Sting was asked about almost joining the WWE about a year ago and his time with Vince McMahon.

"Yes and no. Who wouldn't want to say that they've done at least one WrestleMania? I'm not going to lie to you, I wish I had done one of those. I've had great conversations with him over the years and been real close on three or four different occasions. There was always a need met or desire of mine met with WCW or with TNA, so I stayed."

Despite this, the source claims that this episode, filmed during the UK Tour in the Wembley Arena, was one of the best episodes ever presented by TNA. This view has been shared by many comments online who stated that they believed TNA should move out of the USA. The reason of this is that the Wembley Arena was filled by thousands of people who chanted during the whole episode, making it look more of a "pay-per-view material, surely attended by more people than a TNA PPV."

WWE has been searching the independent scene looking for talents weighing around 200 pounds for the show.

WWE held a pilot taping at Florida's Sunlife University back in December for an undisclosed project. WWE reportedly loved the feel of the building and is looking to film the new cruiserweight show there.

Sheamus won in only his second Royal Rumble Match appearance. He is also the first Irish-born Royal Rumble Match winner.

This is the second time a WWE Superstar has entered at No. 22 and won the Royal Rumble Match - Triple H did it back in 2002.

Epico shad the shortest time at :12.

The Miz spent the most time in the match at 45:39.Lasting 45:39. It was also 10 minutes longer than any 2011 participant.

Cody Rhodes eliminated the most wrestlers with 5.

 Randy Orton is now tied for the most final four appearances with five (HBK, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Kane).

Three participants didn't last even one minute in the Royal Rumble Match: Jerry Lawler, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Epico.

Six more couldn't last two minutes: Alex Riley, Primo, Jinder Mahal, Michael Cole, Kharma and Big Show.

Hunico lasted the longest of any Royal Rumble Match rookie at 9:01.

"I definitely could be better on the stick, though. Is it affecting me in a negative way? I don't think so. Other than Cena, there's no one on the roster who's been champ as many times as I have."

He talked about Dixie Carter spending massive amounts of money and Triple H using one of his Promos. Douglas stated that Dixie Carter has spent nearly $150 million dollars according to his knowledge in TNA. Douglas talked about how badly they have used the young guys like AJ Styles and Bobby Roode. Douglas feels like those two guys should be stars in the business. "The stuff they are given is god awful." 


Douglas was asked about his critics who feels that he didn't live up to his potential. Douglas agreed with what Mick Foley said about him in his first book to a certain extent. He stands behind everything that he has ever said during his career. He also believes that the Extreme Reunion show has gotten more buzz than any TNA show has ever put on during their existence. He also recalled listening to a Triple H promo a long time ago and realizing that it was a promo he had done previously!

Chris Jericho and The Undertaker would also be a fresh matchup as opposed to a third match with Triple H and the Undertaker.

The above changes aren't confirmed but the the Royal Rumble is big for the creative team, as much of what happens at the Royal Rumble feeds into Wrestlemania.

It is believed Henry suffered a hyper-extended knee during his match with the Big Show while thowing a punch without properly planting his foot.

Henry peviously injured his groin which caused him to lose the World Heavyweight title months earlier than expected at WWE's December TLC.


According to a script of SmackDown that has been circulating online this week, the plan was for Daniel Bryan to attack Big Show with a chair with the Big Show making a comeback. Big Show would chokeslam Bryan and leave him laid out. The show would end with Henry delivering a big splash to Bryan, leaving Bryan destroyed in the ring.

As reported a week or so ago, the WWE reached an agreement to feature the song "Just Take Care, Spike Your Hair (The Broski of the Week Song)" on WWE programming. Now it's being speculated that Ryder may be away filiming his Youtube show for the WWE Network.

 

Ryder has been pulled from his appearance with Kelly Kelly at this weekend's Wizard World Comic Con in New Orleans.
