TNA Report for 5/13/10

Welcome to another edition of the TNA Report! Last week was a huge week and it picked right back up this week. Impact has officially moved back to Thursdays so lets get started.

-

The show opens off with some replays from last week and then were shot down to the announce table. Desmond Wolfe won the new contenders vote system last week and it seems that they're going to use the system again to decide who RVD will face next.

-

The first entrance to hit of the night is that of Eric Bischoff and he makes his way to the ring. He wastes no time on the microphone and introduces the heavyweight champion. Here comes the whole FN show (Rob Van Dam) and now things are about to pick up.

Eric Bischoff explains the system again to RVD and the new poll leader is Jeff Hardy! Only problem is; Jeff Hardy wont answer his phone so Eric Bischoff decides to give RVD the night off. But that doesnt go good with RVD who says that he is the whole FN show, so no nights off for him.

Before anything else is said, here comes AJ Styles. Styles starts talking about how RVD needs to be more of a role model like him but it hard to here Styles over the "Styles sucks" chants. RVD doesnt want the night off and luckily for him, AJ Styles is in the mood to hurt somebody tonight.

But the match tonight isnt all squared away because the plot thickens when Jeff Hardy makes his way down the ramp. Still wondering how court went but all Hardy seems focused on is his match tonight with RVD! AJ Styles still argues for the match even though he already has RVD in three days at Sacrifice. The only way to settle it is simple and Eric Bischoff makes the match. Its going to be RVD, Jeff Hardy, and AJ Styles in a three way match tonight on Impact. Rob Van Dam's entrance plays to end the segment and its time to move on.

-

The Beautiful People are backstage in an interview and Madison Rayne accepts the challenge at Sacrifice. Tara will put her career on the line for a shot at the TNA Knockouts Championship. The interview is kept short and sweet but The Beautiful People are still full of themselves like always.

-

Taylor Wilde vs Tara- One Fall Knockouts Match

Tara hits a high round house kick to the abdomen on Taylor Wilde when Wilde goes for a high risk move from the top turnbuckle. The kick is enough to get the quick win and Tara delivers a short attack on Wilde after the match to add some insult to injury before heading up the ramp.

Winner: Tara

Match Rating: N/A

-

The camera instantly shoots backstage where there is a crowd of random people and security. There all gathering around and I cant make out exactly what is going on. One guy keeps yelling at the camera and it seems like pure chaos with people crying. Before anything else is shown, the shows jumps to commercial break.

-

Were back from the break and I guess Chelsea was attacked by someone in a disclosed location just moments ago. She is currently explaining the situation to some people (behind camera) and they say there is still more to come.

-

Douglas Williams vs The Brian Kendrick- One Fall Match

Before the match Doug Williams gets on the microphone and starts trash talking Kendrick just like last week. He thinks Kendrick is undeserving so there match will be non-title but it doesnt matter anyway because Williams isnt the champion.

Brian Kendrick puts on an attack on Williams as soon as the bell rings but Williams is quick to escape the corner. Doug Williams starts to rough Kendrick up a bit and Kazarian joins on commentary. Kazarian decides that he is the champion after all so why not take the belt. But when Kazarian approaches the ring to claim his title, Williams quickly rushes to protect the belt he never lost but theres a price to pay. Brian Kendrick sneaks up from behind and gets the roll-up pin on Williams. The belt cost Douglas Williams the match but good news for him is that he still holds his belt... at least until Sacrifice.

Winner: The Brian Kendrick

Match Rating: 4.5/10

-

A security guard is shown walking by Christy Hemme but he refuses to give the name of Chelsea's attacker. All he says is that he is surprised and were sent off to another commercial break.

-

Back from the break and the only information we get is that the name of the attacker has been discovered. The thing though is that they wont give us the name until the attacker is in custody.

-

Matt Morgan vs Generation Me- Handicap Match

Matt Morgan kicks off the match by brutalizing Generation Me and he makes it look easy. Morgan gets on the microphone mid match and says he warned Hogan that he needed to announce his partner but since he didnt... let the bloodshed begin. He takes his opponent outside the ring but his attack is cut short by Samoa Joe who comes charging down the ramp like a bat out of hell. He hits the musclebuster on Matt Morgan and the match ends in disqualification. Matt Morgan is still down and he is joined by some more company. The Band makes their way to the ring an Kevin Nash is holding the feast or fired case from all the way back at Final Resolution.

Winner: Generation Me (DQ)

Match Rating: 2/10

-

Matt Morgan (c) vs Kevin Nash & Scott Hall- (TNA World Tag Team Championships)

Kevin Nash opens the case, holds it up, and cashes in. Scott Hall hooks the leg on Matt Morgan and thats all it took. We have new tag team champions and the first person to congratulate them is Eric young.

Winner: Kevin Nash & Scott Hall (New Champions)

Match Rating: N/A

Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neil) vs Motor City Machine Guns vs Beer Money Inc. vs Team 3D- Four Way Tag Team Match

James Storm and Alex Shelley start off the match and the Machine Guns use their high flying abilities to take out Storm until hes forced to tag in Robert Roode. Brother Devon gets in and now Team 3D starts to take out the other member of Beer Money. Shannon Moore gets the blind tag on Devon but it backfires for him. He ends up getting beat up by Roode instead of taking advantage. After a few near falls, Storm gets in and picks up right where Roode left off on Moore.

Shannon Moore almost gets the intense tag on Jesse Neil but he cant get the reach. That is until he puts in more effort and finally gets the tag. Jesse Neil rapidly takes over the match but is unable to get the pin with all the ringside competitors to break up the count. Guys start getting taken out left and right until Brother Ray and Jesse Neil are left in the ring. Team 3D hits there dual finisher on Neil but Moore rushes in to save the match. Shannon Moore then sneaks in a morgasm out of nowhere and Neil matches it with a running spear that ends the match.

Winner: Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neil)

Match Rating: 6.5/10

-

Rob Terry (c) vs Abyss- One Fall Match (TNA Global Championship)

The title match kicks off... well it doesnt. Abyss doesnt come out for his entrance and we find out why. Abyss is backstage getting handcuffed for assaulting Chelsea but he claims that he didnt do it and he doesnt seem to know anything about it. Desmond Wolfe then lunges out of nowhere and tries to attack Abyss but the police break it up. Hulk Hogan tries to settle Abyss down but Abyss just doesnt want them to take his mask off.

Winner: No Contest

Match Rating: N/A

-

Taz goes on to talk about Abyss having some mental issues and Rob Terry is still left standing in the ring. Orlando Jordan then charges out from the crowd and hits Rob Terry from behind. Jordan knows that it isnt an easy time getting Rob Terry down but he does it to perfection by using a lead pipe. After the attack, Orlando Jordan drops a few playing cards on Terry and were sent to commercial.

-

Back from the break and Orlando Jordan wants to cut to the point. The crowd wants Orlando Jordon to leave so he gives the crowd what they want. Jordan issues and open challenge and his opponent is going to have to make him leave.

-

Orlando Jordan vs ???- Open Challenge

The one fall match is accepted by no other than Tomko and he uses his power game to take control. It only takes him so far though because Jordan gets some nice counters every time Tomko goes for a big move. Jordan continues to slowly break down Tomko and Jordan came to fight tonight. The effect Jordan has on Tomko is too much and he struggles to get back in the match. Tomko cuts a break when he hits a clothesline on Jordan but it isnt enough for the win. Tomko sets up for a spinebuster but of course its countered and Jordan sinks in the guillotine choke. Tomko never taps out but the referee calls the match and Orlando Jordan is here to stay.

Winner: Orlando Jordan

Match Rating: 6/10

-

Tara vs Sarita- One Fall Knockouts Match

Winner: Tara

Match Rating: N/A

AJ Styles vs Rob Van Dam vs Jeff Hardy- Three Way Match

Jeff Hardy and RVD seem to be working together to start the match but the Hardy tries to steal a pin. The two try sorting things out but its Hardy who breaks the ice and delivers a kick to RVD. Rob Van Dam works his way back into the match shortly after that and hits a suplex on both his opponents. Hardy matches it by hitting Styles with a hangman neckbreaker but RVD breaks up the pin.

Styles then takes control and gets RVD in a figure four but Hardy breaks that up. Hardy then heads to the top rope to land a Swanton Bomb but Styles is quicker and stops it from happening. Styles is then unable to save himself though and falls victim to a monkey flip. Things are clicking for RVD but the referee gets leveled and Anderson makes his presence felt by attacking Hardy. By the time the referee is up, Styles cheats by using the ropes for leverage and gets the pin on RVD.

Winner: AJ Styles

Match Rating: 5.5/10

-

After the match Jeff Hardy gets on the microphone and tells RVD to get out of the ring because he wants Mr. Anderson in a match right now. Anderson makes it look like its about to go down but he turns around and heads up the ramp only to be met halfway up by Hulk Hogan. Anderson then tries a cheap shot on Hogan but the punch is caught and all hell is raised. Hardy starts an attack on Anderson and it ends with a Swanton Bomb from the broadcast table that puts Anderson through a table.
