The Raving Reports

What all the kiddies want for breakfast! Join the Rave!”

Issue #2 : “The Rookies Come Out At Night …”

Back and bringin' the rave at full force. Let's get right to it.

Promo #1

The show kicks off with Teddy Long and Bret Hart hyping the first special 3-hour “Viewers Choice” episode of Raw. Hart tells the fans that everyone scheduled to fight in the WWE Championship match at FFW will have a stipulated match against opponents of the WWE Universe's choice. Orton comes out, and he tells Hart that he wants to fight Edge, and that he'd get Edge one way or another. Edge comes out, and agrees that Hart should make the match. Hart decides to give Orton the match, but the attending fans would get to choose the stipulation. It ends up being named a One-Arm match by unanimous decision, in which Edge would face Orton with one hand behind his back. Edge tries to protest, but Hart just replies by saying “... the fans have spoken.”

Commercial Break

Chris Jericho v. Big Show – Viewers Choice

To Jericho's dismay, the match is voted a Body-Slam Match. First to execute a body slam wins.

Who's idea for a match was that?

Show displays his size advantage and controls the match easily. He basically throws Jericho across the ring before Jericho strikes a comeback. Show misses a KO punch and his chokeslam, but after a crossbody attempt from Jericho he's able to body slam Y2J for the win.

Winner: Big Show

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

Show continues the beatdown on Jericho, making him tap before tossing him out of the ring. By doing so, he basically beat Jericho by all three stipulation choices (Submission Match, Over-The-Top-Rope).

Commercial Break

??? v. The Hart Dynasty – Viewers Choice

As said by MANY other people, there aren't many tag teams in the WWE … so now there digging from the bottom of the barrel.

Choices Were:

  • The Dudebusters

  • The Usos

  • Hornswoggle & The Great Khali

And the winners: Hornswoggle & The Great Khali with 56% of the vote.

Khali starts off the match for his team, and just like the Big Show he dominates over the much smaller opponents. Khali's able to slam down Tyson Kidd before tagging in Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle goes for a Tadpole Splash but misses allowing Kidd to roll 'em up to win.

Winners: The Hart Dynasty

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

The Usos come down to the ring and the two teams brawl. THD is able to best The Usos this time though, and send them down to the ramp before sharing a few words.

As the two finish, Jerry Lawler talks about some problem, and walks off from the announce table.

Commerical Break

Promo #2

The show resumes with Lawler and members of the A-Team trying to resolve Lawler's “problem”. Apparently, he's lost his crown.

*sighs*

Rampage Jackson of the A-Team (UFC) says that he watches Raw all the time and that he knows who stole the crown. He and another member of the A-Team run off to find the culprit.

Promos theses days … but the next “match” was a little better.

Santino Marella v. Vlad Kozlov – Viewers Choice

Choices Were:

  • Arm Wrestling Match

  • Singles Match

  • Dance Off

And the winner: A Dance Off with 84% of the vote.

Marella goes first, and jumbles across the ring like a druken monkey. Literally. Kozlov comes in to save the day, moon-walking and roboting his way to a fan approved victory.

Winner: Vlad Kozlov

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

The two frolic around the ring after the match. Marella tries to jump into Kozlov's arms just gets shoved to the mat.

I can no longer take Kozlov seriously.

Eve's able to narrow the heels down to Jillian and Maryse. The two heels team up though and take out Eve, just before Maryse betrays Jillian and takes her out too.

Winner: Maryse

Rating: ★★☆☆☆

Promo #3

Sheamus and Kane are seen talking backstage. Kane accuses Sheamus of taking out the Undertaker on Smackdown. Sheamus says that he doesn't waste time with sneak attacks, and that if he really did take out The Undertaker the whole world would've known by now. Even R-Truth's “Lie Detector” could've picked that one up.

Choices Were:

  • Kane

  • Mark Henry

  • Evan Bourne

And the winner: Kane with 88% of the vote.

Sheamus doesn't look too ready for the match as Kane comes down to the ring with that usual sinister smile. Despite his look, Sheamus does decent work on Kane to start off the match. He goes on to powerslam Kane and knock him down before a commercial break.

Commercial Break

The match resumes with Sheamus still in control. Sheamus is able to knock Kane down a number of more times before Kane comes back strong and knocks Sheamus out of the ring. Sheamus, seeming not to care much anymore lets the ref count him out.

Promo #4

And now for another promo for the not-so-great Hall o' Fame!

The A-Team, still looking for the crown approach Ted DiBiase and Virgil. They say they know that Ted stole the crown just as “IRS” walks in wearing the crown. “IRS” says that the crown is his since Lawler never paid taxes on it. Then, the randomest moment ever happens as gas breaks out in the ring. Ted, Virgil, and “IRS” all have masks whilst The A-Team don't. A member ends up passing out as the next match preps.

  • Mark Henry

  • Evan Bourne

And the winners: John Morrison(Truth) w/ 54% & Zach Ryder(Miz) 45% the vote.

Edge leaves Orton laying in the ring after a couple of shots to Orton's injured shoulder with a steel chair. He goes out smiling while Orton's left wincing in pain.

Winner: Matt Hardy

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

Matt continues the fight and pulls at Drew's hair. Drew's able to escape the ring, but not before Matt's able to yank out some strands of hair.
