The Weekly Review

Welcome to the first ever edition of Tkellionaires "Weekly Breakdown". This week I will review the past week in wrestling and whats to come at Genesis!

Monday Night RAW

Top Performer
This weeks top performer from RAW was easily the man who knocked out Chris Jericho... Mike Tyson! It will be his only appearance but thats got to be the most involved ive seen a RAW host in a while.

Best Match
Randy Orton vs John Cena vs Kofi Kingston. The three battled it out to become the new #1 contender for the WWE Championship. It was even throughout until Ted and Cody came out causing a destraction that sprung Orton to a victory over both of his rivals. The RKO will send him into the Rumble to face off with Sheamus for the title.

Best Promo
The Miz showed he wasnt happy about MVP winning the fatal four way and of course tried to make himself sound better than he really is. But MVP came out to shut him up and even though Miz through the first hit, MVP sent him running off. Its about time these two get into a meaningful rivalry.

Main Event
Why wouldnt the main event be the match of the show? Well most RAW main events end in DQ, No Contest, or some twist and this one was a twist in a way. D-Generation X was set out to rage war with Jericho and Mike Tyson. Hornswoggle came out after being threatened to have his intestines ripped out and caused a distraction. When Jericho turned around, Mike Tyson was wearing a DX shirt and decked him the face knocking him out to end the show.

ECW

Top Performer
By far Ezekiel Jackson. He starte his career managing Brian Kendrick and now hes #1 contender for the ECW Championship. And he didnt just sit back but he actually had 3 of 7 eliminations which was the most in the match.

Best Match
Believe me when I say it was easily the Battle Royal but im going to recognize another match. Zack Ryder took on The Hurricane to open ECW and the match was very good for an ECW match-up. It ended when Zack Ryder hit Zack Attack on The Hurricane to earn the three count.

Best Promo
Normally Abraham Washington is the only promo taking up half the show but this week it brought a smile to my face to see it not air. Instead the promo opened the show with Zack Ryder bragging about being the face of ECW and how hes so much better for getting Rosa Mendes. But his "Woo Woo Woo" was interrupted by The Hurricane and yeah... The Hurricane attacked and Tiffany was fast to make the make official.

Main Event
The match that actually made me exited to tune into ECW. Yes I used "exited" which is an adjective meaning looking forward to in a happy way and its not a typo.

The Homecoming Battle Royal included 3 former ECW champions returning to fight for the chance to face Christian at the Royal Rumble. I had my eyes on the two big powerful guys in the match and it showed early with Kane eliminating Evan Bourne and Ezekiel eliminating CM Punk. Then they received help when Shelton Benjamin jumped the rope eliminating not only Varcher but himself as well.

Down to just four and Ezekiel went for the quick elimination on Matt Hardy but he held on to the rope. Ezekiel then kicked the back of his head sending him viciously to the mat. Yoshu Totsu tried a top rope move only to be tossed over to a long fall to elimination. Down to just two and Ezekiel clotheslined The Monster Kane to become the new #1 contender!

WWE Superstar

Top Performer
In my opinon he is one of the most underated wrestlers in the WWE. Chris Masters needs a push and he look great against Carlito. The match was medium pace and had plenty of doces of Masters showing his strength and power. He picked up the victory by Locking in the Masterlock.

Best Match
I didnt watch last week so im not entirely sure when Jimmy Wang Yang returned but he looked pretty good Thursday evening when he teamed with Slam Master J. I like the match but dont like SMJ. Jimmy Wang Yang took this match into his own hands and picked up the win against Charie Haas and Mike Knox.

Best Promo
Superstars was able to fit four matches into one hour so there werent really any promos.

Main Event
Christian is scheduled to take on Ezekiels leader, William Regal. Early on the referee catches Ezekiel trying to get involved and sends him off making the match just one on one. The Ultimate Charisma was able to make a statement to Ezekiel by defeating William Regal.

TNA Impact

Top Performer
After TNA Impact I watched a show called "TNA Epics". It had some great Kurt Angle matches so if you see that show coming up then you should watch it.

To nobodys suprise, this weeks top performer was AJ Styles. He continues to show why he can be considered wrestler of the year and he defended his title against a bigger and more powerful Tomko.

Best Match
Even though "The Band" ended the match in No Contest. Hernandez and Matt Morgan against Beer Money Inc. was a match that stuck out. Four great wrestlers squared off and Hernandez is always fun to watch. Nobody won but it was a great fast pace match.

Best Promo
The best promo of the night was when Team 3D came out furious to there match and won in less than a minute. Afterwards they angrily talked about the Nasty Boyz destroying there lockeroom and called them fat (no room to talk). Team 3D charged backstage and used an axe to bust into there lockeroom only to find it was already destroyed and disgusting enough. The Nasty Boyz then popped out and attacked Team 3D viciously brining back memories of the hardcore days.

Main Event
After Kurt Angle and AJ Styles hit one last promo, AJ Styles was heading up the ramp when he was attacked by a masked man and it wasnt the first time. He took the beating up to the ring where he revealed himself as ex tag team partner Tomko.

Later on AJ Styles charged into Bischoff's office agreeing to put his title on the line if he got a shot at Tomko in tonights main event.

The match is back and forth for a while until Tomko seems to take control and even seems to be getting some unfair three counts. AJ Styles finds a way to comeback and hit some highflying moves to defeat a bleeding Tomko.

After the match Tomko starts attacking AJ Styles but Kurt Angle comes down and saves AJ Styles by throwing Tomko out of the ring. Kurt Angle sticks out his hand but AJ Styles decides to ignore it and head up the ramp alongside Ric Flair to end the show.

Friday Night Smackdown

Top Performer
Hands down it was Chris Jericho. Hes been fighting multiple matches a week for months now and he still manages to come through. With title implications on the line in the Intercontinental race... he was able to stop John Morrison and his highflying attack to pick up the victory.

Best Match
There was alot of good matches Friday Night but theres been a fued for weeks now and this week it was takin to the next level.

Kane and Dolph Ziggler met during the time challenge a few weeks back when Dolph took a cheap blindside shot after the match ended in no contest. Last week Kane came up short being counted out but this week he came through.

Kane rebounded from the Homecoming Battle Royal and was able to break out the sleeper hold, survive some vicious blows, and kick out of the zig zag. It ended with a brutal chokeslam putting Dolph Ziggler out cold.

Best Promo
There wasnt much for promos but there was one speaker that kept you on the edge of your seat and thats The Undertaker. He doesnt talk much so when he does... you know its special and now this Monday Night were gonna find out if HBK is going to get his Wrestlemania rematch after all.

Main Event
This week featured a rivalry thats been going on for months but its was just a little different this time inside of a steel cage.

Rey Mysterio robbed Batista during the time challenge and The Undertaker robbed them both last week so this time there is no interference or running... just to either escape or leave through the door.

The match started with a few escape attempts by Rey Mysterio but Batista was right there at the last second. Batista dominated the match and landed some nasty slams on Rey. But in the end Batista got to cocky and Rey was able to climbs the cage with a lift from the positioned batista bomb.

Rey kicked the cage door on the way down to lock Batista in and secure his title match at the Royal Rumble against The Undertaker.

TNA Genesis PPV Predictions

This Sunday night on PPV... tune in to Hulk Hogans PPV return and heres my predictions for whats set out to be a great night.

Sean Morley vs Chris Daniels
I havent seen alot from Sean Morley yet so im not sure what to expect so im gonna take a safe pick on this one and take the much more experienced Daniels.

Bobby Lashley vs Abyss
Both these men are big but the main factor is that Abyss isnt as fierce as he used to be. I think it will be hard for him to get fired up and Bobby Lashley will take advantage and pull out a victory.

Amazing Red (c) vs ??? (X-Division Title)
Nobody knows who the mystery man is but I have a feeling it just might be Jeff Hardy and if it isnt then I hope its a returning Petey Williams. Either way im taking the mystery man to win.

Desmond Wolfe vs D'Angelo Dinero
I still remember Elijah Burke in ECW and he seems much more well rounded as The Pope in TNA. Look for him to pull off a very close win over Wolfe.

New Superstar Coming to TNA
Two very long words for my prediction... Mr. Kennedy!

Beer Money Inc. vs Scott Hall & Kevin Nash
This is the bands night and there going to prove it with a win over Beer Money.

ODB (c) vs Tara (Knockout Title)- Two Out Of Three Falls
Tara wins on third pin.

British Invasion (c) vs Hernandez & Matt Morgan (TNA Tag Titles)
I like Hernandez's highflying and powerful style of wrestling along with Matt Morgans dominance. They should take the tag titles very easily over a less talented British Invasion.

AJ Styles (c) vs Kurt Angle (TNA Heavyweight Championship)
This is Kurt Angles last chance at AJ Styles belt in 2010 and I think he will use the oppurtunity well. These two rivals have been the faces of TNA for a very long tind this will be a war. If they plan on topping WWE and the Royal Rumble then its gonna have to be one hell of a match and I expect it to be. Its been a while since Kurt Angle has had one of his long reins and I think his next starts Sunday night at Genesis as he takes out AJ Styles!

the Carlito - Masters match was ironic, seeing as they were both borderline main event 3/4 years ago

I would like to note that RVD could be challanging for Reds title. People forgot he supposivly signed a contract with TNA, so what better way for him to get in then that? Also Shannon Moore could also very wel be that competitor. As for the other "big name". Yes Kennedy seems to be the odds on favorite but I have a small feeling it will be someone else and not Sid(who also is rumored to be coming.)

"exited" Actually is a typo. "Excited" Is probably what you meant.

Yeah "excited" is the right way but I thought ide use "exited" because it has the word exit in it also noting that I was ready to turn off ECW at any time :D

But since Abraham Washington didnt show... I was exited to watch ECW lol.

And I think RVD has more of a chance of being in the Rumble then at Genesis. Kennedy will show up but the X Division is normally a high-flyer division (exept for Samao Joe). So im think Jeff Hardy who appeared on TNA just the other week.

I thought the Young Bucks AKA Generation B VS The Motor City Machine Guns was the best match this week, but other then that nice report TK.

Yeah thats why I gave Smackdown and Impact the shows of the week... I had a hard time picking the best matches. The MMG match was good and almost won me over as well as the Morrison vs Jericho match on SD.

Nice article, but one part stood out for me. "I havent seen alot from Sean Morley yet so im not sure what to expect so im gonna take a safe pick on this one and take the much more experienced Daniels." Daniels is not 'much more experienced.' Two years difference between their débuts is hardly anything. Not saying Daniels isn't better, or vice versa, but just saying their experience is about level.

Surprised you didn't go for Generation ME vs. Motor City Machine Guns as match of the week for Impact. First match of the night and it was all downhill from there in my eyes, almost flawless high-flying tag wrestling. If anyone's not seen it, youtube it. It'll be worth your while, trust me.

Yeah Val Venis has been around just as long but I didnt watch wrestling during the WWF era so all ive seen from him personally is a jobber on ECW.

And yeah the MMG vs Generation ME is a opening match and goes to show that the X Division still gots it :D
