Actor Mr. T, who wrestled in Wrestlemania I and II, said in a recent interview that he had been planned for a WWE Hall of Fame induction. According to him, he didn't accept it because of Pete Rose being inducted:
"WWE asked me to be in the Hall of Fame and I turned it down. You know why? They put Pete Rose in the wrestling Hall of Fame. This guy can't even get into his own Hall of Fame. After they put Rose in they came and asked me and I said 'You don't insult me! You don't put Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame before me! I ain't going to be a part of that.' They put him in and he only did one Wrestlemania (SIC), and he didn't even wrestle."

NOTE: Rose made appearances in three Wrestlemanias (XIV, XV and 2000)

Rose was put in because most people feel he deserves to be in the Baseball HOF but can't because of the gambling that took place after his playing career. WWE got the easy publicity when they inducted him because news stations had a quick segment of Rose and the WWE playing as they said, "Finally Pete Rose can say he's a Hall of Famer. Today he..." It's not like Mr. T was any different to the WWE. He was just another celeb the WWE brought in for the extra ratings boost.
