More on NXT Concept
The WWE has announced the concept of NXT but is yet to confirm what the winner actually gets. There was an idea to have the winner get a contract to RAW and the runner-up receive a contract to Smackdown, but the idea was shot down when Smackdown was against having the WWE openly admit to RAW being the superior brand.
This has led to talk of two overall winners to make both brands look even. The idea of having an interactive fan vote has also been shot down and the WWE has revealed that the winners will be decided by a vote at the end of the season. The coaches of the rookies will be voting but cannot vote for or against there own rookies.

They are just not voting for their rookies. Not for. Not against. No vote. Only vote on other rookies.

I think what it means is that voting down or something like that. I mean, the Miz will definitely try to make sure Daniel Bryan won't win, so won't he 'vote against' him. As for the fact that the fans can't vote, that just gets in the way of kayfabe and all that. Then just faces will win, with all the 12 year olds voting. And I'm sure that WWE's creative team would prefer to choose who would win NXT for writing necessities.
