The Bouncing Articles By: The Bouncer Yes I know, you all missed me and are very happy that I am back. Over 2 weeks away. Well, in this article I will talk about N.X.T season 2, my thoughts on the Nexus, and what is better between the 2 seasons. I will order which rookie I will talk about by rank, and of course rank them myself. Oh yea, this is a new thing I would use. These are two key terms. Fans: People who know what entertainment is and know what real talent is. Example of fan: Me “Fans”: People who think they are fans. Remember, this one has quotation marks. Example of “fan”: You really think I would give an example?? And before some “clever guy” (someone who thinks they are clever) says something let me say something, I am not a “fan”. I am a fan. Just not a P.G fan #8: Titus O'Neil (Pro Zack Ryder) I have 2 questions. Question 1: Why was there an elimination 4 weeks into the competition (which in case some of you will somehow not know, is only 4 N.X.T shows, duh)? And question 2: Why was Titus O'Neil eliminated? We didn't even get the chance to see his finisher. He was given the second best pro at least. What I have seen of him has been impressive, and so is his mic skills. Since W.W.E decided to have him go first (I doubt they count the W.W.E Universe votes) I have nothing else to say about him. But he is still a great athlete. #7: Husky Harris (Pro Cody Rhodes) The only thing he has going for him is his mic skills. I do enjoy his segments. But they should cut some of Cody Rhodes' (JUST CODY RHODES, I AM NOT GOING TO ADD ANYTHING TO HIS NAME) segments and give the mic to Husky. But Husky's gimmick seems very familiar. Where have I heard of a giant man that they call fast. Like a BULLDOZER!!! Funny, that sounds like UMAGA!!!! Maybe they shouldn't have fired Umaga, but you know, Umaga cannot compete with W.W.E right now. Anyways, Husky should get his own gimmick. There is only 1 Umaga, and he is irreplaceable. His finisher is fine. #6: Eli Cottonwood (Pro John Morrison) NUMBER 6???? WHY IS HE NUMBER 6???? He deserves higher. He could have good feuds with Khali, better than Big Show Vs. Khali. He reminds me of Khali, but he speaks English. Before you guys start calling me a hypocrite, well they don't have the same gimmick. Eli's finisher is creative. I just cannot tell if he is a heel or face. Some say heel, some say face. It may be obvious to some, but to me it isn't. He has the best pro. I would have liked to see him fight Titus, but you know. #5: Lucky Cannon (Pro Mark Henry) He is actually good. At 1st I didn't think I would like him, but he gained my respect. I am not really sure what his finisher is. I enjoyed his match with Cody Rhodes. At first I thought it would be a match where Lucky would get squashed, then hit a finisher randomly and win. I wouldn't have minded who won, just as long as it didn't happen like that, or the other way around. Lucky is someone that will most likely win the whole thing. #4: Alex Riley (Pro The United States Champion and Mr. M.I.T.B, The Miz) Let me 1st say that W.W.E did it again, they did the unexpected. I thought Big Show would win the Smackdown M.I.T.B, but Kane won and made history. I thought Rey would defend against Kane and be the 1st to beat someone that cashes the briefcase in. Then The Miz won the R.A.W M.I.T.B after I thought Edge or Orton (who got Kennedy fired) would have won. Woops got off topic there, well I will go on with N.X.T. Alex Riley is almost like The Miz, but at the same time is very different. It is hard to explain. Finally someone uses the spinning cutter in current W.W.E. Maybe Alex will win and fight Miz for the title after Miz cashes in. That would be entertaining. #3: Michael McGillicutty (Pro The Intercontinental champion Kofi Kingston) Now this is the perfect pairing. The worst rookie with the worst pro. The only things Michael has going for him are his family and finisher. Thats it. He is garbage on the mic. But I have to admit that the “fans” enjoy him, but the “fans” also enjoy Cena and Kofi, that doesn't mean that they are good. Now if fans enjoy them, then you would know they are good. Both of these people are overrated amongst the “fans”. Nothing more to say about them. #2: Percy Watson (Pro M.V.P) His in ring ability O.K, but he is outstanding on the mic. Basically, he is the David Otunga of season 2. Good, you understand. This pairing is good. Maybe one day Percy could become the next M.V.P. But M.V.P is of course underrated by the creative. Percy's finisher is a good one. We don't see that much D.D.T's in W.W.E these days. Even less D.D.T's with Dreamer gone. What can I say, I enjoy seeing a nice D.D.T over a Pedigree. Percy can perform that D.D.T like crazy!! Come to think of it, he is actually pretty good in the ring. I am still wondering who W.W.E would have win. Unlike season 1, this one isn't obvious. #1: Kaval??? (Pros Layla and Michelle McCool [Lay-Cool] Number 1? Why is Kaval #1? Will N.X.T always but the biggest people at #6 and the smallest at #1 for the 1st polls. Has anyone else noticed that? Anyways, Kaval should definitely not be #1. He is actually good, but #1 is too high. I do like his finisher, but he doesn't get nearly enough segment time as he should be getting. They usually have Lay-Cool do all the talking. I think he could carry a match with anyone, maybe even a match against Kofi. But I do not really see him winning. Sorry Kaval. Now let me be brief comparing season 1 to season 2. Season 1 is way better. I just can't really explain why. Well lets compare. Daniel Bryan>Kaval. Michael Tarver>Titus O'Neil. Skip Sheffield>Eli Cottonwood. David Otunga>Percy Watson. Wade Barret>Husky Harris. Enough said. But one thing wrong with season 1. They kept it too obvious. All the rankings were the same from the second one to the last one. Wade 1st, Otunga 2nd, Gabriel 3rd, Slater 4th, Young 5th, and Sheffield 6th. Except the did switch between Slater and Gabriel once. Thoughts on the Nexus? I LIKE IT!!! They are better than N.W.O (had to put it like that or spell check would change it to “now”). The Nexus had me gain respect for Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. Just imagine what they would do with Daniel Bryan still with them. I just dislike where the storyline is going. Why do I dislike it? Because they are insulting John Morrison, Edge, Chris Jericho, R-Truth, Khali, & Bret Hart in a team called the Cenation with John Cena as the leader. I wouldn't consider that giving R-Truth & John Morrison the push they deserve. I consider that punishment for like sleeping with Linda McMahon or punishment for setting Vince's mansion on fire. The question is, what did those 6 deserve to do that? Anyways, the Nexus is a good thing. Now onto how they should be ranked: #8: Michael McGillicutty #7: Husky Harris #6: Lucky Cannon #5: Percy Watson #4: Kaval #3: Alex Riley #2: Eli Cottonwood #1: Titus O'Neil Ah the the hatred rain onto me. YES I AM AWARE WHO I PUT AT WHAT PLACE. Titus and Eli have impressed me. Although they are most likely in almost everyone's bottom 2 N.X.T season 2 rookies. There is just 1 rookie I dislike, all the other ones are good. Here is how it will most likely look: #8: Titus O'Neil (duh) #7: Eli Cottonwood #6: Husky Harris #5: Lucky Cannon #4: Alex Riley #3: Percy Watson #2: Kaval #1: Michael McGillicutty This was actually pretty tough, but Michael McGillicutty will most likely win. Percy Watson will make it to the top 3, but was not sure if either him or Kaval would get #2. I was unsure who would get eliminated 1st between Husky Harris and Eli Cottonwood. I was unsure who would get eliminated 1st between Lucky Cannon and Alex Riley. Titus O'Neil obviously got eliminated already, which sucks. Those are most likely the ones I got wrong, if I got any wrong. Well, those are my thoughts just days before the second elimination. Now watch me be right, or very close to it. What you have to do is think of the obvious decision, and that is probably the correct one, because W.W.E loves to let everyone know what will have way before it happens. They make it seem like they don't, but they make it obvious. Example: Edge winning the Royal Rumble. Another example???? O.K fine. Jericho winning the Elimination Chamber. There you go. Remember, the obvious choice. GOODNIGHT!!

Well, I disagree with a major part of this, but there are some things I agree with. Like, most say that Season 2 is so much better than 1. I don't see it. I'd prefer Season 1 over 2 any day. Here are my rankings (with explanations) of Season 2 thus far:
8.) Husky Harris (Pro: "Dashing" Cody Rhodes)
I don't know, I'm not really into the old school look like most. He is very agile and whatnot, but that's not the kind of wrestler I prefer. I like guys such as John Morrison or Randy Orton. Guys who have a typical professional wrestler's body. Sure, Husky can move around like Umaga, which is a plus... I just don't see him ever getting over with today's WWE audience, and I certainly don't like him. He is pretty good on the mic, and great in the ring, just too boring for my taste. Maybe try a gym?
7.) Eli Cottonwood (Pro: John Morrison)
When he first debuted, I thought, oh god... They stick John Morrison with The Great Khali's American cousin. And, I still do think it's unfortunate that they put a talented guy such as Morrison with a crappy wrestler such as Cottonwood. The name sucks, his wrestling skills suck, and he can't talk to save his life. I don't know what management was thinking when they paired these two up, and more importantly, what were they thinking when they decided to put this loser on NXT Season 2?
6.) Lucky Cannon (Pro: Mark Henry)
My guess is that this guy will be saved most of the time due to looks. Sorta like American Idol, if any girls are going to be voting, they'll naturally pick him. I haven't honestly seen much of him. It was impressive that he won the Keg Carrying Contest I guess. But I was there live, and it looked like everybody else purposely lost. So it's not a real competition. Anyway, He should finish about 5th or 6th.
5.) Titus O'Neil (Pro: Zack Ryder)
He had an unusual taunt, but he was certainly good on the microphone. Whoever the hell wrote the "Make It A Win" line needs to be shot though. It's not his fault. He had alright mat-skills, certainly better than Cottonwood's. But it was obvious from the beginning that he'd be this season's Michael Tarver. Just there to put over the guys that WWE is high on.
4.) Alex Riley (Pro: The Miz)
It's Mini-Miz. He is very talented on the microphone, but that High School Jock Jacket? Really? What is that? He can wrestle pretty good. I do enjoy listening to his promos. I dislike Miz a lot though. I didn't have a problem with Miz until MITB. They give a crappy wrestler the push that John Morrison has deserved for the past 3 years. That's beside the point, I see Alex Riley going far in the business.
3.) Percy Watson (Pro: MVP)
This guy is funny. He will probably get stale after a while like most do. (See Santino Marella) But for now, he's awesome on the mic. As you said, he's not too bad in the ring either. MVP was better as a heel, but Percy seems to be able to play a face very well. I'd like to see a Percy (Face) vs MVP (Heel) in the near future.
2.) Kaval (Pros: Lay-Cool)
He is easily the best in the ring of Season 2. He is this season's Daniel Bryan. Let's just hope his career with WWE doesn't end because of a tie. Anyway, he got the short end of the stick, getting Lay-Cool as his pros. He will probably win, but Percy and McGillicutty could definitely give him some competition. Anyway, I love watching him wrestle. But his voice is very deep.
1.) Michael McGillicutty (Pro: Kofi Kingston)
Before I continue, I'd like to send out a special FACEPALM to WWE, for using "McGillicutty" as his last name. What is wrong with "Joe Hennig"? I mean really? Is this Beulah McGillicutty's son? I mean really. Anyway, he did get a pretty good pro. I mean Kofi's not too bad. McGillictty is impressive. I hope he wins, because he's awesome. And you can call me a:
MCGILLIBUDDY!

Laz, I did the same thing with last season's and I will do the same with every other season (if I can). If you don't like it, too bad. And one more thing, could someone please tell this kid the difference between an opinionated article and a show report?
General, please tell me when I said that.
Trevor, once again you have strong points. And you are a fan by the way. I prettymuch have nothing to say since I would just repeat myself. Well let me sum stuff up.
Eli is like Khali, but has a different gimmick. And it is good to be like Khali since he is good. And there are alot of stupid names in wrestling. Kane?? Have you thought how the name is? Test (R.I.P)?? R-Truth?? Kofi Kingston?? Edge?? Vance Archer?? Does Vance Archer shoot arrows?? In conclusion, alot of great wrestlers have unusual nicknames, and by the way before anyone says anything, Kofi is not a great wrestler.
You don't like The Miz? Well I will not try to convince you since I do agree that Morrison deserves the push alot more, but hey, at least Edge, Orton, nor Jericho won.
McGillicutty is the worst rookie. And I agree, why not use Joe Hennig?

Awesome! You just summed up in an article what I've been doing all season. Good job.

First things first. Why do you think "fans" have less of a right to an opinion than you?
Also, Titus O'Neil was worse than useless in the ring. Couldn't even manage a clean back body drop.

Eli Cottonwood along with the Great Khali are both laughably pathetic in the ring and on the mic. I like McGillicutty and Kofi although Kofi isn't that great on the mic, same for Morrison.
The problem with Titus was that he gave us nothing for four weeks, FOUR WEEKS! If you provide terrible packaging to a terrible product then the reaction you're going to get is going to be just that. Terrible.
By the way, stop pointing out that Orton got Kennedy fired, nobody actually cares anymore.
Kennedy was overrated in the WWE.

Whiteboy, I know you did, EVERYONE missed me.
General, awe am I irritating you? Thank you, I find that as a compliment. Want to know why Titus didn't "get over" with the fans? Everyone only had only a few shows to to so. And do you really think that NXT is not rigged? Just like saying that Cyber Sunday and Taboo Tuesday votes are not rigged.
Kofi's in ring "skills" are crap and his mic skills are garbage.

@Whiteboy: Nice contribution to the topic, buddy.
@The Bouncer: I personally don't think "Kane" and "Edge" are bad names. A better example could probably be "The Miz"...
Anyway, as I've said, McGillicutty is the best rookie IMO. He is a total package. He's got the look, the charisma, the in-ring skills. The only bad thing about him is the name. But many wrestlers have had different aliases so he can always change that up.
Also, I agree with General on the fact that Kofi isn't as bad as you say. I liked him a lot more when he first debuted in ECW, but there's nothing wrong with him. I've always hoped for a Kofi (Face) vs Morrison (Heel) feud.

'Fans: People who know what entertainment is and know what real talent is.
Example of fan: Me
“Fansâ€: People who think they are fans. Remember, this one has quotation marks. '
This section, you're effectively saying that "fans" don't know what's entertaining. It's a point of view, and you're trying to say you're superior to them because of it, and it irritates me.
I know all of the article writers have a more discerning view of each superstar, but the only thing that the WWE has control over in NXT is the outcome of the matches. Whether someone gets over or not is down to them, and Titus O'Neil did not get over with the fans, just like Cottonwood, Tarver and Young. If you can't entertain the masses then you're not going to make it in the WWE and you're rightly going to be released.
I can understand why you might not like McGillicutty, he doesn't really seem worthy of the winning streak, but I've really got no idea why you like O'Neil so much... I mean, he seemed like a really nice guy at the end, but he didn't show even a little bit of that charisma during his time actually in the show. The only singles match he had was so full of botched moves it was like watching a kid in the ring. Send him back to the minors for a few years to sharpen his game, and maybe he can come back.
And seriously, what do you have against Kofi? He's not a top superstar but he's more capable than most of the people you seem to want pushed - Ryder, Shad and JTG in particular

I saw someone bag on Eli's skills in the ring? Really? Alright, I'm not trying to be mean, but go watch his FCW matches. He's solid in the ring, despite his oddly poor performance in NXT.
