do you want to try the wrestling game ?

The TNA Spin: 8/7/08

Last week on Impact it was very heated and I say that because you had AJ being beaten down by Kurt, you had Joe knocked out again, and you also had the tension between Beer Money,Team 3D, Cage Rhino, LAX all go down, plus you saw Tomko try to attempt to show something against Matt Morgan. But this week its more heated, and more exciting, prepare for a 120 minute adrenaline rush!

-The Show Opened with the Video Game style of it happening-

-Traci made her way to the ring to referee the Bimbo Brawl match-

-Bimbo Brawl: Jacqueline vs Roxxi-

Roxxi and Jacqueline brawled all over, and the action eventually led to the outside of the ring. Roxxi Irish whipped Jaqueline hard into the steel steps which looked like a mess up because it looked pretty bad. Jaque barely got anything going and Roxxi ended it with a Voodoo Drop to win it!

-Winner: Roxxi-

-Match Rating:2/5-: In my eyes it was a boring match, no storyline going into it. But I'm surprised Jackie jobbed like that and lost in about 4 to 5 minutes.

-Backstage with Cage/Rhino-

Lauren asked Christian why he'd want to take a chance on going through a glass table again. He said he'll never forget the four hours he spent in the emergency room as doctors pulled glass slivers out of his back over and over. Cage said Team 3D can call themselves the best tag team ever because he decided to become a singles wrestler. He said now he's teaming with Rhino regularly and they're threatened. Cage said they're trying to stop them before they knock them off the mountaintop. He said tonight on Impact, he has another chance to end their careers in an eight-man elimination match, and if not, they can try against at Hard Justice in a New Jersey Street Fight. Rhino pulled the mic out of Lauren's hand and said, "Back up, toots." Rhino blabbed on about what are they going to do when they Get a GORE GORE GORE through a table.

-Commercial Break-

The show came back onto Super Eric telling Val he knows where her ring is. She asks where is it? Eric replies by saying The Guru. Val defends Sonjay and says he would never do that. Eric tells her if she sees Sonjay she'll see her ring.

-Curry Man vs Sonjay Dutt: Humiliation Match-

During the match Val came out and asked Dutt where her ring was, he got caught off guard, but managed to come back and catch Curry with a roll up and put his foot on the ropes to get more leverage to win it.

-Winner: Dutt-

-Match Rating:0/5: Only a two minute match with former Christopher Daniels, sheesh boring-

-After the Match-

Val asked Dutt for her ring. Dutt denied even having it. As Dutt was heading towards the back, Shark Boy cut him off and beat him down into the ring. Super Eric came out and press-slammed Dutt. For the first time of wrestling grossness Super Eric went down the front of the tights of Dutt and pulled out the missing ring. Val looked all sad she cried. Dutt said when she visited him at the hospital, the ring fell into his hospital bed. He said he picked it up and had it ever since, under his pillow every night before he went to bed. He said perhaps subconsciously he felt she dropped it on purpose as a signal that she was going to leave Jay. He said it was wishful thinking on his part. She screeched, "Why did you not give it back to me?" Dutt said she knows how he feels about her. He said he's absolutely thrilled she got it back. Val accepted a hug from Dutt. *And of course she's a blonde with red hair.*

-Backstage with Beer Money, Team 3D-

Brother Ray ranted about how having a regular tag team wrestling match is boring and insulted Lauren with sexual reference. He said that he and Devon were the best tag team in the world and that Beer Money is the future for when Team 3D is out of wrestling Beer Money will take their spots up at the top of the tag team division. Ray told her " We Drink, We Fight, We F^#$." *Shockingly I"m surprised they even let them say that at all in interviews*  Ray continued by saying Rhino has an X on his back and its going through a glass table. James Storm took the mic as Ray drank his beer and said " Sorry About Your Damn Luck"

-Commercial Break-

-Video Vignette of Sheik Abdul Bashir-

He said as the price of gas climbs, so does Americans' hatred and his contempt for them. He said Americans think everything is free with their chests puffed out and arms held high. He said the world is getting revenue by putting the screws to their pocketbooks. He said American's can't get enough oil, so not only do they gobble up the world's oil supply, they're polluting more than anyone else. He said the slogan should be: "America: One nation under the dollar with greed and corpulence for all."  *I don't care if wrestlings fake and its just a storyline, I hate how this arab is criticising our country and saying crap about us, its bull and just like with the Muhammed Hassan thing it shouldn't be allowed*

-Motor City Machine Guns vs Machismo and Creed-

Machine Guns used their tag team dominance and speed to dominate for a little bit, Creed managed a comeback and caught Alex Shelly up into a roll up and got the win!

-Winners: Creed, Machismo

-Match Rating:3/5: I love MCMG style of speed, and agressiveness, too bad they are not tag champs!-

-After the match: The teams shook hands, then Shelly shoved Creed and walked away-

*I smell a heel turn on the rising for the MCMG or a break up of them*

-Karen's Angle-

Karen's guest was Frank Trigg who immediately asked why she's been sleeping with AJ and for how long. She told him to leave her personal life out of this. She asked how he got into the MMA: He said he got started in MMA "to support his wrestling habit" and that it was hard but he had a supportive wife*This is leading somewhere* Karen asked how he met Kurt. He kept hinting about her and AJ so she said knock it off and Frank asked for a kiss and Karen yelled for them to turn the cameras off. Trigg nailed the Camera man with a shot and told her that Kurt is the future and is the present franchise of this business and what he says goes. She told him he was really pathetic.

-Commercial Break-

-Backstage with Kurt Angle-

Angle said he's a wrestler - the best-ever, period. He said he's going to hurt Styles at Hard Justice. He said he took him under his wing and "turned a nobody into a somebody." He said then he went and slept with his wife. He said he can't get that vision out of his head. "You spit in the face of an Olympic Gold Medalist. That's like spitting in the face of every American troop who fights for our country." He said it's personal and he's going to hurt him. "The pain game starts tonight. It's real, it's damn real."

-Commercial Break-

-The Beautiful People Backstage-

Angelina Love said Lauren disrespects them all the time. She said it's not worth beating her down and bagging her because they have bigger sl&^s to fry. Love went on to cut a nice promo about the carnage they have planned for their opponents at Hard Justice. Velvet Sky closed by kissing the camera and leaving lipstick behind

-Beer Money, Team 3D vs Cage/Rhino, LAX-

The match started with everyone brawling all over, Rhino took people out with Gores as Cage/ LAX dived onto everyone.

-Commercial Break-

Heels had a bit control until Cage spit Beer in Storm's face and Homicide hit the Greengo Cutter to pick up the win!

-Winners: LAX, Cage/Rhino-

-Match Rating: 4/5: Good action, LAX looks really good now that TNA has given them main event pushes-

-After the match: Storm Roode Team 3D beat down Cage/Rhino and LAX.

Beer Money gave Homicide a Powerbomb through a glass table. Homicide only had a little cut on his arm, but the meds came down and made the towels look really blood soaked.

-Commercial Break-

-TNA Rough Cut with Taylor Wilde-

She said she earned respect by fighting from the bottom up. Gail Kim said there's a target on her back. Traci said the same. ODB said she has to step her game up. Roxxi said she's not jealous because it's such a big responsibility to represent all of them. She laughed and said she can have that. A recording aired of Bill DeMott, her trainer, again. Taylor said she wants to enjoy the moment for what it is, but also prove she's here to stay.

-Salinas vs Awesome Kong-

Salinas got into the face of Kong and she ducked Kong's clothesline but didn't manage too long before shortly being destroyed by an Awesome Bomb for the win. The Beautiful People got in the ring and cut a promo and asked Kong to do more. Kong hit like a Reverse PowerBomb Facebuster type move. Love went on and told Velvet she knows what to do. Velvet got a chair and Kong went to Awesome Bomb Salinas on it but Gail Kim, ODB, Taylor Wilde ran out and all had a chick fight with TBP and Kong. Kim, ODB were out of the ring and Taylor got hit with a massive clothesline by Kong from the top rope on her way down. Kong went to give Taylor an Awesome Bomb onto the chair but Abyss's music hit and Wilde rolled out of the ring all lifeless. Abyss got in the ring and stared down Kong, Kong got out and Raisha Saeed got in and hit Abyss, Abyss got mad and gave her a Black Hole Slam.

-Commercial Break-

-Backstage with Booker/Sharmell-

Borash talked about the match stipulations of the match tonight and at Hard Justice, then asked Booker if he'll have the belt next week. Booker reiterated that he's told everyone that Joe can't beat him. He said Joe punished him last month, but he proved Joe couldn't take him out because he's still sitting there "as TNA World Heavyweight Champion." Booker said he's going to hurt Joe like he's never been hurt before. He said he's come to TNA for one reason - to prove he's the best without a shadow of a doubt. Borash asked if Sting would be there. Booker said Sting wouldn't miss this for anything in the world. He said the real Batman is going to show up tonight as well as at Hard Justice. Then he and Sharmell sipped some champaign along with Borash to a toast from Booker going "TO ME".

-Samoa Joe Speaks his Mind-

Lauren interviewed Samoa Joe backstage. She told Joe that Booker says Sting plans to show his face tonight. Joe asked why Sting couldn't show his face the past three weeks and why he's tossing his baseball bats around. Joe said Sting isn't an icon, he's a coward. He said when he gets his hands on him, he plans to turn his "white clown make-up red." He said he showed mercy for Booker T last month, but no more. He said the champ is coming for his belt and there is nothing he can do about it.

-Commercial Break-

-AJ Styles with Borash-

Borash told Styles he's never seen Angle so motivated and driven. He asked Styles if he thinks he's prepared. Styles wanted to know how Angle could say he was a nobody. He said he was one of the young guys who helped build TNA six years ago. He said if anything, it was Angle who jumped on the bandwagon. He said he looked Kurt straight in his eyes and told him he never slept with his wife. He said Angle can't seriously compare winning Olympic Gold to the troops. He guaranteed he'd be the last man standing on Sunday.

-Commercial Break-

-Kurt Angle vs Tomko vs Morgan vs Styles vs Joe vs Booker vs BG vs Kip James Weapons Gauntlet match-

The first two in the ring were Angle and Styles. Styles went after Angle as soon as the bell rang. AJ handled part of their little swing and hit a diving forearm smash. After bringing in a ladder, Angle turned the tide with a trash can shot. Morgan and Tomko entered the match. Morgan swung at Tomko with a chair, but Tomko blocked it with a board. Tomko retreated. Morgan chased him all the way to the back. Angle catapulted Styles into a chair propped in the corner.  B.G. James and Kip James came out next. Angle got cut when his skull ran into the ladder. They showed a slo mo replay and it was an instant bleed shot, you saw the ladder hit his skull then right before he hit the ground blood gushed out of his head. The blood flowed out of his head big-time, creating quite a puddle in the ring. It was a lot of blood. Medics checked on him right away, but he was fine to continue. Joe and Booker came out next as Styles hit Angle with Pele Kick. Joe brought some police baton looking thing with him. Booker brought Sting's black baseball bat.

-Commercial Break-

Styles eliminated Angle by ducking as he dove at him. Booker then tossed AJ over the top rope. Angle applied his anklelock on AJ. Referees had to order the bloody Angle to the back. Tomko hit Joe with a chair, then Morgan went after Tomko. Booker poked Morgan in the eye. Morgan came back with a big boot on Booker, then a sideslam on Tomko. Morgan set up a Hellivator on Tomko, but Booker came up behind and, with help from Tomko, he tossed Morgan over the top rope. Booker superkicked Joe as Tomko held him in place. Booker went for a scissors kick, but Joe ducked. Booker got caught up on the top rope. Joe charged and knocked him over the top rope. It came down to Tomko vs. Joe. Tomko gave Joe with a boot to the face. Joe shortly thereafter gave Tomko a MuscleBuster for the win.

-Winner: Samoa Joe-

-Match Rating: 5/5: I loved the action, the blood and effort most of the stars put into the match! Best match on TNA in a few weeks.

-After the Match-

Joe ran a little promo on Booker telling him he'll get his belt back, and after he's done with Booker, Sting is next, Sting's Music came on and camera's looked for him. Sting was up in the rafters pointing at Joe with a bat. Joe shouted at Sting.

-End of Impact-

Overall Show Rating: 6/10:

There were only a few good matches and they were the 8 Man Tag Match, and the Gauntlet.

TNA has made all of their wrestler's entrances TNA video game style, I guess they are just trying to hype up the game a lot. So I'm looking forward to it, and I want to see AJ with that belt sometime in the near future! Until then we'll see you soon for another TNA Spin!

last week wasnt bad and it is good to see reports of shows other than wwe. this week it looks like someone else has taken over.
it is better written than last week but you have skimmed over all the matches like they were in the way, yet quoted the other segments almost word for word.

Ok...personally, this is now the 3rd TNA Impact show that I've seen, and none of them...NONE OF THEM...compare to even ECW from the WWE, let alone SmackDown or RAW. TNA looks every bit the childishly lame and gimmicky program that it is, while the WWE programs at least look professional and well thought out.

I've never seen so much predictable action in my life. That 8-man tag match? Yes, it was full of action, but it was beyond lame. It simply was this "Guy A1 beats up Guy B1. Then Guy A2 enters ring and beats up Guy B1. Guy B2 enters ring and beats up Guy A2. etc etc etc." Even the worst WWE matches that I've seen lately are better than that.

As for those promos? Simply laughable. Totally insanely lame. The only one that was worth my time was the one by Team 3D (aka the Dudleys) and their partners in crime known as Beer Money (I actually like that as a tag team name). The rest was simply horrible acting (sorry, Booker T and Sharmel are HORRIBLE!) and everyone looked like they deserved to be in TNA since they all appeared to be individuals that the WWE rejected.

Overall, TNA is not worth the time for ANYONE to bother writing about it, let alone take the time to inject the quality that writers such as The White Ranger or even Curtis Cash inject into their respective reviews.

    Just my opinion.

So Soddy, Koj Tije Dedo. But TNA adds a flare to the dull and lifeless WWE where John Cena vs. The Anime Bautista is the best you will get. None other. Nowhere else to go. The storylines are better. Now I do agree the wrestlers are the same. At least with TNA, you watch to see who will win next week. WWE is so blah. Who will win with HHH vs.Khali. Who cares. You will pay to find out though, woncha? WWE's best idea for a feud is a wedding? And what about Raw? once again, who cares. When will you see HHH, Bautista, Cena, Khali, Undertaker and say Umaga battle it out in a table ladder and chairs match. You won't. Not even on Pay Per View. Hell in a Cell, Edge vs. Undertaker. You gotta be kidding me. Can the Undertaker still lift his leg up chest high? And Edge is what now, One of the Familia. What kind of Heel is he suppose to be? I thought we were supposed to Hate the guy, not pity him. The Undertaker is more gimpy than Matt Hardy. Now there is a match. Think about it. The Undertaker, immobile vs. Matt Hardy, gimpy vs. The Great Khali, immovable. Take two steps, then take a break. Repeat. Better bring the guns, because no one is going anywhere. Be three minutes of musical corners. Khali is dragging himself by the ropes to the corner that Matt just left. Here comes Undertaker in his wheelchair on the inside corner to take the lead. Bring the ref a chair. And about Monte L Vontaviou S Porte R. Hmmm anybody notice that the three last letters of his name is LSR? Loser. Wonder if they will Play off that line. Oh and for all you CODY haters, buy the WWE magazine and then you can gripe. This is free last time I looked. And anyone who says they watch the divas or the knockouts for the wrestling is full of dedo.

Yeah the match I hated the most was the post-article comments match. One or possibly two people going back and forth with cody-hate pretending to be several different people, and then we end with the classic (and boring) "I hate TNA" versus "I hate WWE" (both using the SAME finishing maneouvre - "everybody should agree with me because I say it's obvious"). Just totally predictable action, and this was the main event? I prefer the other match where this guy told us what happened on TNA. Even with a few mistakes it was tons better than the awful end match I'm now unfortunately part of.
