Austin's Farewell Match

There is a lot of talk that Stone Cold Steve Austin will have one last match at Wrestlemania 25. The original plan was to have him face The Rock, but this was nixed due to The Rock's movie obligations. The most recent match being pondered is a handicap match pitting Shane McMahon and Austin vs. The Legacy (Orton, DiBiase, Rhodes).

On a related note, Vince wants The Rock to have a farewell match at WM 26.

    A farewell match for the Rock would be tough... ring rust and all, it will be more of a spectacle plus, who would fight him, worthy of his legacy if not stone cold.

    I think the Rock and Austin should fight... one last time, and for a brief moment, give the fans the last remaining glimpse of the attitude era.

    OH NOOO! Dont put Austin in a match where theare are more than 2 people! Its A retirement match it has to be classic one vs one! The rock should find a bit of time and respect Austin and the fans! Remeber- ONE LAST MATCH!

    Man, if they put Austin in a match with those guys it will be the worst decision ever. They can not do anything right it seems.

    i have a better idea, why don't they put triple h to retire hbk, undertaker, austin (his farewell match) and then go to face and defeat edge for the wwe title at wm xxv. its the only thing left to make him look like a supernatural being

    Stoen Cold Steve Austin verus Randy Orton in an I quit match Stone Cold finally says I quit to randy orton yet another legend killed. Guest Ref.Vinnie Mac himself.
    Thats call a mayor push right there plus shades of WM 13 with Austin passing out before telling Bret hart eh quits. So to put Orton over have him make Austin say I quit.

    Rock ain't coming back ever! Austin is so out of shape and far gone from his glory years that I wouldn't even want to see a Orton/Austin match. Sure the build up would be great but Austin couldn't match the in ring performance. I could see Austin/Shane vs Legacy but it would have to be a quick squash like match. Neither Shane or Austin could carry a match.

    Did you say Shane cant carry a match?

    UM I recall his match with the big show and that was early on in the decade where he leaped off the titan tron... phenominal proformace. I think he can carry a match. But thats my opinion.

    You ppl do realize the reason austin retired is because there is a good chance 1 morematch could paralize him for life if he takes a bump wrong. With this in mind maybe a tagteam match were he doesn't have to carry the entire match is the right idea.

    Sorry but this won't happen Orton won the rumble (if u didn't already no) so hes gettin a title match Vs the winner of the Elimination chamber at NWO so if that was to happen it wud probs happen in Backlash or something

    Orton Has a main event title match at WrestleMania so I don't think it would be all of legacy if they did that match. I do have to say that I really hope that someway we get that match between the rock and cold stone.
