TK's Say: TNA Report 7/1

Welcome once again to the home of Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling! Last week brought pure chaos and now you can catch the aftermath right here on the TNA Report!

-

Impact opens and Abyss is already ringside and he seems to be going crazy. He scares fans out of their seats and then tosses their chairs into the ring. So Cal Val is ringside for some reason as well and now here comes Hulk Hogan.

Hogan steps into the ring and Eric Bischoff is there to break things up. Security steps in to make sure nothing goes down but Abyss fights off security in a matter of seconds. He points at Bischoff and says "you!" but Hogan is there with a steel chair to make the save. The save is only a distraction though because the chair doesnt do any damage at all. Actually I think it only pumps Abyss up.

Abyss grabs Hogan by the neck but now here comes Jeff Hardy. Hardy takes down Abyss out of pure vengeance and then hits a Swanton Bomb. The segment is over but the situation isnt because Abyss will take on Hardy tonight!

Thoughts: The segment came so fast and then went by quickly. You could hardly tell what was going on but it was clear that Jeff Hardy made the statement... but the night isnt over yet. (5/10)

Shannon Moore & Jesse Neil vs Motor City Machine Guns

The match starts off with Moore facing off with Shelley and its back and forth. The crowd starts chanting "over rated" and im guessing thats directed towards the MCMG because they start chanting "Jesse Neil" just seconds later.

Meanwhile, the match is still even but Moore goes airborne to take control. It doesnt last long though because the MCMG starts using two on one tactics to stop Moore and now the crowd is chanting "Motor City".

Moore finally makes an intense tag on Neil and he comes in strong by hitting a spear. He then goes for a quick pin but Sabin is there for the save. Now here comes Brother Ray down the ramp but Devon is there to make sure he doesnt interfere. The distraction is enough to cost them the match anyways because the MCMG double team Neil to pick up the victory.

Thoughts: Right now it looks like Devon is still teamed up with Ray but he also seems on the side of Jesse Neil. Either way, I thought that the MCMG had to easy of a win but they looked flawless none the less. (4.5/10)

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe

These two circle eachother and the match is underway. Styles is taken down early so he steps outside the ring to re-group and it doesnt work at all because Joe picks up right where he left off once Styles went back into the ring.

Joe drops Styles once again with a slap and now it looks like he is just messing with Styles. He drops a knee to the chest of Styles and the match continues in favor of Joe. Styles then finds some light and slowly fights back into the match and even manages to lift Joe and drop him.

They battle on but Joe keeps using his size to his advantage and refuses to let Styles pull away. Joe then pulls off a strong sequence by hitting a clothesline, big kick, and tops it all off with a back drop. All the momentum is in favor of Joe so he sets up for a Muscle Buster but Styles slides out and locks in a leg lock.

Joe then reverses the leg lock and turns it into a submission of his own. The choke hold is locked in tight and Styles has no choice but to tap out. Ric Flair is angry after the match and Kazarian is loving it... at least until Styles gets on the microphone and calls him out. Now Styles will face off with Kazarian next week on Impact.

Thoughts: Solid match and the match next week should be even better. Both Styles and Kazarian have been losing like crazy lately but next week there has to be a winner. (7/10)

Desmond Wolfe vs Brian Kendrick- Submission Match

Early on its too close to predict who will win but the rear naked choke is the only effective submission hold that Kendrick has. Wolfe gets knocked out of the ring and has a word with Chelsea before going back into the ring.

Moments later and the match is taken ringside and Wolfe was already out there so he manages to take control. Wolfe takes his head out of the game for a split second as Chelsea leaves ringside and Kendrick capitalizes by locking in the head lock. Wolfe taps out at his own game and Kendrick picks up the victory.

Thoughts: Kendrick really made it happen tonight but now the only question is if he can do it again at Victory Road against Douglas Williams. Match was ok but it seems like a distraction is what ends half the matches in TNA. (5/10)

D'Angelo Dinero is back after his shoulder injury and the arena is rocking. Dinero says that his return is here and he definitely hasnt forgotten about Anderson yet. He says there situation is far from over but he sets it aside for now.

He is here for one reason and that is to get back into TNA and build his way back up to #1 in the rankings and get a title shot. Only problem is that he is next on Kurt Angle's list and here he comes.

Angle welcomes Dinero back and then gives him the bad news that their paths have crossed. Only one of them can move up in the rankings and that will be decided at Victory Road. Angle tells Dinero that he must be victorious and then heads out while Dinero is left in the ring with an awkward look on his face.

Thoughts: These two fan favorites will put on a great match but Angle pointed out something important. He said that Dinero has nothing to lose and Angle has everything to lose. That fact right there is exactly why Angle will win. The climb will not end at #8 and I can guarantee you that. (5/10)

Jay Lethal vs Matt Morgan

Lethal comes out and calls out Flair but instead he gets Morgan. He comes out with a microphone and announces that Flair has asked him to join his stable called Fortune. Morgan hasnt made up his mind yet but him and Flair could agree on one thing.

Morgan attacks Lethal before he says what they agreed on and Lethal is struggling to match up to his strength. Morgan places Lethal in the corner and says that kicking your (censored) is the only thing that they could agree on. Morgan then continues to absolutely dominate the match and just tosses Lethal around like he is nothing.

Morgan sets up for a Carbon Footprint but Lethal dodges it and Morgan misses. That is the turning point and Lethal manages to fight back into the match with some drop kicks. He continues to chop down Morgan with some high-flying moves but Morgan counters and sends Lethal outside the ring.

The referee goes to check on Lethal while Hernandez sneaks his way to the ring. He catches Morgan with a low blow from behind and Lethal gets back into the ring and picks up another win.

Thoughts: Jay Lethal was losing once again this week but he keeps finding ways to win. He has to be cracking the rankings sometime soon because he manages a win at a weekly rate. (4/10)

Taylor Wilde vs Madison Rayne

Rayne wins and Angelina Love attacks after the match with a steel chair.

Thoughts: (N/A)

Dixie Carter heads up to the rafters and breaks the news to Sting that he is suspended for 30 days. Sting is furious and tries to explain but Eric Bischoff comes in with security and they take Sting away. Sting then says to forget about the 30 days and just make it indefinite.

Thoughts: He will be back. Enough said. (N/A)

Abyss vs Jeff Hardy- Special Referee (RVD)

Abyss comes down with a board full of nails and Hardy follows with nothing. The match kicks off fast and RVD takes the board out of play. The match goes ringside immediately and its Abyss who breaks the ice and sends Hardy head first into the ring post.

The match heads back into the ring and Abyss continues to take control. He goes for a pin but it doesnt work so he heads to the crowd and steals a chair but RVD takes it away. Hardy then takes advantage of the situation and fights back in. He then sets up the chair and uses it as leverage to hit a splash on Abyss.

Hardy then hits Whisper in the Wind but RVD counts it slow and Hardy is frustrated. Abyss then steals the initiative back and sets up for Shock Treatment but Hardy counters it into a Twist of Fate. He then heads to the top turnbuckles but Abyss meets him there. Hardy is able to fight him off and hits the Swanton Bomb for the victory.

Hardy won the match but its Abyss who gets the statement on the night by hitting a Black Hole Slam on RVD. He then goes straight for the board filled with nails and thankfully here comes Anderson with a chair. He swings the chair but it hits Hardy and Abyss slides in to hit Shock Treatment on Anderson and that ends the night.

Thoughts: Great match and the storyline continues to come along well. Only question is if that steel chair shot to Hardy by Anderson was on purpose or not. Another week and again its Abyss who comes out on top. (7.5/10)
