Welcome to the home of Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling! Last Sunday was a huge night at Slammiversary and now you can catch all the aftermath, right here on the TNA Report. - The show kicks off and the first one on the air is Eric Bischoff. He says that due to the actions of Scott Hall, the Band has been stripped of there titles and now a tournament will be held to decide who will take on the Motor City Machine Guns. Thoughts: They allow Matt Morgan to hold both belts but they dont let Kevin Nash be the champion with Eric Young? Doesnt make a lot of sense to me but we have a tournament none the less. (4.5/10) - The Band vs Shannon Moore & Jesse Neil- TNA Tag Team Tournament (Round 1) Ink Inc. makes there way to the ring with authority to start off the show but it backfires fast. The moment Jesse Neil and Shannon Moore reach the ring, there jumped on my The Band and its all downhill from there. Eric Young and Kevin Nash full out dominate the match for a solid 5 minutes before there opponents even get a hit in. Jesse Neil finally lands a punch after being beat down and Shannon Moore is in to save the team. Shannon Moore has control over Eric Young until Kevin Nash gets in and changes the pace of the match. Jesse Neil then hits a spear out of nowhere that plants Nash into the mat. Shannon Moore then hits his finisher on Eric Young and Ink wins the match. Thoughts: Not sure about this TNA Tag Team Championship Series but right now Ink has drawn first blood on the tournament. Weak outing for Jesse Neil and the team will be out if he fights like that again but luckily Shannon Moore saved him... this time. I will keep my eyes open but I doubt this team wins again after the worst looking win ive seen in tag team action for a while. (6/10) - Ric Flair and his stable make there way to the ring and Flair says there is about to be a change made in TNA. Chelsea doesnt come out with Desmond Wolfe because she is in the back and doesnt want to go back to Wolfe. Abyss refuses to keep her though. Flair then continues saying he is ready to reform the four horsemen. Those chosen four are Beer Money, AJ Styles, and Kazarian. Desmond Wolfe is the wannabe and Wolfe reacts well for being called that. Flair turns to the ramp and begins to insult Jay Lethal but he is interrupted by no other than Jay Lethal himself. Lethal starts to talk trash about the horsemen and Flair is furious. His face turns red and he starts throwing his shoes off in anger. Jay Lethal continues to mock Ric Flair and the two have a few "woo-offs". They keep the thing going until finally Desmond Wolfe steps up and yells at Jay Lethal. He tells him to stop mocking the legend and then calls Lethal down to the ring. Lethal responds by saying Chelsea said he was far short of 60 minutes and Flair explodes. Flair tells Lethal he doesnt know 60 minutes in the bedroom or the ring. Ric Flair finally gives Desmond Wolfe a chance back into the stable as long as he can defeat Jay Lethal later tonight. Thoughts: To be honest, I think this storyline is coming out alright. Jay Lethal and his gimmick are even more obnoxious then before but it still is all falling together. Solid segment leading into our main event match for tonight. (6/10) - Hernandez vs Samoa Joe The big men stand up to measure there strength and its pretty even. Samoa Joe over powers Hernandez first but it doesnt last. Hernandez throws Samoa Joe and knocks him down with force a couple times before Samoa Joe rebounds. The only reason he rebounds to is because Matt Morgan sneaks ringside and delivers a low blow from behind. Samoa Joe takes advantage and capitalizes by getting the pin. Samoa Joe heads up the ramp after the win but Matt Morgan taunts him from the ring. Now we got three big men all squaring off and its Matt Morgan that bails from the ring. Samoa Joe and Hernandez have a split staredown and its all over. Thoughts: The match was short and the aftermath was even shorter. I cant say there was anything special about this fight but I can say that im excited about Hernandez being back. If Matt Morgan wasnt there then it could have been the end to Samoa Joe's rampage. (4.5/10) - Douglas Williams vs Max Buck The X-Division champion comes out before the match and has a little to say. The basic point is that Williams thinks that the X-Division is dead and from now on its all about mat based wrestling. Max Buck makes his way to the ring and the match kicks off. Williams dominates the match early on and there seems to be no hope for Buck as he takes thunderous suplexes. The only sign of life is when Max Buck hits a nice drop kick but only gets a near fall. His opportunity didnt work and Williams starts the attack back up. Moments later, Max Buck is hit with a tornado DDT and it ends the match. Williams continues the assault even though the match is over. Here comes Brian Kendrick to save Max Buck and Williams never saw it coming. Kendrick locks Williams into a rear naked choke and Williams taps out but Kendrick doesnt release his grasp. Douglas Williams about passes out but security is there to break it up. Thoughts: Terrible match that could have been better. What happened to the olden X-Division days with Petey Williams and Chris Daniels? Must be gone because now the X-Division just isnt as important to TNA. I wouldnt go so far as to say that the X-Division is dead but it definitely needs some revival. (5/10) - Angelina Love vs Lacey Von Erich Lacey Von Erich wins by Disqualification. Thoughts: (N/A) - Team 3D vs Beer Money- TNA Tag Team Tournament (Round 1) The match starts off with a faceoff between Brother Devon and Robert Roode. Devon takes the initiative over Roode early on but Roode finds a way to fight back. He gets back in but Team 3D double teams him with a sidewalk slam. Brother Ray tags in and starts right where Devon left off by beating down Roode. The crowd starts chanting things and it distracts Brother Ray which leads to Beer Money capitalizing by hitting Ray with a clothesline. Brother Devon rushes in to help and now its Team 3D double teaming James Storm. All four men are in the ring brawling and Team 3D gets the best of it. They go to the top turnbuckles to set up for the 3D but Brother Ray backs down when he see's Ink Inc. at the announce table. Brother Devon is left alone in the ring and gets sprayed in the face which means match over for Team 3D as Beer Money picks up the pin and bails backstage. Thoughts: An intense victory for Beer Money but I think Team 3D should have had this one. It was ironic that Brother Ray got distracted from the crowd because it doesnt matter what professional sport it is... you have to ex out the fans. It didnt ultimately cost them the match but it could have. So called greatest tag team made a big mistake by leaving one member in the ring with two opponents. Better luck next time Team 3D. (6.5/10) - Desmond Wolfe vs Jay Lethal The match starts and here comes Tommy Dreamer charging down the arena steps. The match is still going but the camera and crowd are focused on Dreamer. Desmond Wolfe leaves the ring but is caught by a huge clothesline from Jay Lethal. The fight goes back in the ring and Jay Lethal hits a leg lariat followed by a cutter for the victory. Jay Lethal exits the ring to celebrate but Desmond Wolfe catches him from behind and drops him. Wolfe has it in his control and here comes Ric Flair. Flair starts to hit Lethal with chops but here comes Hulk Hogan and Flair is furious once again. Hogan claims that Lethal is the reason TNA is currently on fire. Ric Flair is still angry and Hogan is ready to make an announcement that will make him even more mad. Hogan announces that Ric Flair will take on Jay Lethal at Victory Road! Thoughts: Small match but the announcement was big. Weve been lead to this match and it will finally go down at Victory Road! (5.5/10) - Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring with only one incentive and that is to call out Sting. Here comes Sting and Jarrett asks him to take his glasses off so he can look him in the eyes. Jarrett goes on to talk about there careers in TNA and the respect they used to have but Sting doesnt seemed fazed at all. Jeff Jarrett believes that his fight with Sting at Sacrifice wasnt a real match because Sting was trying to end Jarrett's career instead of winning the match. The one mistake Sting made though was leaving Jeff Jarrett standing. Sting grins and Jarrett says it wont be funny next week when they have a rematch. Its left at that and the two will meet again next week. Thoughts: The hype in this rivalry is building but I dont think there will be a match next week. It might be set up but I have a feeling it will be pushed forward to Victory Road. (5/10) - Abyss vs Jeff Hardy vs Mr. Anderson The three size eachother up for a few seconds and then the match begins with Hardy and Anderson attacking Abyss. They continue the double team but Abyss finally catches Hardy and Anderson makes the save with a shot to the gut. They throw Abyss back with a double suplex and both men want the pin so the team work might be over. The two continue and now Abyss has recovered so he clothelines them both. Abyss goes for some splashes but gets taken outside the ring. Anderson looks like he is about to turn on Hardy but he hits Abyss instead. Now all three men brawl outside of the ring until the ten count is up and we have a triple count out. The match is over but the brawl isnt and Abyss clotheslines both Anderson and Hardy onto the concrete. Abyss takes Anderson back into the ring and rocks him with a Shock Treatment. He got the lucky end of the deal because Hardy gets taken out with a kendo stick. Abyss chokeslams Anderson onto some broken glass and Hardy onto some concrete off the ramp. Abyss heads up the ramp leaving the carnage behind and here comes Hogan. He asks Abyss the reason for his actions and his response is "YOU!" Thoughts: Abyss looked like an absolute beast because its not to often that someone is able to take out two competitors. The whole point of this match was to decide the contenders race and now it looks like Abyss is the clear cut leader. Jeff Hardy and Anderson arent weak opponents and Abyss took both of them out. Still some questions but were going to have to wait till next week.
