Mickey Rourke on Luger, Piper and more

Newsday.com has posted parts of a roundtable discussion with the participation of Mickey Rourke, who, as you all know, stars "The Wrestler." During the interview, Rourke said he wanted to have a look similar to Lex Luger for the movie and admitted to be "surprised to see how he (Luger) ended up."

He also referred to Roddy Piper (who was reported to have cried after seeing the movie) stating that Piper paid them the "highest compliments" they could wish for.

Rourke also said he met Afa (from the Wild Samoans) and even talked to The Rock telling him that he'd get a copy of the film so that they could know his impression.

Finally, he referred to learning how to wrestle, stating that they went from basic matches (the original plan) into more complex ones, even training without letting Darren Aronofsky know.
