Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to tonight's PPV...
THE FIST PRESENTS WWE'S BREAKING POINT!
MATCH #1 IS FOR THE UNIVERSAL TAG TITLES
CHRIS JERICHO & BIG SHOW (c) VS. MVP & MARK HENRY
It starts off with MVP stalling and showboating while taking care of Jericho. As MVP tags out to Henry, Jericho leaps to Big Show to get out of the way. Henry goes for another body slam on Big Show, but Jericho hops in and knocks Henry over. As Show and Jericho collide with a pair of clotheslines, knocking each other over, forcing a hot tag from both men. MVP comes out hotter and lands a Ballin' on Jericho for a 2 count. Jericho gets a blind tag made to Show, who spears MVP. Show and Jericho work on MVP until he counters a suplex with a DDT. He makes the hot tag to Henry who catches Jericho mid-flying cross body, lifts him over his head, and press slams Jericho. Henry goes for the pin, but Show kicks him out. MVP knocks himself and Show out of the ring with a clothesline. Jericho tries for a Codebreaker on Henry, who catches him in mid air. The look on Jericho's face here is priceless! Henry lifts Jericho up and higher over his head, and as Henry gloats, Show lands the KO punch on him. Jericho makes the pin.
WINNERS - CHRIS JERICHO & THE BIG SHOW
Match Rating - 5/10
I enjoyed the look on Jericho's face, but the match was fairly predictable. I think a KO punch as a tag finisher is kinda silly though.
Legacy come in for a discussion about how they're not submissionists, but they are mean enough to do whatever they want to.
MATCH #2 FOR THE US CHAMPIONSHIP
THE MIZ VS. KOFI KINGSTON(c)
The Miz begins with a series of kicks, into a headlock. He tries for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Kofi counters with a roll-up for a near fall. Kingston sputters a slight offense, before Miz takes it back up. Kofi counters a whip to the corner with a hop over to the apron, but as Kofi climbs up, Miz kicks his legs out from under him. Kofi tries a counter with a crossbody, but Miz kicks him out if it midair. Miz goes for what looked like a German Suplex, but Kofi spins and knocks Miz out of the ring. Kofi looks like he's trying for a suicide dive, but Miz dodges, and recovers by pulling Kofi's legs out from under him again, knocking him to the floor. Miz rolls him back inside, lands probably one of the best double axe handles I have ever seen, and gets a 2 count. Kofi pulls back and tries for a Boom Drop, but Miz counters it by lifting his knees. Miz goes for a pin, but the two go through a series of pins, to no avail. Kofi lands a flashy DDT and then a Boom Drop for a 2 count. Miz tries for a neckbreaker, but Kofi pushes him away and lands a Trouble In Paradise for the 3 count.
WINNER - KOFI KINGSTON
Match Rating - 7/10
I've not experienced much Kofi or Miz, but this was a nice fight all the way through.
MATCH #3 IS A SUBMISSIONS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH
DEGENERATION X VS. LEGACY
During DX's intro... they mentioned something about a screw job. I wonder if this will come back to haunt us later in the PPV?
DX starts with chop blocking both members of Legacy, and continued work on their legs. DX leads Legacy out of the ring, up into the concourse, as they maintain control. DX both put in Figure 4's, but Legacy kick the other memeber out of their own hold. DX regains control as they start leading them back down the stairs back to ringside. HHH gets a chair and sets up Rhodes for a boston crab, as Michaels puts on a camel clutch upon the chair! DiBiase makes the save. DiBiase get the match back into the ring, but HHH lands a spinebuster and goes for a front facelock. Rhodes makes the save. Michaels comes in, only to almost get tossed out. Instead he hangs on and flips back up to toss Rhodes of to the ring. As he flips himself back again, he catches DiBiase this time, but DiBiase pushes Michaels to the floor instead, where Rhodes goes for a submission of his own, but HHH makes the save. HHH and DiBiase fight in the ring, while Michaels and Rhodes battle outside. Rhodes knocks Michaels out of the rafters onto a pile of boxes. HHH, whilst full of rage, tries taking out Legacy solo. HHH gets led backstage, as Legacy double teams HHH. HHH lands a slam on DiBiase through the food services table, while Michaels start to stir. Legacy moves out after Michaels, but not before landing a chair shot on HHH's head. Michaels gets led to the ring, and tries to pull himself back, even after landing a Sweet Chin Music and a figure 4. It was no match for Rhodes with a figure 4 using the ringpost as DiBiase locks on a Million Dollar Dream from behind. Michaels has to tap.
WINNERS - LEGACY
Match Rating - 7/10
Once they stopped moving up and down the arena, it really picked up. It looked like Michaels might have come out of it quite a few times, but it simply wasn't in the cards.
The backstage announcer talks to Randy Orton about Legacy's win over DX. Instead, Orton talks about how he's going to "smoosh Cena into paste." The words "I Quit" come up a bunch.
MATCH #4 IS A SINGAPORE CANE MATCH
KANE VS. THE GREAT KHALI
Khali begins mauling Kane with his chops, before both men get their own sticks. Khali comes out ahead in the swordfight, but as soon as the match heads outside (from Kane running) Kane gets a stick and starts wailing on Khali. As Kane goes to taunt, Khali grabs Kane by the throat, but Kane lands a few more cane hits. Khali catches one of the sticks before ripping it from Kane's hands, and landing his big stupid chop for a 2 count. Then Khali goes for the vice grip, but Kane gets a cane and lands a triplet of cane hits to Khali's head, to finish it up with a top rope cane to the dome of Khali. Ranjin Singh tries to save his brother with a hit from behind from his own cane. Khali comes for the save, but as he investigates his brother, Kane lands a guillotine with the cane to Khali. One Chokeslam to Khali later, and Kane wins.
WINNER - KANE
Match Rating - 4/10
*Any* two people in the WWE could have made this match better.
CM Punk lets everyone know he's never going to fail as the champion. He's never going to be like "the total drug dealing Jeff Hardy either". Then Jimmy Yang Wang tries to spook Punk by turning off the lights. The reward is a red assed beatdown.
MATCH #5 IS FOR THE ECW CHAMPIONSHIP
WILLIAM REGAL VS. CHRISTIAN (c)
Christian starts up in control of the match, and tries for his Killswitch immediately, but Regal gets out of it and asks if "You think I'm stupid?" Yes, we do. Christian gets the match going, but as he goes for something from the top rope, Regal pushes him off and out of the ring. Regal slows the match down with a series of locks. Every instant that Christian tries for a counter, Regal gets out and puts back on another hold. Christian tries for another Killswitch, but Regal lands a Regalplex, but Christian counts out at two. Christian recovers faster and lands a missile dropkick, then tries for another one, only for Regal to sidestep. Regal does a rolling senton for another 2 count. Christian dodges a running kick for a Killswitch for a 3 Count.
WINNER - CHRISTIAN
Match Rating - 5/10
When it picked up is wasn't too shabby.
Since I don't speak French, I'm going to assume the next guest, Pat Patterson started swearing as the crowd. That would explain why Dolph Ziggler came out and beat him up. Morrison came out for the save though.
MATCH #6 IS FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP AND IS AN I QUIT MATCH
JOHN CENA VS. RANDY ORTON (c)
The match fires off with Cena dominating in the ring, until a missed jumping shoulder block gives Orton an opening. He knocks Cena from the ring, and hits him in the head with a monitor. Orton the lands another DDT from the second rope. Orton sets up a chair and tries for an RKO onto it, but Cena gets out and lands a shoulder block. Cena lands the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, and goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Orton grabs the ropes and gets out and drops Cena's neck on the top rope. Orton throws Cena into the steel steps, and then chooses to smash Cena's head with them. Orton stomps on Cena's head on the steel steps a few times, as the ref asks is Cena wants to quit. Cena declines. Orton goes under the ring and pulls out a pair of long handcuffs, and wraps the key around his neck. Orton then locks the handcuff to Cena and the top rope. Orton asks for the microphone and bops Cena on the head. Orton then handcuffs Cena's hands together, and wraps him around the ringpost. A beating occurs, then Orton gets those Singapore canes and smashes him over and over. Then, as Orton goes to choke him, Cena kicks Orton in the groin. As Cena goes to attack Orton, Orton grabs a nearby chair and cracks it into Cena's head. Orton handcuffs Cena to the bottom turnbuckle outside of the ring and Orton goes for another chair shot, but Cena dodges and lands a back body drop. He gets the key from Orton and handcuffs himself to Orton. He drags Orton back into the ring, and goes for the Attitude Adjustment. Orton counters with an RKO. Orton tries desperately to grab the keys, but instead locks on the STF forcing Orton to say I Quit.
WINNER - JOHN CENA
Match Rating - 6/10
This, like the cane match, was a lot of weapon shots.
MATCH #7 IS FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
THE UNDERTAKER VS. CM PUNK (c)
Punk starts off with some dodgy moves, until he corners the Undertaker and with a slight beatdown in the corner. As Punk showboats, Undertaker tosses Punk out of the ring, and after a few more strikes, throws Punk into the barricade. Undertaker tries a running knee, but Punk dodges and pounds on the Undertaker with a pair of chair shots. Punk follows Undertaker back into the ring, but Undertaker lands a few strikes in of his own. Undertaker tries for the the Walk On Ropes, but Punk knocks his feet out from under him, and then lands a superplex on the Undertaker. They both get to their feet and begin to exchange punches and kicks, but Undertaker gets the advantage. Undertaker goes for a chokeslam, but Punk lands a roundhouse kick to get out of it. As Punk goes for the Anaconda Vice, Undertaker gets the Hell's Gate locked in, and Punk taps out quickly.
WINNER - THE UNDERTAK---
Nope. Teddy Long comes out to tell everyone that submission was banned, and therefore unable to be used. The match has to restart right now! Punk leaps back into the ring with an attack from behind. Undertaker goes for the Last Ride, but Punk gets out of it and chop blocks Undertaker and locks in the Anaconda Vice. The ref immediately calls it, and both he and Punk *quickly* exit the ring.
WINNER - CM PUNK
Match Rating - 4/10
Not that thrilling, but there's that screw job DX talked about earlier.
Teddy Long stands at the entrance as Punk celebrates as the Champion as the PPV fades to an end.
PPV RATING - 5/10
Fairly Meh. I think everyone else will agree with me there. I'll see you next time for The Fist Lays The SmackDown!

It could have been a great PPV but several things marred it. The I Quit match for me was a case of not Cena or Orton saying I quit, but a chance for the audience to say I quit and not watch. I pray we now get another challenger other than captain headlock. For an I quit match, the pace was way too slow.
The new screw job, why? IT SUCKED!
Been there, done that and as for Kane and Khali, watched the first minute and thought nope, screw this, I'd rather have a lobotomy.
However Mizz vs Kofi was a lot better than I thought it would be, I think Miz is a decent enough wrestler and I think I could live with him being US Champion

the I Quit match was the best match on the card. I couldn't think of anything more brutal or damaging that Orton could do to Cena..
Orton can really make his moves seem deadly
