WWE has been granted an extension in responding to the lawsuit against John Cena's entrance song rappers MOP who have the hit song Ante Up. They now have to respond by December 15th. The lawsuit is that John Cena "abvida" part (not sure on spelling) is from there song ante up. They want his entrance song removed and WWE to pay a heavy fine.

A bit unrelated, but does anyone know what they say at the start of Cena's entrance song, it sounds like "apple dough" but that can't be it.

They don't say anything. They're just making beats. He's been using this song for awhile and it's not as if Cena stole lyrics or a main beat. I think this lawsuit is whack. Anybody can go: ahh-da-da-daaa which means someone shouldn't be able to take create for it.

So what, the World Wildlife Fund made an issue over "WWF" and won, so who's to say this won't go down in the same manner. Not only that, but Vince acts as if he owns any and everything he sees....if the rappers win, good for them.

Wait..Which song came out first? Cena's theme song or MOP's song? Technically speaking, you can use up to 3 SECONDS of any part of any song which was approved when Mash-Ups came along in the 90's. At least as far as I know.

Just type in 'MOP Ante Up' into a google search and watch the youtube video. I'm sure you'll all hear the similarity. It's just a matter of who ripped off who. The songs as a whole are nothing like each other but the opening part sure is.

Uhmmm yeah listen to mop's ante up on u tube and you can hear why there suing cena. . . cuz the song sucks and they need to make a buck cuz it didn't help sell one copy of their album and Cena has flocks of fans and i'm guessing they say Avenue but it could be apple dough or perhaps even yaba du which maybe Hanna-Barbera might want to look into it.
