After tonight's ECW/Smackdown Tapings two new announce teams for Smackdown and ECW have been formed.
Smackdown for now is being called by Jim Ross & Todd Grisham while ECW is being called by the team of Matt Striker & Josh Matthews. These look to be the for now commentary teams unless the WWE draft changes things.

Surely Striker, as a colour commentator, would be better employed alongside JR than a second play-by-play guy? Josh Matthews will probably do as good a job as Grisham alongside Striker anyway

Striker's almost in JR and Jerry's position I guess as one of their top commentator's, and they want to spread them around and cover their bases. With WWE's storyline above wrestling style, experienced and skilled commentary is critical, and they can't leave any of their brands weak in that area I guess. Still, Stiker, the King and JR had better call a PPV together sooner or later, the two of them'd be gold lol

Todd Grisham and JR? That combination is never going to work - I expect something in the first week of the draft - like JBL going back to commentary on Smackdown, unless they have the GM position lined up for him.

This...is...awesome.
Granted, Grish and JR sounds a little weird, but Josh Matthews NEEDED a break like this, because he's a damn talented announcer.
