Judgment Day Results

Here are the results to the Judgment Day PPV:

Match #1
Umaga b. CM Punk
 -Late in the match, Punk went for the GTS, but couldn't connect. Umaga took over and hit a splash in the corner of the ring. He then connected with the Samoan Spike for the win.

Match #2 (ECW Championship Match)
Christian (c) b. Jack Swagger
 -Late in the match, Swagger countered a Kill Switch attempt into a suplex. Swagger then tried to finish it with the gut wrench, but Christian escaped and rolled up Swagger for the 3.

Match #3
John Morrison b. Shelton Benjamin
 -Charlie Haas accompanied Shelton to the ring. Late in the match, Haas jumped up on the apron but Morrison quickly disposed of him. Morrison hit a Starship Pain and got the pin.

The Miz came to the ring for a promo. He calls out John Cena and makes fun of the Chicago crowd. He compares Cena to the Chicago Cubs, calling them both lovable losers. Miz notes that Cubs center fielder Alfonso Soriano is at ringside watching. He inquires about why Soriano does Cena's hand gesture every time he hits a home run. Miz jokes, saying it means that there is no World Series ring. The Miz challenges Soriano to enter the ring but he doesn't. Miz takes out his phone and says he is getting a call from Cubs manager Lou Piniella, with Lou saying that he wants Soriano to get his yearly injury during a game.

Match #4 (Intercontinental Championship Match)
Rey Mysterio (c) b. Chris Jericho
 -Late in the match, Jericho was in control. Mysterio mustered up a counter and hit a 619 and springboard for the win.

Match #5 (WWE Championship Match)
Batista b. Randy Orton (c) (Via DQ; Orton retains)
 -Orton went for the RKO late in the match but was thrown into the ref. Orton slapped the ref, getting him DQ'd.

Post-match, Legacy came down and assaulted Batista. Ric Flair came out and took out Cody while Batista hit the Batista Bomb on Orton. Batista then took out DiBiase. Flair and Batista celebrate in the ring.

Match #6
John Cena b. Big Show
 -At the end of the match, Big Show was poised for a Chokeslam, but Cena countered into an Attitude Adjustment and the pin.

Match #7 (World Heavyweight Championship Match)
Edge (c) b. Jeff Hardy

   Like the Edge v Hardy match outcome wasn't already telegraphed when Hardy had to stupidly make a comment about how Edge wins and then loses the belt in consecutive PPVs. Overall, just another boring PPV.

   I actually though Jeff was going to win. But aside from Batista/Orton and Show/Cena, all the matches were awesome as wrestling goes. But it's always lame when there are four title matches and not one title changes...

   Your report sucks. First you screwed up the ending to one match. Then you give a ton of info about the preliminary matches and dont say crap about the main events.

   Same as wee-man but am glad all champs retained..specialy edge.Now i hope the next challenger for edge's title is either morrison or umaga.

    i liked the crowd..i mean jericho got alot of cheers specialy when he put on walls of jericho..and edge aswell.
