Former WCW/TNA wrestler dies at age 43

International wrestling star Hector Garza has died this weekend at the age of 43, according to reports out of Mexico.

Garza, (worked for WCW during the Monday Night Wars and for TNA in the early 2000s), had been battling lung cancer.

Garza was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2012 and had received various treatments over the past 7-8 months, before eventually losing the battle this past weekend.

While in TNA, Garza wrestled in the very first match on the very first episode of TNA Impact in June 2004. There Garza teamed with Sonjay Dutt and Amazing Red to defeat Team Canada which consisted of Bobby Roode & Eric Young & Petey Williams.
