Eric Bischoff comments on TNA vs. WWE

In Eric Bischoff's latest online blog, he comments on a few current wrestling events.

On Bret Hart and his return to the WWE:
I am happy for Bret. Hopefully, by going back to work for Vince and the WWE, Bret will be able to put a painful and personally traumatic part of his life behind him. I have always liked Bret as a person and respected him as a professional.

On his former boss, Vince McMahon:
Clearly TNA is up against a Wall Street mega-corp bully with a billion dollar bank account and a Chairman that thinks only he should have any meaningful market share of the professional wrestling business (even though he's embarrassed to admit he's in the professional wrestling business).

On the Jan 4th for WWE vs. TNA show:
This Monday Night...win, lose, or draw I have to give credit to the folks at TNA and Spike. They could have taken the easy path and put their best foot forward un-opposed. That would make the most sense to many people. But by at least getting into the fight, TNA is most likely going to gain the awareness and respect of a completely different audience.

    Remember that this is the same Eric Bischoff that ran WCW into the ground when he went up against WWE. I have a hard time taking him seriously.

    i have absolutely no interest in tna or Eric Biscoff,i guess the wwe start preparing for the demise of tna,thanks to Vince the evil genius...bigquest to all.

    How sad, I mean is Bischoff the savior? That's doubtful. But instead of remembering him running WCW into the ground (he had plenty of help) he's also the guy who gave us the best angle in wrestling (nWo) ever, the guy who won the ratings war 80+ weeks in a row and the guy who pushed Vince to churn out a better product.

    I'm not saying this Bret Hart thing will be a success but without TNA moving to Monday nights, Vince probably doesn't feel no sense of urgency to pull the trigger on that deal. With shows being on different days there was no competition. Going head to head will make each fed open their bag of tricks and force them to put out a better product. In the long run the fans will be the winner of this battle.

    Vince doesn't consider the WWE pro wrestling, it's sports ent. So now he's going up against a true pro wrestling company again. This is the new rise of WCW, very small in the beginning but ran the world of pro wrestling in the end. The WWE will have its day of demise also, nothing lasts forever.

    Ben everybody has a hard time taking his serioly he ran WCW to ground him self hes a good buiness man ill gve him that other than that hes real bad and he tried to take WWE down when he became GM of WWE he sould have never made the deal in contract it says "Which ever porgram(or somthing like that)loses has to stop production" he made it even if he had hulk hogan WWE had new superstars! whch are younger just got and still have there touch and have the ablity to work out more im telling you person acting like god vince considers WWE sports ent. and pro wrestiling and your right nothing does last for ever WCW lasted as long as it lasted didnt even get up to 520 or more episodes like WWE did there is no new rise of WCW lets face the facts the sprit of WCW is alive but the body and it itself is dead and i belive that as soon as hulk hogan puts it toghether he was gonna go after WWE i just was thinking whe n i heard the commercial the first time hes gonna make TNA go after WWE i just thought when it finally happens ilL be right!Hulk is going after WWE beacuse he has unfinished buisness with vince! hes trying to teach vince a lesson for firing him! so on this WWE vs TNA thing im with TNA GO HULK!

    Good one Lance, everyone knows TNA will rule. I stopped watching WWF when I was 9, and began to watch WCW back in 1997. Even back then I found WWF/E was too lame for me as a 9 yr old. GO STING and GO TNA BROTHER!

    Heh. Everyone's a kidder.

    TNA putting themselves in this position will undoubtedly gain them the attention [good or bad] they're looking for, but the way the product is perceived might be the determining factor.

    Saying TNA will rule is like saying you're very likely to survive falling from a plane without a parachute. There is no guarantee TNA will be the winner of the new Monday Night Wars.

    What they should do is create a new show to go up against the WWE on Monday instead of risk putting Impact! on the line.

    Моя история из жизни: мы как-то с мамой ехали в маршрутке,( мама спец по всем видам мяса на глаз определяет что это), на остановке залазит подвипывший мужик с куском свежака в одноразовом пакете. Едем. Маршрутка резко тормозит,мужик по инерции бежит вперед и пакет рвется ,оттуда выпадет свежак ,дальше мамины слова- " Мужчина,у вас вымя выпало!" я медленно сползаю под сиденье , пассажиры ржут, мужик красный - выбегает на следующей остановке :)))
