Former ECW referee Wes Adams has gone back to wrestling after his 90-day no compete clause expired.
In an interview with In Your Head Wrestling Radio, Adams spoke about how he was a wrestler first, training in both TNA and WWE's developmental territories from 2004 to 2007. He says he was called up to be a referee most likely because he has an "average look" and "didn't stand out".
He also revealed that, unlike independent promotions, referees in WWE "get a lot of respect".
Adams was released in August this year after he made the mistake of calling for an early finish in the main event of the August 12th edition of ECW.
