What was supposed to be a major surprise for the 8th March's clash with WWE was revealed by Hulk Hogan as he was a guest, along with Jimmy Hart, on The Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning show today to hype TNA's move to Monday nights.
When they were discussing the new talents brought in by TNA, Hogan said he heard that TNA signed a major talent last night. This was followed by the 'thumb point' (also known as "pointing to yourself") symbolically associated with Rob Van Dam.
People within TNA are "fuming mad" that this surprise was leaked.
Spike TV's Twitter also mentioned this signing: "RT @TNA_FANS: HULK HOGAN confirms "Mr. Monday Night" RVD has signed with TNA Wrestling!"
The video of Hogan and Hart can be seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm5n4JdZjLo
It is believed that this is not the only surprise that TNA is planning for the first of the Monday Night agreement with Spike TV.

YESSSSSSSSS about time RVD is back - hope he brings Sabu so we can have the old TNA hardcore matches i.e. Raven vs. Sabu vs. RVD vs. Jeff Hardy and maybe Rhino - those were EPIC WINS

How pissed off is Mortal that he didn't break the story about his stoned zero charisma ageing boyfriend anyway?

So, no one's going to point out how washed-up RVD is? He used to kick ass, but at this point he's boring.

IMO, signing RVD is too little too late to save TNA after Hogan and Bishoff took charge so this won't surprise me if he's barely used.
