TNA's Shawn Daivari, former WWE athlete Daivari, had an interview with the In Your Head radio show. You can watch the show at inyourhead.com.
On working in Japan with the Great Muta
Daivari says it is rare that they do so much with an American athlete on their first and second tour. When asked about the culture shock, he says that it wasn't a problem since he adapts very well. There might be a language barrier, but it's a more athletic way of communicating in matches, one guy leads and the other follows. He says he has a completely different character over in Japan. After all, Asia does not have beef with the Middle East like the USA, so he doesn't have to portray the heelish Middle Eastern guy that hates the West over there all the time.
About his switch to TNA
He says that TNA is very receptive for all ideas he has. They give him key points 99% of the time, but he can still fill the promos in the way he wants. The X Cup was a great way for him to get a foot in the door in TNA, and he says he's really happy for what TNA has in store for him.
He also says it would be great if a legendary supporting character like Mick Foley could come to TNA. He also says he's open for invites from WWE, should they ever want him back.
About Muhammed Hassan
Yeah, they still are friends and talk to each other on a very regular basis, just not about wrestling.
