2 million gallons? 2 MILLION GALLONS!?! What is he running a Sea World or water park in his backyard? That's a lot of freakin' water especially if you consider that he's gone for at least 5 days out of the week, probably even more when he's doing promotions and such.

Really people...get over it. Cena is great for wrestling b/c the simple fact is that he brings up the ratings. Whether you like him or not, he's probably the most charismatic wrestler (other than Edge) that the WWE's had since Dwayne Johnson...and I recall even back then that people were poo-pooing "The Rock" and saying he was a bad wrestler too. As for Cena's use of water...who cares? Is he paying his bills? Yes? Then who cares! As long as he isn't dumping toxic chemicals into the water, he can use as much water as he wants...so long as he pays for it.

Ok You say it dosen't couse any damage to the enviorment ...
Talk about something you know about mate . Did you know those water is recycled for usage for plantation .. the way to do that is purification , which creates CO2. Did you know how many people die in the world without clean water in the world ??

So don't try to defend a stupid idiot like cena for his overuse of water ..

Purification causing CO2? You can't be serious? You do realize that there are various ways to recycle water without adding pollutants, be it to the water or to the air. Cleveland and Detroit have great examples of how to purify water without causing any major impact (or minor for that matter) on the environment. So spare us all this tree-hugging liberal mumbo-jumbo. Next, you'll be telling us that the sun (which has been expanding in size over the past 50 years) has NOTHING to do with global warming...let alone the fact that the past 3 years globally we've seen a DECREASE in global temperatures. Give me a break.

First off he's using that much water during a drought, therefore taking it away from other people who could use it for drinking instead of watering their lawns. Secondly, no, the planet HASN'T cooled off for the last three years, its gotten hotter. Hence why we've had nastier fire seasons around the globe and why warm air is mixing with cold air sooner in the year to form tornadoes. Secondly... if the sun had been expanding in size the last 50 years we'd all be dead. Period. Learn something before opening your mouth and repeating talking points.

Devil, of course all of the water gets recycled...in one way or another. Period. Zack, you're a goof at best. No one said global warming is a myth. I said that claiming that MAN being the cause of global warming is a myth. If you're going to be a tree hugging liberal that's going to go ballistic over global warming, at least please take the time to get your facts straight. Thank you. In the mean time, I'm going fishing.

Oh...and one more comment re what Dan Kolov wrote:

Last I checked, in the US you have to pay for the utilities that you use, or those utilities get turned off. Last I checked, you DO PAY for the water you use. So, if he has a home and uses 2M or so gallons of water, guess what? He has to pay for it. Otherwise, he's breaking the law and stealing it. And since there is nothing to support that he's breaking the law, then logic dictates that he therefore must be paying for it. So get off your high horse.

As for Cena and The Rock, please. It's one thing if you don't like Cena. That's fine. I'm not a big fan of his either. However, Cena (like The Rock) brings in a crowd...a following...into the WWE that they otherwise wouldn't have. And that following is important to the WWE because they generate revenues. And the WWE will cater most to the group that generates for them the most revenues. Currently, the biggest contributors are the PG crowd. Until you realize that, you'll be seriously disappointed. Ok...now to go fishing.

    wow, koj is an idiot.

Sure, in the long run water does get "recycled" but in terms of quantity, there are ways that its not gettinr recycled to the populace, in other words...FLORIDA IS LOSING WATER! As for global warming, you dont have to be an idiot liberal to beleive in it. You could be a qualified scientists who, I dont know....STUDIES THE ACTUAL THING. They have statistics and numbers that can tell you just how people are affecting global warming.

This being said. I do not care if Cena is paying for it, and that is not the big deal, yet you use that central to his argument. Fact of the matter is one person is using 2M of water a month! It's not breaking the law, BUT ITS STILL A SHAME!

Also who cares if Cena brings in the fans, we all know he does and he gets paid handsomely for it, Cena's abilities as a wrestler or status in WWE are irrelevent, except for cracking jokes..

  31. Comment #31

X ze Eliminator, thank you for actually PROVING my points. BTW, I'm one of those scientists...and I can tell you that none of the data actually PROVES that man has had anything to do with global warming. It's merely speculation. One one is denying that the earth has been warming for a while; however, the past 3 years have shown that the earth is actually now cooling. Odd? You bet. And if Man really had the impact that some fringe scientists (and politicians) claim, then there should be NO cooling whatsoever. Now, as for Cena using up water, it's not a shame at all. To the winner goes the spoils. If he has the money, he can use his money any way he wants, so long as it's legal. Your argument stands on as rocky of ground as Congress' attempt to tax (at 90%) the bonuses for those AIG execs despite the bonuses being 100% valid, legal, and binding. LOL...good luck seeing that passed. And even if it does get passed, it will get tossed out in court based on the Constitution (see the section regarding direct and indirect taxation).

Whether or not it's based on a logical and/or true set of arguments... I couldn't blame people in that area for being mad at Cena using all that water, while they are going through a drought. Legality is just a rough representation of fairness at best, because that's the nature of it, it can't be completely accurate, and you can't take it as a measure of morals. It's made by fallible people, and has an understandable nature to not change very quickly. That brings inaccuracy, of course. Has to. And in this case, I agree yes using that much water is legal, but still a shame. Forgetting the environmental squabbling and just thinking about somebody being excessive in the wake of other people having to cut back. If I was rich, I would do a lot of excessively luxurious things... but never in the midst of other people specifically lacking those things. That's just not nice and plain unnecessary. What the heck does he need that much water for anyway? Whatever it is, couldn't he turn it off during the drought? Not even to save water or save public opinion... more like just to be nice to everyone and not rub something unfortunate in their faces. And the arguments for/against his wrestling are kinda pointless here, that's another thing I would agree with.

Put it in another way, perhaps a shorter way... if you were in a room with 10 people, and they had to fast for two days... there'd be plenty of food at the end but in the meantime they get nothing... and you somehow got a hold of a giant cake. Yes you CAN eat it all in front of them, and it is rightfully your property. But wouldn't you wait a couple of days? Or go into a corner first where they couldn't see you? Or allow others to buy a piece? Good manners and consideration of others are far more important than people these days seem to think they are.

Posted by Jane Ross on Sunday, March 22, 2009

  36. Comment #36

Hmmm...Jane, the way I read it, I think you and Koj are both right. How? Well, I don't think he's arguing that Cena's being a great guy, but he does have rights. Now, if people are going to argue about what's right, the simple facts are that Cena can do it, and he has a legal right to do so. The question is SHOULD he do it. And that brings in morality. And I would agree with you that, on the surface, it seems very unwarranted to need THAT much water. However, since we don't know WHY he's using so much water, we can't say for sure. Perhaps he has a large enough property to have a small farm where he pays farm hands to work for him. And perhaps he needs to use that much water to keep the crops going. Again, I'm not saying that is the reason, but it could be. And if it was, then can we really complain?!? Ah well...good points that both you and Koj made. The rest, is meaningless.
