SmackDown's star Funaki is officially going under a new name. His new wrestling name is "Kung Fu Naki." WWE.com changed all Funaki's references to his name in his profile to reflect on hiss new ring name on SmackDown. On Oct 10th, Funaki was being under the nickname of "Kung Fu Naki" in a backstage segment along with R-Truth. On last night's show, Funaki was wearing a karate suit in another backstage segment including Big Show, and Vickie Guerrero.

I may be wrong, but I thought Funaki was japanese. Last I recall Kung Fu is chinese.
I dont mean to sound ignorant, but isnt that kinda racist "oh hes asain, give him an asain gimmick."
I know for a fact japanese martial arts is different then japanese.

Well there are many, many types of Kung Fu. I wouldn't be surprised if a fair few of them were Japanese. China and Japan were kinda an historical 'big pair' in the development of lots of martial arts.

actually "badman" the name of the song is "kung-fu fighting" it was released in the late '70's.
