Nick Dinsmore (a.k.a Eugene)
TNA held discussions with Nick Dinsmore some time ago about signing him and using a gimmick similar to the Eugene one used in WWE. Current reports state that talks recently stalled.
Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas
Reports state that TNA is interested in signing Shelton Benjamin and his former tag team partner Charlie Haas who is currently a free agent.
Whilst Benjamin was still signed to WWE, Haas had already called him about not renewing his contract during an interview. Haas made reference to TNA and spoke about his plans of going there with his former tag team partner.
It is reported that many want to see the company sign both Haas and Benjamin and reunite them with their former on-screen “mentor” (in WWE), Kurt Angle. The team named “Team Angle” was a prominent storyline on SmackDown about 10 years ago when Haas and Benjamin were experiencing the peak of their WWE career.
Benjamin is the only recent WWE release that TNA is looking to pick up at this time.
Scott Hall and Sean Waltman
Currently, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman are working on on pay-per-appearance deals. Hall is earning about $3,000 per appearance, making him one of the highest paid in the company.
Many feel that in the last appearances, Hall and Waltman have improved a lot and working together far better than they were during their first days with TNA. The feeling is that they've finally realized that this might be the last opportunity they have in the wrestling business.
Scott Hall is already reported to be on a strict diet and has dropped a lot of weight. His aim is to get down to 255 pounds (one of his lowest weight in the last years).
Vince Russo
Vince Russo is planning to move from Colorado to Nashville, Tennessee and has been telling people that he might take a different job within TNA but away from writing shows.
