Cena on the most underrated WWE superstar and more

John Cena has an interview in the new WWE magazine. In this magazine he talks about the spinner belt, his appearance at the Rumble this year, but also gives praise to a superstar that has been underrated for his entire life.


On his surprise return at the Rumble
It really was a mystery to everyone backstage according to Cena. They kept him hidden in a car until 45 minutes after the show started. Then he was escorted to a secret room backstage. Just 60 seconds before no.30 was announced, Cena appeared backstage and everybody had 1 minute to react to his return.


On the spinner belt
He says he is flattered that "his belt" is now considered to be the WWE championship. He thought they wanted to change the layout when the belt got drafted to Smackdown. He also believes the new design for the ECW championship gives it a nice fresh look. However he notices that tradition says one championship can never be changed and that is the World Heavyweight Championship.


On Punk's World Heavyweight Championship reign
He says Punk is not on top of his friends list, but he was impressed with how Punk handled it. Punk listens to everyone, whether it's a rookie, a vet or an internet blogger. This statement from Cena stands in mere contrast with the image Punk has on many newssites, namely that he has a lot of heat backstage for not listening to anyone's advice.


And finally, who is the most underrated superstar?
According to Cena, William Regal is the most underrated superstar in WWE. He says he loves William because he is smooth as silk in the ring, and his character entertains him a lot.

   I agree with Regal as at least ONE OF the most underrated superstars. I'd have to think on that a while to come up with my own #1, but Regal would be in the running.

   rofl valo, and this was good PR all round, good on Cena. He not only states that he's not bringing back the spinner belt in a way that doesn't give credit to the throngs of folks constantly going "uuhg" online at the notion, and he simultaneously gives props to a hugely over performer in Punk, even going so far as to say C.M. reads through our comments himself, and Regal, which, this being spread mostly online and Regal being a major favorite here, is just netting himself tons of good will via association. I like Cena now, lol
