Hall Of Famer Closes The Door On Wrestling

It is official, During Stone Cold Steve Austin's Hall Of Fame induction speech, the Rattlesnake Himself announced that he has closed the doors on wrestling.

During the speech the live audience chanted "one more match" and Steve's reply "I don't know about that".Later on in the speech Austin said that although he is closing the doors on the wrestling business he hopes the fans will still support him in his movie career.

"I want to close the door on my wrestling career, but I don’t want to close the door on you. I want to say thank you. As I move away from professional wrestling and into the movie industry
or that line of work, I just want you to be able to continue to support me and know that I’ll do whatever I can to try and entertain you the best I can.”

Stone Cold should at least make an appearance tonight, and maybe throw around some good 'ole Stunners. The very fact that he himself said he's closing the door on the wrestling gig saddens me, but being the gigantic SCSA fan that I am, I will support him in all future endeavors. I hope he comes out with another movie soon.

However, what he said last night: Does that actually mean that he won't be making anymore WWE appearances?

Maybe I am looking too much into this, but Stone Cold called John Cena over to him when he had some beers in his hands then gave one to John Cena. Was that a sign of passing the torch? Granted Austin has been done with wrestling for some time, but Austin like what they said the one to bring the industry out from what it was, so was that sign saying that Cena is the next person to bring the industry up another level?

It was the Top guy of the last era showing respect to the Top Guy of the new era. It was definitely the passing of the theoretical torch. If cena was as child friendly as they say he is he would've refused and said he doesn't give in to peer pressure =) Stupid PG ratings

Passing the torch? Yea right. The flame on that torch went out years ago. WWE has killed the business.
