This is the Daily News Round-up for Wednesday 2nd June 2010
WWE Development Signing
Current Independant Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion, Fady the Arabian Bull, has signed a developmental deal with WWE.
One of the most powerful athlete's to step foot inside an IWF ring, he uses his size and strength to his advantage and is able to overpower opponents and manhandle them at will. Proud of his Syrian heritage, he's as indestructible as Superman, and it won't be long before championship gold is around his waist.
Fady began training at IWF Wrestling School in August 2007 and graduated from the program in September 2009.
Joe Hennig Name Confusion
As people who tuned into the 2nd Season of NXT may have noticed Joe Hennig, the son of "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig. However it seems very strange as to why hes not using his given name.
WWE giving Joe Hennig the name of Michael McGillicutty has many in the company baffled, especially since they acknowledged him as the son of Curt Hennig.
According to friends of Joe's, he was under the impression that as recent as a few weeks ago that he would be using the Hennig name on the main roster. Ever since coming to developmental, Hennig has been told to look and work like his late father because he would be using the Hennig name.
It's no secret that WWE likes complete control of their talent names, but to give a guy like David Otunga his real name on the roster and give Hennig a gimmicked name, makes no sense to most. The name Hennig would obviously mean a lot more to wrestling fans than a name like Otunga.
New WWE Video Game?
Jim Ross noted on his blog that he will be working on a new THQ-produced WWE Video Game soon, where he will be commentating alongside Jerry Lawler.
Apparently the theme of the game will be WWE Legends competing with current Superstars.
Ross says the concept explained to him was "really cool" and that he starts voice-over work in the next few weeks.

Apparently Vampiro was held for 23 hours before being released.

- Kaval, Wade Barrett and David Otunga were all trending topics on Twitter at some point last night.

* Royal Rumble: July 27th
* Wrestlemania 26: August 10th

Mcgillicutty??? what the heck is wwe thinking? Are they trying to make a joke of their company by going comedy? Now that pisses me off Joe should like every 2nd or 3rd generation star use their real name to keep the company's prestige. I am serious would be pissed if Hennig is force to use a name like McGillicutty. Who are these writers Seriously were they once working for SNL?

I understand if they think they've used the "relative of this old wrestler" gimmick too much, but to give him a gimmick name and then continue with that gimmick makes no sense. Alot of other things they do don't make sense at first, then they turn it around (kinda) so let's keep hope.. I guess. Thanks again, Joose :P

The whole stupidity is, that they acknowledge he is Curt's son.... so why give him a crap in-ring name that doesnt acknowledge that fact? Plus, as I forgot to mention, he is in fact a Third Gen superstar, as his grandfather was of course Larry "The Axe" Hennig

Two stars I like from season two already is "ruthless Agression" from Joe Hennig and Alex Riley who I see as a top heel for the company.
