Fan suing WWE

Twyla Riley, a fan who attended a SmackDown event on May 18th, 2007, is suing WWE for injuries she suffered to her head, back, neck, knee, ankle and elbow during that event.

According to her version of happenings, she fell from the bleachers where the railing passed. WWE lawyers claim she was at fault.

Reminds me of the fat chick who fell on Naked Gun, lol! She needs to stop trying to get the best photo of a wrestler and worry about where here big butt is walking! I feel sorry for who she landed on.

Vince McMahon nor the WWE are responsible for her falling. If ANYONE can be held responsible its the owners of the venue where the wrestling event took place. WWE cannot be taken into account for her falling. If she fell both because of some design flaw of where she was seated then the owners of the arena need to be sued, not the WWE who place those railings to keep both fans and wrestlers safe and the show running smoothly. That she fell on top of it is not the WWE's fault in any way.

sorry Hardcase i too think its her fault but WWE bought the rights for that night so they were the owners of the arena in tht time and responsabile for what happens for example if a fire starts, the insurance company will ask WWE not the owner

No. 9 your right BUT WWE did not build the building, so the original owners are at fault if any..

This is another case here in America where someone wants to be sue happy!!
She just got mad that Cena was getting his arse kicked again got to excited wasn't paying attention and she just fell... LOL
    Her fault, NO case!!

All in all she waited almost three months to come up with this law suit...Plus they sell ALCOHOL at every event!

And that is why SECURITY tells you to sit down!!!

Oh Yeah I know it was a Smackdown event, so of coarse Cena wasn't their. I was being sarcastic.

Although she was mad at THE CHIMP opening up her mouth again.

Man Eddie has to be rolling around in his grave..

You can't blame WWE for falling off a railing. Vince didn't push you off.

I looked up the article. The women and her husband are suing both the WWE and the University of Missouri, who owned the arena. Great job of reporting about half of the facts of the case. You should work for the NY Times.

That all depends MVD. If WWE pyros set the place on fire than sure. BUT if it's faulty wiring or something to do with the building then WWE is not responsible just because that particular night they happened to be there when negligence to the building by its owners catches up with them. WWE is also not responsible for people's actions within the arena. Should a fan turn into a fanatic that is not the fault of the organization but of the fan themselves.

The city or whoever owns the arena will be the ones liable, unless the railing was some part of WWE set. I sometimes wonder how some lawyers passed the bar exam. What is happening here is that the lawyer is hoping the WWE will just settle out of court quickly to have a resolution and to make this little problem go away. This is why in civil cases, there needs to be a loser-pays law and a lot of this crap would end. But that's a whole other subject as to why it will never be here in the US.

If she sued the arena she would have a chance at winning, but now if she even tries that she will lose and will still look retarded.

I just looked up the case. She is suing the University of Missouri, the owners of the building and the WWE. Like I said before, they are just hoping for an out of court settlement, they have nothing to lose, probably scum trash anyway.
