It has been confirmed that Petey Williams, Lance Hoyt, and Jimmy Rave have all been released from their TNA contracts. At last night's Impact! tapings, Petey lost a "Loser Leaves Town" match and that was his last match in TNA. Apparently, all three were released to "freshen up" the undercard portion of the roster by clearing out guys that have been with the company for a long time. New young talents will likely be brought in to replace these three. There are rumors that Williams and Hoyt could be back with the company later on. There are also rumors floating around that Eric Young has been or will be released from his contract, but as of right now there is no confirmation.

Yes but adding one name AND the reason for their releases AND another rumored release DOES.

Rave left awhile back, and after that Hoyt didn't have much storyline use. Eric Young, though, I know has been kinda floating around for ages with no one knowing what the hell to do with him, but we still love the guy. I guess those horrendous Davarri storyline matches were the nail in the coffin, though whether it's TNA management who want him out or EY himself, right now nobody can say :/

honestly i wasn't too happy about the cost-cut being the reason (as my source said yesterday), but firing these guys to push the lower ones.... ?! i would have rather released nash and get a midcarder a main event slot

Munoz, I would fire Don West, give nash the same pay to be commentator, then fire the steroid grandpa, scott steiner, not maple leaf muscle.

This a stupid move for TNA but I don't mind TNA releasing jimmy rave and Lance Hoyt but Petey Williams c'mon TNA Petey is like one of your best superstars and I hear talk that Robert Roode contract is about to expire in the next month TNA yall better bust yall asses to keep Robert Roode on the TNA Roster. I say TNA needs a split roster because TNA Explosion could be the Next Friday Night Smackdown instead of a weekly highlight show for TNA Impact
