Changes made for a better Million Dollar Giveaway

WWE has made some small tweaks to enhance the excitement of the Million Dollar Giveaway. During the first week, callers were still screened before. That is to say, they were called in advance, to avoid there was a busy tone, to avoid they were watching something else than Raw, etc. This however hugely decreased their spontaneous reactions, so it seems WWE is taking a chance now, and no longer screens the calls they make.

Also, Vince McMahon's attitude has changed from week 1. It used to be a speech directed towards the snobs that looked down on pro wrestling, now it seems Vince has somehow sided with these snobs, and he looks down at his own audience, and mocked some of his winners. This makes for more emotions because Vince's (current) character just has less effort to give heat.

Also, it seems they have made the phone numbers on the cards a lot bigger. This was to avoid that Vince would have to take out his glasses, and he would come off as an old man who has trouble using the phone.

I had a thought the other day. WWE and TNA are always trying to one-up each other's ideas. It often doesn't matter as they both tend to come up with entertaining stuff whether it's a one-upper or not. But it made me think: is this 'million-dollar giveaway' an attempt to upstage the Awesome Kong 25 thousand dollar challenge? It might be. If it is, then I think Vince has made a major misjudgement. The amount of money that you're watching somebody else win, doesn't really matter. The thing of whether or not it involves wrestling, does. That's my problem with the million-dollar giveaway. It has no connection with the actual program. Vince could be a guest host on a game-show and do the exact same thing. On the other hand, it might've just been an idea, and nothing to do with the Kong thing.
