Jeff faces a long time in prison

One of the charges Jeff Hardy faces, Opium Trafficking, carries a mandatory sentence of 3-14 years, even for first offenders. But this is only one of the charges he faces, and, with the case ongoing, the list could increase.

Wow! I feel sorry for him. If he did the crime in question, then perhaps he DOES need a couple years in jail to finally get his head straight. At this point, it's nolonger about his career [which is practically toast for the forseeable future], it's about getting his life under control.

If someone decides to destroy his body, it's his choice. If it would be for sale, I say put him in jail.
Too bad for Jeff he lives in a country that allows their citicens to posses guns, which harm others. But when you posses something that harms the user you go to jail. Seems a lot like hypocracy

Well, I believe that Jeff should have some time in jail, hes been using drugs a lot lately, and hes been suspended from WWE a couple of times because of drugs. He should learn a lesson after a bit of jail time. Hopefully it won't be that bad.

Jeff Hardy will dies soon. Michael Jackson was addicted to pain killers (opiates)... It's his own fault. Good bye Jeff Hardy. you knew the choices you could make you knew the consequences. Good riddence. you couldn't even wrestle anyway.

What I really find amusing is that people are making judgments and assumptions based on internet rumors of what he was caught and charged with. There are numerous articles/reports floating around and each of them vary in detail of the charges. I live in NC not 10 minutes from Jeff's house and the local paper here doesn't even list the opiate charges. When/if an OFFICIAL copy of the arrest record is released and IF he is convicted by a jury of his peers AFTER actual evidence is produced then ya'll can talk about what he did wrong. Innocent until proven guilty. As far as charges of distributing are concerned, if they are pressed it is only because of the quantity of narcotics in possession. No one ever caught Jeff actually selling to anyone.

it is not an assumption that jeff hardy has issues with drugs. Jeff hardy has been on his last warning before WWE will terminate his contract for a while. luckily for him he walked before he got Fired!!!! IF Jeff hardy has become addicted to Opiates and IF Jeff hardy is supplying others with said opiate then he not only deserves to go to jail for a long time but also deserves ALL the afteraffects of opiate abuse.. ergo DEATH, Loss of family friends... I have been a druggie, and yes i deserve everything that has happened to me as a result of MY choice to take my first line of speed. or my first Puff at the dragon... i deserved to lose the love and respect of my parents i deserved to be dumped by my first wife. I deserve every ounce of crap that has ever been splattered all over me as a reslult of my former being. I am now clean. and yes i am still carrying the after affects of being an addict. My brain isn't as sane as it could be. I see things that aren't there. I missread situations, I am paranoid and i could well collapse of a heart attack at anypoint even at 27... what i have done to my body will come back to kick me in the ass. and stand over me saying 'i told you so'... and yes i will put my name to this... I am Joe Bow.

BIG Disappointment Jeff...but I doubt he distributed it. If anything, he used it for his own personal addictions. With a job like his, why sell drugs?

TeeZee The only thing to you was the gun thing I fully agree with baring arms. The judging thing was to the others on here. I'm sorry to hear you have been caught and suspended luckily I have not been caught by any of the promotions I have worked with. Pain killers alcohol and pot seem to be a norm in the biz. I know Jeff personally and I hope he gets through this ok. I have never known Jeff to sell just use. He has been doing this for years. He was signed to WWF when he was 17 and was doing Indy since 15. If any of yall have put your bodies through what he has you would use something to kill pain as well and FYI to yall that don't know asprin doesn't do the job. TeeZee didnt mean to offend you. It was mainly to the idiots on here that don't know.

To On. I haven't been in the ring for 6 months. Just because you have been out of the biz for a month, 6 months, hell even a year doesn't mean you still don't have pain. I have a blown out knee and elbow problems and it hurts everyday. I can obviously tell that ON has never been in the ring or you would understand the pain.

Jeff DOES NOT SELL DRUGS JUST USES THEM. THE AMOUNT OF WHAT HE HAD IS WHY HE IS BEING CHARGED WITH DEALING. HELL MY DAD GETS PAIN KILLERS FROM THE DOCTOR ONCE A MONTH AND IT'S TWICE THE AMOUNT JEFF GOT CAUGHT WITH.

did i say he doesn't have the pain? no, once again you are the one jumping to assumptions...for someone who came on saying 'blah blah jumping to assumptions'.. you sure do jump yourself. i did however say he doesnt have a job anymore... which is true. he left wwe tgo persue other career paths... i didn't mention the pain. as yes pain doesnt go away over night. see there's a difference between your dad's pain killers and the ones jeff supposidly got caught with. your dad's pain killers are legally prescribed. yes Jeff's 'pain' may be that of more than legit pain killer prescriptions may require. but, THAT is down to the doctor he sees. surely if it was THAT bad the doc would prescribe an appropriate ammount of pain killer for his pain. taking the matter into your own hands is illegal. thus even if it is a lower ammount than what your dad gets... he would still get locked up...and... he may not SELL drugs but im sure he may of passed some on to a buddy which also constitutes SUPPLY!!!

I feel bad for Jeff... People need to stop judging Jeff ues he had pain killers yes the quantity was aot but itg's what he feels he needs... I've been in ring, yes it's fake but it still hurts hitting a mat at full force every night for nearly two decades... I've only been wrestling for five years & I hurt nearly everyday... & being on the road with pain & lonlyness can turn even the strongest of men to drugs... Don't judge him until you've lived his life

@On-- apparently you don't know that much about the business. Ya can't go to Vince and whine "I hurt I need a week or 2 off". If Jeff tells the docs how much pain he is really in and gets legally prescribed pain killers then it gets reported to Vince as part of the Wellness checks and you suddenly find yourself getting wrote out of the storylines. To survive in this business you have suck it up and manage the pain behind closed doors as best as you can. If you let on that your really hurting you are considered a liability and suddenly WWE is too poor & can't financially afford to keep you on staff.

however as Jeff is no longer 'in the business' this is not at question. and the whole you do what you have to to survive doesn't stick...He can go to the doc to legally get the pain killers without risk of losing his job. he doesn't have to ask vince for time off. So why now does he need to do it illegally?

Don't forget that when polica lay quite a few charges, some of them end up being dropped.
It is possible that as more evidence comes to light, all of the trafficking charges will be dropped, as the amounts weren't that big (about a month's worth of prescription if you were actually given one by a doctor, which it seems Jeff wasn't). Of course, there could be other evidence that Jeff was also giving some of the drugs to other people, which could be why he was charged for dealing even though they weren't large amounts.
