine Guns are the current TNA Tag Team Champions. So now we wonder what else have they achieved? DON’T ASK ME CARRY ON!!

Previous names by MCMG so if I use them don’t get confused:

The Echo Boomers
Murder City Machine Guns
Panic in Detroit
And of course….MCMG

Origins:
Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley first started teaming up in PRO-WRESTLING ZERO1MAX in 2006, were they become very popular as they took the Zeromax-1 Lightweight Tag Team Championships from Minoru Fujita and Ikuto Hidaka. Holding them for atleast two years and then losing them back to Fujita and his new tag team partner Takuya Sugawara, after returning stateside the pair had runs in independent promotion Pro wrestling Guerrilla and Ring of Honour under the names of Motor City Machine Guns and also Murder City. Machine Guns respectively until their main employer TNA Non Stop Action (TNA) requested their wrestlers to stop taking bookings from other independent companies.

Tag Team of the Year:
TNA now presents Motor City Machine Guns with Tag Team of the Year. *Fall of his seat*.

We are now wondering why MCMG as Tag Team of the Year why not Team 3D they have been around for longer and have had more experience. Let me tell you why Sabin and Shelley are awesome everything they have done was either Spectacular or Outstanding and I think them getting crowned as Tag Team of the Year is a really big achievement for them. What tag team nowadays alongside Sabin and Shelley do you see that does awesome moves in the ring and outside the ring.*Starts Thinking*…NOBODY!

Strange Fact:
It was until April 2007 that the tag team debuted in TNA, Where hence they had been single X Division wrestlers. After showing brief teamwork while wrestling as opponents in an Xscape match at the annual Lockdown Pay-Per-View they became regular in the tag team division, first using the name Murder City before it was actually change to Motor City Machine Guns. After being together for a couple of months in TNA. Kevin Nash became their manager but we have to remember that Kevin Nash had a previous alliance with Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt, though his business with the group was all over.

The Frontline:
We also have to remember that bother members of the Machine Guns were part of the Frontline with A.J Styles, Jay Lethal, ODB, Petey Williams, Eric Young and Consequences Creed. They were all young talent that named themselves the TNA Frontline to take on the Main Event Mafia.

Chance at the TNA Tag Team Championships:
At turning point the Machine Guns received tag team title shot for the TNA Tag Team Champions against Beer Money Inc (James Storm and Robert Roode) but sadly it didn’t work out as they lost after Beer Money Inc manager Jacqueline interfered in the match which caused MCMG to lose their one shot at the titles.

Career for MCMG in New Japan Pro Wrestling (2009):
On January 4th 2009 MCMG became the new IWGP Tag Team Champions successfully beating Naito and Yujiro but there reign didnt last long as they lost to Apollo 55 (Prince Dewitt and Ryusuke Taguchi) at the Tokyo Dome.

In ring wrestling moves:
Now I will be telling you some in ring moves that MCMG accomplish with great skill.

PLEASE DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!

Double Team Finishing Moves:
ASCS Rush it stands for (Alex Shelley Chris Sabin Rush)
Made In Detroit
Skull and Bones

Accomplishments:
*All American Wrestling
Success: AAW Tag Team Championships (1 time)

*New Japan Pro Wrestling
Success: IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions (time)

*Pro Wrestling ZERO1-MAX
Success: ZERO1-MAX Lightweight Tag Team Championships (1 time)

*Total Non-stop Action (TNA)
TNA World Tag Team Champions (1 time, current)
TNA X Division Champions (Shelley 1 time) (Sabin 1 time)
Presented prestigious award of Tag Team of the year
TNA X Division Championship Tournament (2009) – Shelley

These are all the achievements made by MCMG

Outside of Wrestling:
Now as well now Sabin and Shelley are not wrestling freakazoids all the time they have appeared some outside shows lets take a look.
In 2008 the team appeared in an episode of MTV series Made, teaching a school boy the basic of pro wrestling. The two are also members of a rock band named the High Crusade, alongside Petey Williams.

July 11th 2010
GUESS WHAT!!! We have new TNA Tag Team Champions. GUESS WHO IT IS!!!....THE MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS.
Yes Motor City Machine Guns captured the world titles but not all Is good as MCMG are having a best of 3 series. But not to worry after Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley had that awful start they are back up now 2-2.

Nearly Done…

Hey world. It's Phenom The Vampire Lord and my little writing brother asked me what i think about The Motor(Murder)City MachineGuns.

I don't really watch TNA but that tag team is probably the best in the world at the moment! They have great chemistry. And they can make any tag team in the world look good. And by anyone i mean they could make Hornswoggle and Little Bogeyman look like genuine contenders for the titles.

They are amazing athletes and they can also talk the talk!

So, a big thumbs up for the MCMG from The Vampire Lord!

good article about my favorite team! MCMG's are bringing back some much needed buzz to the tag team world. I hear wwe fans talking about them, wanting teams like them on raw and smackdown. TNA seems to be taking more notice to the tag division too. With the momentum and the dynamic chemistry they have, i really think MCMG's could bring about a resurrection of tag team wrestling. keeping my fingers crossed.

MCMG is starting to demand notice, not cus they are the current tag champs but also their clashes with Generation Me. Great matches between those two teamsdont take my word for it watch a MCMG vs Gen Me match and see for yourself. When you do tell me what tag team in the wwe can put on that kind of match.
